aksendo
For aksendo, music has always been closely tied to memories. A sunset on the Albanian coast, a road through Croatia, a warm summer night or an ordinary Friday back home in Kaunas can stay with him for months and eventually find their way into something he plays or creates. It is often these small moments, rather than a particular genre or formula, that give him the strongest ideas.
The same is true in the studio. His productions usually begin with a feeling he wants to return to and slowly take shape from there. Pico De Amor, released on Connected, became an early milestone, passing 330,000 streams on Spotify and later finding its way onto dance floors including Zamna Tulum. For him, seeing a track travel somewhere he has never taken it himself is still one of the most rewarding parts of making music.
Kaunas remains at the centre of his world, with Decks & Stories becoming a big part of the life around it - bringing together music, people and the stories that come with both. At the same time, playing outside home has taken him from Vilnius clubs to summer nights along the coasts of Albania and Montenegro, constantly adding new places and memories to draw from.
The rest of it — one more paragraph
There is a lightness to the way aksendo approaches all of it. He takes the music seriously without wanting it to feel serious. The best nights, for him, are usually the ones where people loosen up, the plan disappears somewhere along the way, and everyone in the room ends up being in the moment.
