Suanni 狻猊 is a Chinese dragon lion associated with smoke, fire, patience, and power. That mythology is reflected in her sound through controlled intensity, cinematic build ups, and relentless momentum, balancing aggression with precision.
Suanni is a techno DJ and producer blending industrial pressure, dark groove, and hypnotic bounce, shaped by Berlin’s warehouse culture and New York City’s late night club energy. Having studied music in Berlin and lived in NYC, her sound is fast, driving, and ritualistic, built for high intensity dance floors and extended late night sets. She primarily plays hard techno, hard bounce, industrial, hard grooves, and schranz.
Based in San Francisco and connected to Berlin and NYC, Suanni has performed across clubs, underground warehouses, open air renegades, and international showcases, including appearances at Public Works, 1015 Folsom, Midway SF, Factory 93 events, and underground showcases in Shibuya, Tokyo with a Berlin based collective. She has supported artists such as Deborah De Luca, ØTTA, Funk Tribu, Southstar, Somewhen, Franck, MCYL, and Dani Thorne.
