Nation Unrest
Nation Unrest are a London-based three-piece whose sound merges stark electronic rhythm with dark, atmospheric textures and raw emotional force. Formed by Cal Graham (also a member of The Chisel) and Josh Smith (from Chain of Flowers), the project began as an experiment in tension, minimalism, and heavy, pulsing electronics; evolving quickly into a full creative statement.
The band first surfaced with their 2019 release Hard Rhythm Electronics for a Burning World, a record defined by its sharp edges, dense percussion, and urgent vocal delivery.
In 2025, Nation Unrest expanded with the addition of electronic artist and producer Evil Dust, whose cold, serrated synth work pushes the project into deeper and more expansive territory. With the new lineup in place, the band are currently writing fresh material, set for release at the beginning of 2026, marking a significant new chapter in their evolution.
The rest of it — one more paragraph
Driven by atmosphere, rhythm, and a sense of looming pressure, Nation Unrest create music that feels both immediate and cinematic; a reflection of modern unease rendered in stark, electrified form.
