Samson A.K
Samson A.K is a London-based producer and DJ with releases on Jon K & Elle Andrews’ MAL Recordings and Berceuse Heroique, as well as his own label Ideal State.
His work moves between blown-out techno, mutant dancehall and more abstract, noise-leaning material, with a consistent focus on low-end, space and pressure across both collaged mixtape formats and more direct dancefloor productions.
Recent projects range from cut-and-paste tape work built from his own productions and sketches through to longer-form, atmospheric material, and more upfront tracks that push into grime and techno territory.
As a DJ and live performer, his sets follow a similar line, pulling from techno, industrial, post-punk, dub and dancehall without sticking too closely to any one lane.
His work has been featured by NPR Music (Best New Electronic Music) and reviewed by Passion of the Weiss and Boomkat, with radio support across NTS Radio, BBC Radio 1, Rinse FM and more.
