“Where words fail, music speaks.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Where words fail, music speaks. Reserved and solitary, Léa found refuge in music since her childhood. Jazz, soul music or French chansons, family moments usually came and still come hand in hand with music and sharing the joint, somewhat meditative listening experience. An ardent curiosity for Electronic Music started rising in her highschool days, pushing her towards broadening the musical horizon and consequently DJing in parallel to her fashion and design studies. After a few years of exploring parties in Germany and Paris, she co-founded Spectrum Waves in 2017 - a parisian LGBTQ+ collective with tolerance, diversity, freedom, parity and respect at its core. The collective hosts events at Station Gare des Mines, a rehabilitated industrial wasteland and former railway station, to provide a safer space for minority communities, where freedom of expression is lived in all thinkable forms. Through its lineups and podcasts channel, Spectrum highlights emerging French and international DJs and producers. Léa is also at the forefront of promoting women in the Parisian electronic scene. Further commitments go as far as donating parts of the Spectrum earnings to different associations close to her heart such as aid to migrants and refugees, LGBTQIA+ associations or the fight against HIV. Through her collective, she has managed to create a perfect balance between her own desires, ambitions and her fundamental values. Name the unnameable, communicate the unknowable. Spectrum Waves also vastly helped shaping Léa’s musical comprehension and appreciation of Techno as an outlet, which is able to create the same meditative listening experience and togetherness she feels when listening to music with her family. Her sets stand out for their sharp selection and absolute coherence. A mental, groovy Techno fueled by organic, tribal elements – widely reverberating in its uniqueness and class. The creation of an intimate atmosphere and cohesion in each of her sets makes them stand out, equally so does the implementation of feelings and emotions while at the same time following a rather minimalistic approach in the music itself. A real digger at heart, she has a very wide range of styles and tempos, from techno to micro house, minimal, deep, or ambient - she knows how to adapt and read energies, giving what's needed at the right moment. Pornceptual, Eerste Cie, Power Dance Club or Meat free… Playing for collectives that match her values and commitments is crucial. She performs in renowned clubs and festivals such as Berghain, Tresor, Club Raum, De School, Bassiani, Basement NYC, Fold, Le Sucre, ∄ Kyiv, Awakenings, Dekmantel, Fusion, Whole Festival to name a few. “Olaf Bender's creative work began with the casual finding of 16mm film equipment during school time.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Olaf Bender's creative work began with the casual finding of 16mm film equipment during school time. From that moment on, he started experimenting with the medium "film" as well as the raw material "film". Technical limitations forced special methods: he scratched directly on the footage to create geometrical figures; the results were archaic motion patterns. As a consequence of his experiments, he came into contact with the East German underground band AG Geige of which he became a permanent member in 1988. By working with this group, he also got into musical aspects. The home computer made it possible for autodidacts like him to work multimedially without musical training. After the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989, Bender worked in music distribution. The experiences he gained there led him to the idea of publishing his own music by himself. Together with Frank Bretschneider, he founded the record label rastermusic in 1996 which later merged with Carsten Nicolai's noton label to form raster-noton. Since the label's founding, Bender has produced music solo under the pseudonym Byetone, but it was not until 2008 that he released his first full-length record on raster-noton. The lead single »Plastic Star« also defined his signature sound, presenting a minimalist rhythm-based music with a rock attitude that can do without too much processing and decoration; an archaic, rebellious music full of energy. The year 2008 also saw the release of his first full-length record, the highly acclaimed »Death of a Typographer«, whose follow-up »Symeta«, released in 2011, even entered several "record of the year" lists. In the wake of his own records, Byetone has also produced remixes for artists like Modeselektor and VCMG (Vince Clark and Martin L. Gore), as well as sound works for fashion designers like Rick Owens, Nina Ricci or NikeLab. Besides being part of raster-noton's supergroup Signal, he is also part of the duo Diamond Version (together with Carsten Nicolai) that released a series of EPs and a full-length record on Mute Records in 2013.Their RA profile lists Raster-Noton, Bine Music, blundar, Raster and 1 more.“CAIVA has produced a diverse and eclectic range of electronic music, using her voice, guitar, saxophone and piano.”

Cryptofauna's style embraces forward pushing Techno, complemented by gritty soundscapes and a sonic aesthetic that carries warmth, dust and eccentricity. She's a resident of Berlin based collectives Dissident and TILT. Her work envisions the dance floor as a common ground of light and dark, always holding space for the freaks, hoes, gays, thems and dolls. For Crypto, the club is a refuge that breaks barriers – between abstract and functional, moon and sun, right and wrong. A place that brings people together through frequencies and movement. One nation under a groove.* Spending 10+ years of finessing her abilities in selection, mixing techniques and crowd control, Crypto’s power lies in the way she leads the dance floor from collective immersion to euphoric peaks and back to tunnel zone. Expect a candid dance floor and sultry madness while she's zoning out in the booth, pouring her heart right in front of you. Still a dedicated club kid, joining her community on nights free of duty... Crypto’s connection to club culture keeps staying strong and growing deeper, weekend after weekend. On her journey through club culture, Crypto used to be a promotor, worked at digital and vinyl distribution Word And Sound and wrote music reviews. Combined with handling the books herself for more than 10 years, she unlocked deep insight into what makes the industry tick. Across Europe, Cryptofauna made appearances at various venues, including Panorama Bar and Säule as well as Tresor, OHM and RSO in Berlin; POING in Rotterdam; Macadam in Nantes; FVTVR in Paris; and Club RAUM, Radion and Lo-Fi in Amsterdam. In 2025, she landed her first intercontinental bookings spanning from New York (Nowadays, The Lot Radio, Lettone Dance) to South/East Asia with debuts in Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand and South Korea. Returning with fresh inspiration from meeting with the local communities, that tour was a perfect way to tap into new sonic adventures in 2026. * The line „one nation under a groove” refers to one of the pioneering tracks of house music called „House Nation Under A Groove" by DA Rebels (a duo formed by Curtis Alan Jones aka Cajmere/Green Velvet and Liddell Townsell)Their RA profile lists Lehult and TILT.often with Carly Zeng, Ignez, Sub Sahara, none of them here that night

Over the years, the duo have developed a signature sound that sits between hypnotic, tension-building arrangements and driving, functional techno. As one of the most iconic artists of her generation, Ellen Allien embodies the core ethos of techno: a visionary who looks to the future for inspiration, carving out her own niche and presiding over an empire that has infused techno, rave, and dance music culture with her unique DNA. Ellen Allien’s journey through the years is a blueprint for a healthy underground community and grounded career in music. Her playful mind and openness to sharing knowledge, imbues her art with an energy and inspiration that’s been highly influential to the subculture across art, design and fashion in her native Berlin. Ellen’s eternally creative mind has led to the production of ten albums, to join her extensive back catalogue of singles, EPs and remix work for seminal labels like Warp and Mute. Most recently she’s collaborated with Italian band Ash Code to bring together dark wave and techno in a seamless dancefloor marriage, remixed Lebanon Hannover and Rosa Anschütz, as well as contributing tracks to compilations from Gegen and Serendeepity. In 2023 she celebrated the 20th Anniversary of her seminal album ‘Stadtkind’, her most recent album AurAA delivered emotional techno resonating far beyond the dancefloor. A dynamic selector who prides herself on her extensive knowledge of music and dance floors, she’s travelled the globe as a DJ playing at every major club on the circuit, and commanding the big stages at festivals from Europe to South America. Ellen runs her days long ‘We Are Not Alone’ raves at RSO in her beloved hometown Berlin, bringing the party worldwide as UFO Rave, and she hosts in-store record shop gigs as Vinylism. In her role as head of BPitch, and UFO Inc., Ellen channels her ceaseless passion for digging into A&R, seeking out and nurturing new talent, alongside established artists and friends. She has signed new artists to her labels, including German trans-media artist Rosa Anschütz, Dutch electronic producer extraordinaire Dollkraut/DJ Europarking, and supports the growth of future talents like Métaraph and Shaleen through the booking agency. Steering the label to become one of the most important platforms for underground electronica. BPitch operates in a league of all its own, influencing the scene at home, but with a global reach. Ellen Allien’s constant forward focus led to the conception of a brand new record label, UFO Inc. in 2018; as an incubator for rough, ravey, raw techno – providing an additional space for Ellen to release her tougher productions, purely for the dancefloor. 2020-22 presented an extremely difficult situation for Ellen and the rest of the global electronic music community as clubs and festivals were shut down. Unable to tour, she conceived the hugely successful Balcony Streaming sessions, hosted from her home in Berlin. The livestreams allowed her to continue DJing and engaging with her fanbase, while also supporting music from a wide range of artists, new and old. During this time, she channeled her curatorial experience into an expansive three-part (expanded to six in 2023) compilation series. Named after her We Are Not Alone parties, the collection comprised tracks from artists that embody the ethos; club music with a rugged aesthetic and an unapologetic dancefloor focus. Volumes four-six were released together with a film and installation as AFTER DARK with Ellen’s longtime collaborator the director/photographer Stini Roehrs.AFTER DARK exhibition premiered at the Hamburger Bahnhof modern art museum in Berlin in July, with a new soundtrack by Ellen.Their RA profile lists fabric Records, Mute Records, Warp Records, Spectral Sound and 6 more.often with SUMME, ROBUS, OLHA, none of them here that night

Growing up as a first generation Syrian-born kid, the struggles of integrating into the Dutch society while balancing his Arabic heritage and burgeoning queerness proved to be a struggle - often finding himself in between worlds, caught amidst maintaining his inner pride and sense of self against a world that he strained to see himself in. Through the desire to find harmony within a lifetime of dissonance, Fafi found dance music in his young adulthood. While his connection to the music was powerful and provided a necessary level of personal reprieve, he soon realized there was a need for more participation from artists and DJs of color in the scene. Fafi’s queer clubnights at OOST in Groningen were born out of this resolve to create community empowerment for marginalized people to transcend beyond the oppressive dominant culture surrounding them. As a DJ, Fafi never fails to captivate dancers into a sense of timelessness & otherworldly joy. His sets distill the liberatory kinetics of house music down to its very essence, embodying an era of music unaffected by genre-constraints or rules. Dissolving boundaries between sound, movement and being, dancers can expect everything from spellbinding melodic passages, house-inflected body music and enchanted breakbeats melded into flourishes of ecstatic sensation. Oscillating between jubilance and insight with a distinctive sense of narrative and technical finesse, Fafi’s selections expand the universe of mystic, passionate and evocative strains of house - tapping into the source of music’s fundamental ability to transform lives, through a deeply personal level of expression transmuted directly from his soul through the speakers. Always encouraging us to connect with one another and celebrate the myriad of differences we share in our world, Fafi’s vibration has radiated simply by embodying his truth and encouraging others to do the same for themselves. After years of deep digging and collecting music, HAMY stepped behind the decks in 2023, bringing a carefully shaped sound to the dance floor that connects timeless underground energy with contemporary club music. Growing up in Berlin with Vietnamese roots, her musical perspective was shaped early on by the city’s club culture and diverse influences. Shaped by years of collecting since 2012, her approach draws strongly from Berlin’s techno sound while continuously developing through new music and ideas. Moving between trippy, rolling and bouncy techno and increasingly house-driven rhythms, her selections focus on progression and contrast, creating space for tension, release and musical storytelling without relying on fixed categories. On the dance floor, HAMY carefully builds momentum, guiding the crowd through unexpected shifts in sound and mood. Her ability to shape coherent yet surprising sets has quickly earned her trust and a growing following, leading to performances at venues such as Tresor, RSO, PAL (now NTSC), OXI, Watergate, Rote Sonne and PAN. In 2025, she brought her sound to Asia with a tour including Tokyo, Shanghai, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Bali and Bangkok, while also playing internationally in cities such as Barcelona, Manchester and across Italy. In January 2025, HAMY released her debut track “Chim Lac Dan, Garuda!” on A7A with close collaborator ENNIO. Released around Lunar New Year, the track reflects her cultural background while merging contemporary club energy with personal and emotional layers. Beyond DJing, HAMY works across music, visual culture and curation. Originally trained as a graphic designer, her interdisciplinary practice connects sound, art direction and community-building. In early 2025, she curated her own edition of Tresor’s New Faces series and is a resident at the Berlin-based label TILT. “ENNIO is a Berlin-based artist who operates at the edges of genre and identity.”
their own biography
the whole biography
ENNIO is a Berlin-based artist who operates at the edges of genre and identity. Raised in Germany with Asian and Slavic roots, he developed his sound outside fixed roles and definitions. His music comes from that in-between space where identity is shaped by experience rather than tradition. Raw, rhythmic and built to move, with a signature bounce that needs no explanation. His breakout EP »Scacotteter« (TILT) introduced him as a distinctive voice in the global club landscape. Its standout track, »Gunung Padang«, merges Indonesian influences with Slavic vocal cuts and helped the release gain wide recognition among some of the scene’s most influential selectors. His follow-up single »Don’t Stop (Gimme More)« expanded that energy even further — playful and unapologetic, built around a cheeky vocal hook and the distinctive ENNIO bounce that became a crowd favourite. 2024 saw him contribute »Blok M« to A7A Records’ Lunar New Year Compilation, a project celebrating artists from across the Asian diaspora. That same year, »Bloody Beetroots« (TILT) arrived — driving yet fluid, a gritty track built for peak-time energy. 2025 began with »Chim Lạc Dan, Garuda!«, a collaboration with close friend and TILT ally HAMY, on A7A’s Year of the Snake edition. The track channels their Vietnamese and Indonesian backgrounds into a statement of visibility for Asian voices within club culture. Around the same time, he brought his sound to Berlin Fashion Week, teaming up with Sia Arnika and Lou De Bétoly. He was recently named “Artists Exciting Us In 2025” by Mixmag Asia. Beyond the studio, he is part of TILT, and co-founded his new platform BUTO BAYANG with HAMY in late 2025. The platform was featured in Mixmag Netherlands and Mixmag Germany, which explored the concept behind BUTO BAYANG and its vision for the future. In addition to hosting their club nights in Bali and Berlin, the platform curated a compilation bringing together artists from across Asia and the Asian diaspora worldwide, including his own track "Crave U". His DJ sets? Unpredictable, playful, and deeply instinctual. Like his identity, they resist singular narratives, drawing from a wide range of influences and ideas, yet always forming something distinctly his own. Blurring lines between genres and creating unexpected shifts in mood and intensity, he is known to enter into an almost symbiotic relationship with his crowd. From Säule (Berghain) and Radion to Faust, FVTVR, RSO, Macadam, and events such as Herrensauna and Musa, ENNIO’s sound continues to resonate across some of the world’s most forward-thinking club spaces.Their RA profile lists Defected Records, Patron Records, A7A and TILT.often with Laure Croft, Karina Schneider, BUTZ, none of them here that night

Certifiably one of the most revered underground DJs of the Netherlands, Job Veerman, better known as Identified Patient, has made a name for himself as an otherworldly storyteller. His leftfield mixes take the listener on a white-knuckle ride of twists and turns, with no genre, tempo, or mood off-limits. The Amsterdam-based artist made his ascension with some of Rotterdam’s finest imprints, all the while filling dance floors across the country and throughout Europe. His style fuses raw aesthetics with unrivaled, relentless energy which he translates into his productions as fluidly as his DJ sets. With a trademark sound that drifts between the experimental sides of techno, electro, acid, dub, and jungle, it was not long before his music gained the attention of Rotterdam-based labels. Hitting Common Thread in 2016 with The Female Medical College of Pennsylvania and then Pinkman in 2017 with a string of releases, and later releasing his Split EP on London’s Brokntoys. These outlets would become the platforms for his early releases which were recognized as instant hits in several charts and clubs throughout Europe and beyond. In 2020 he released his Nerve Deposit EP as part of Dekmantel’s UFO Series. This year he will return to Dekmantel’s imprint, this time with his debut album. Not only this, but he is busy collaborating with Gamma Intel on an EP, also due to hit the airwaves this year. Besides his sensually severe, irreverent productions, Identified Patient has put himself on the map with his high-energy DJ sets, brimming with tension that spills over into eclectic and diverse styles. Despite his rapid transitions his focus never diverges from the quality of his selections. He has become a vital presence at Dekmantel events and was a regular at the Amsterdam institution, De School, firmly asserting his place in the Dutch electronic scene. Time has passed since Kristian Bahoudian, known artistically as Kris Baha - the Australian born, multi-disciplinary queer artist of Egyptian-Armenian and Italian descent - swapped the parched red earth and searing midday sun of the Australian landscape for the brutalist buildings, communist-era apartment blocks, and slate-grey skies of Berlin. Now firmly embedded in his adopted city, Baha has become known for a mutant trademark production style inspired by sunbaked hallucinatory visions of the past-future, clandestine, concrete-clad industrial hum of the metropolis after dark. Kris is a fixture in Berlin’s industrial/ EBM, electronic punk/ techno club scene, playing at notable parties and venues such as Cocktail D’Amore, Tresor, Panorama Bar and RSO. His DJ sets dive deep into a realm of otherworldly machine music driven by emotion, mood, and energy. Baha also runs his own event series called ‘Wired’, which focuses on the immersive experience of live performances and DJ sets in the dark electronic sphere. The same ethos is applied to his performance-based live shows, initially inspired by his love for industrial and electronic punk artists like DAF, Front 242, Severed Heads, Hard Corps, Nine Inch Nails, The Prodigy, New Order, Skinny Puppy, and Depeche Mode—artists with some of whom Kris has had the privilege of opening and sharing festival bills with. Kris’s touring career is as extensive as his discography with releases & appearances on labels like Pinkman, She Lost Kontrol, Cocktail D’Amore, BoysNoize, Zone, Fleisch, X-IMG, Artoffact, BMG UK. His performances and music have also aired on BBC6 - UK, KEXP - USA, NTS, Rinse FM, Boiler Room, Arte.TV & documentary coming in September 2024 titled ‘Electronic Body Movie’, with his influence extending beyond the streaming ether, resonating through clubs and festivals worldwide. Baha has toured globally, supporting acts on tour like Boys Noize, Boy Harsher, and Drab Majesty, and has headlined numerous dance and live music events across continents. Kris just wrapped up a live European tour in June 2024 and will continue touring South America, Asia, and the USA for the remainder of the year, headlining notable festivals in the US such as Substance Festival, Sanctum, and Freak Out Festival. When not channeling the musical spirits to inspire dancers, Baha can be found lurking in the shadows of his studio space as a prolific producer and remixer. There, he performs remix duties for celebrated artists and bands such as Boy Harsher, Boys Noize, Qual (Lebanon Hanover), Ultra Sunn, Kontravoid, Hercules & Love Affair, Red Axes, and many more. There has also been a notable collaboration with fellow Aussie Dreems as 'Die Orangen', as well as various projects launched over the years with his latest in 2023 being 'Ghosts In The Machine', a future sci-fi concept moniker based around a story written by Kris that delves into the perils of artificial intelligence and humanity. The self-titled album was released on Zanias’ imprint Fleisch Records, home to releases from Schwefelgelb, Kontravoid, Fractions, Linea Aspera, and many other seminal artists. Yet, it’s his own skewed, mutant productions for which Baha is undoubtedly best known for, seamlessly blending techno, electro, breaks, trance-induced psychedelia, and inhabiting their own sound space between the late 90's and early 2000's. In 2024, Kris returned to the dance floors with ‘Cyber Body Music v1’ released on Kindcrime, poised as a new music genre he created using the EP title that takes futuristic parts of techno, EBM, electro, drum & bass, trance and smashes them together in a hadron collider, racing from speeds of 125-150 bpm and discovering a new sonic territory for Kris. Kris backed up this release in June 2024 with a 4-track summer-ready dance floor smasher called ‘Breathe’ that was released on his label, Power Station. Later that year Kris was featured in a documentary about the EBM genre called 'Electronic Body Movie' and is the only known movie about it and it's revival which he participated in in 2015-2023. In 2025 Kris continued the cyber theme in a different lens - a nod to the Hackers movie in 1994 , Kris released Livewire which signals his musical shift from darker sounds to brighter, hybrid mutant dance songs and productions. In a way, Kris’s discography has been a testament to his ability to redefine the boundaries of his own craft that are not just heard but felt. Perhaps this is why Kris’s music has been championed by some of the world's most in-demand artists like Boys Noize with regular play on the latest Nine Inch Nails tour across arena's. Kris's unique ability to blend the lines of artistry, crossing over to different musical factions either on the dancefloor or in live music to create something new with each release is why he has built a loyal fanbase of followers over the last 13 years from Australia, to Berlin, and beyond.Their RA profile lists Boysnoize Records, Cocktail D'Amore, Emotional Response, Pinkman and 6 more.often with Berlin Bunny, Zanias, Eyesdice, none of them here that night

His vast musical output spans many different worlds – some real, some imagined - and does so in a unique and captivating fashion that keeps listeners enthralled. Since first emerging in the early nineties as a key part of the Dutch West Coast scene and Bunker family, he has become a core member of that crew who takes inspiration from Detroit and Chicago pioneers but also fantasy films and sci-fi culture, and is nowadays a modern day techno pin-up in his own rite. “keeps him open-minded as both, dj and producer.”

keeps him open-minded as both, dj and producer. His sound is constantly evolving without ever losing its vibrant, unique energy and the passion and heart he puts into his sets. His gigs are an audio-visual adventure where he is not only playing for the crowd but rather performing for and with them. Even before his move to Berlin in 2003, Len Faki had the experience of managing two highly acclaimed techno labels, Monoid and Feis. These early years of fruitful productivity provided the necessary groundwork for the next big steps in his career. Upon his arrival in Berlin, it didn´t take long until he became a resident-DJ in the newly opened Berghain - a match made in techno heaven and a monthly experience he wouldn´t want to miss for anything. The characteristic extra long DJ-sets in his "living room" inspire him to vary in tone and fully roll out his style to explore and further deepen his mastery of turning a DJ-set into a bona fide musical journey. In 2003 he founded his own label Figure as a new platform to play out his eclectic and open-minded vision of techno music. At first an outlet for his own productions, Figure developed into a well recognized, highly acclaimed label, releasing household names like Jeroen Search as well as upcoming producers like Cleric, Roman Poncet and Regal. To support and believe in the success of upcoming artists was and always will be a matter close to Len’s heart and so the label is constantly scouting for fresh talent to develop and produce. Closing in on it's 100th release, Figure is setting a new standard for techno music that is equal parts versatile, exciting and cutting-edge. In 2006 Len founded the new label Podium with the intention to produce a short running series of EPs, featuring exclusive tracks from colleagues and friends alongside his own creations. From its initial release Podium found a sizeable fan base and has since gained cult status within the techno fraternity. One year later, in 2007 he released the double A-side "Rainbow Delta/ Mekong Delta" on Ostgut Ton, which became one of the biggest anthems of the year and an instant techno classic, heavily supported by techno’s top DJs. The success and popularity of Mekong Delta brought a wave of attention to Faki, who answered with numerous, extremely successful follow-up tracks like "My Black Sheep“ or „Odyssee II", which turned into massive club hits in 2007 and 2008, as well as "Death By House" for Sven Väth’s Cocoon label, a track, that ruled that year’s summer festivals and Ibiza's annual debauchery. Thanks to his passionate performances, he got constant, top-notch rankings in a variety of popular music magazines. In Groove magazine's reader poll at the end of 2007 he was voted to the top position in three categories like "Best Track" and "Best Producer" - a tremendous honor and triple status that no one had ever achieved before him. Never one to rest on his laurels, Len´s love for the infinite variety of electronic music resulted in founding figure spc in 2009. An authentic label, releasing techno music in all its facets, open minded and unconditional in its passion. Just like Podium before it, figure spc quickly found a huge fan base, who appreciate the label’s tidbits each time. In spring 2009, another milestone in Len’s career was passed with the release of "Berghain 03" on Ostgut Ton, Len Faki’s first commercial mix-CD. Accompanied by two 12 inches with exclusive tracks from fellow producers like Radio Slave and Len himself, "Berghain 03" further reinforced his status as one of the most innovative and versatile techno DJs in the business who pairs a deep understanding of balancing stripped-down funkiness and modern techno sensibilities. Since then Len has found more and more pleasure in editing tracks for his DJ- sets to create his own musical universe and further develop his unique sound on stage. Len Faki’s bone-dry but communicative execution style sets him apart as a true gentleman behind the turntables, an artist whose sets are based on raw passion and beauty, who uses his fingertips like sensors on a Richter scale, gauging, anticipating as well as triggering eruptions on the dance floor...Their RA profile lists Cocoon Recordings, Ostgut Ton, Ibadan Records, Drumcode and 6 more.often with Hervé, Volvox, ROBUS, none of them here that night

the whole biography
Spekki Webu was born into contrast, half Afro-American, half German, raised in the Netherlands and shaped by a history of black music. Long before he became the artist he is today, he was already listening deeply. Exploring scenes. Observing people. Absorbing stories. What started as curiosity turned into devotion, not to genres, but to a psychedelic stream of sound that refuses to be boxed. Moving through the formative underground of hardcore and freeparty culture, Spekki embraced experimentation from an early age. Making music and playing records were never career moves, but natural extensions of his lifelong observation practice. He didn’t chase styles; he time-traveled through them. Carrying forward what mattered, leaving behind what didn’t. Music became a lifestyle. Freedom became method. Both on and off stage, Spekki is known for his explosive energy and direct presence, yet beneath it lives a profound sensitivity for community and spirituality. Through his Mirror Zone label, he welcomes talented outliers into a space where differences can exist and sound has many colors. As he often states, “Mirror Zone is a mirror of life,” reflecting the introspective vision behind his label and audiovisual projects such as Signal Transmutations. Today, Spekki operates at the forefront of the global electronic music scene while remaining grounded in the same values that shaped him decades ago: autonomy and creative freedom. “Don’t let yourself be fooled into thinking you belong in one place. Thabo, a stalwart of Berlin's underground circuit, has steadily ascended to a revered status as a promoter, accomplished DJ, and prolific producer in recent years. A true Berliner, he's synonymous with the soulful yet infectious strains of house that he passionately champions both behind the decks and in the studio. Thabo's roots lie in the sounds of hip hop and dancehall, a facet of his musical upbringing that continues to permeate his productions with a distinct flavor. His voyage into electronic music, circa the early 2000s, saw the German artist plunge headfirst into the city's pulsating dance music milieu. Before long, he was orchestrating his inaugural raves at esteemed Berlin venues like Cookies and Tape Club. After years dedicated to honing his craft and finding his groove, Thabo's DJ career took off, earning him slots at nearly every renowned Berlin club and eventually expanding his reach to international stages. Beyond his prowess behind the turntables, Thabo is a prolific studio wizard. Formerly operating under a different alias, he garnered accolades from heavyweights in the industry, including the likes of Carl Craig, Laurent Garnier, Cinthie, LTJ Bukem, and Jovonn. However, Thabo was always destined for more, driven by the vision of curating his own musical odyssey. In 2016, he unveiled "home again," an embodiment of a decade's worth of promoter experience crystallized into the quintessential house party. Featuring an eclectic roster of over 200 artists such as Gabrielle Kwarteng, Satoshi Tomiie, Leon Vynehall, Apollonia, and Palms Trax, this concept transcended mere party status, evolving into a multifaceted platform. It now encompasses a record label, fashion outlet, festival, and a dynamic creative hub dedicated to the house music community. Thabo's residencies at HÖR and Refuge Worldwide, along with his exclusive mix series on Apple Music, have cemented his role as a torchbearer of the Berlin 'House' sound. With an exciting array of releases on the horizon, Thabo remains steadfast in his mission to keep dance floors pulsating with his uplifting house sounds for years to come, solidifying his position as an indispensable figure within Berlin's electronic music landscape.Their RA profile lists Lobster Theremin, Heisenberg, Curtea Veche, Dansu Discs and 1 more.often with Butterhands, hawi, Andra (DE), none of them here that night
