Justus Hildebrand

Having kept an eye on the city's electronic music scene for over a decade, Berlin native Justus Hildebrand finally decided to jump behind the decks in 2021. Playing at small, intimate gatherings and occasionally publishing recordings on Ufnau Records, which he and a few close friends founded in 2023, he has been exploring the various facets and subgenres of his beloved techno, searching for the emotional links between grumbly 90s acid techno, the harsh industrial sounds of the early 2010s, floating dub techno records and todays wave of complex, fast paced groove selections.

Understanding the value of a good interplay between DJ and crowd, he always tries his hardest to bring the right music for the job, seeing himself not as the center of attention but rather as a guiding companion throughout the night. With a focus on building a musical relationship with his listeners, his aim is to provide a space to find elation through music and dance, offering to carry them towards collective peaks while recognizing that there is an occasional need to breathe and take it slow.
