Dychromatic
Born in Norilsk, raised between Ukraine and Germany and now based in Dortmund, Dychromatic relaunched his alias in early 2022 after earlier years under a different name.
His approach is direct: read the room, don’t force a concept. Moving between techno, house, minimal, electro, breaks and trance, his sets favour rolling, movement-driven rhythms, stripped-back sound design and tension built through reduction rather than excess.
Rooted in DIY and off-grid environments, his perspective is shaped by warm-ups, closings and extended sets that stretch well beyond the usual club format. As a resident at Tresor.West, Dychromatic has developed a fluid, wide-ranging approach across different settings — from functional club rooms to more open-ended spaces where housier, progressive, deep-tech, leftfield, breakbeat and bass-oriented records can come into focus.
That range also extends beyond the dancefloor. In more listening-oriented contexts, including ambient sets for art exhibition settings, his selections shift toward texture, atmosphere and spatial pacing — less as a departure from the club, more as another way of working with time, mood and attention. Across these settings, his strength lies in knowing when to hold a line, when to open it up, and when to let the room lead.
