André Baum

2 listings in 2 named rooms, over the last three years

also plays New York City — 6 nights

Classically trained in piano, Baum’s innovative blend of electronic and pop music with art installation and film score has carved out a distinctive voice in contemporary music. Named after André Breton, Baum’s practice is inextricably linked to Surrealism, emphasizing radical self-inquiry and cultural critique whether making music for dancing or listening. For over a decade in Berlin, Baum’s work has spanned various mediums, including numerous collaborations with iconic German artist Rebecca Horn. He has hosted his People People Thing party at Club der Visionaere and Hoppetosse since 2021 with musical partner Gulp. In 2025, Baum continues to push the envelope with his cross-genre productions and features as a singer - setting the stage for upcoming surprise collaborations and a debut solo album later in the year.
