Few people are as involved in their scene as Alva. She is not only committed fully to the music, but also fights the good fight for the preservation of these essential spaces, keeping clubs open and rents affordable, keeping minds open and extremists out. Her fast-paced style featuring a diverse sound palette is the perfect soundtrack for the demonstrations she often performs at, like the 1st of May demonstration in Berlin or the “Wem gehört die Stadt”-parade. Her sets consist of well-thought-out build ups and quick transitions, executed with almost surgical precision. This passion and dedication caught the eye of many party collectives and in 2018 Alva joined the infamous ISMUS collective, known for hosting some of the most intense and extended parties in the capital. Her name is a common sight on line-ups in Berlin and beyond, be it at the underground queer club nights Mala Junta in Berlin or Endurance in Copenhagen. She has played every major club in Berlin including the Säule at Berghain and also boasts impressive booking outside of her hometown such as FOLD (UK), Flashback (HUN), Schron (PL) or Das Werk (AT). Relentless and sublime techno with a rhythm that is clinical and deep. Charlie. describes her techno as “deep, elegant, ethereal” Grew up in Beirut and now calling Berlin home, her musical journey is an odyssey that began just a few years ago with her first gig ever at Kater Blau and has rapidly become a force to be reckoned with in the techno music scene. Her formative years saw Charlie. immersing herself in the vinyl archives of niche underground 90s producers, a defining exploration that laid the groundwork for her distinctive musical identity. This journey that started with being a sonic seeker led her to Berlin, where she embraced the intricate sound of the more puristic techno. Charlie.’s first foray into the scene took place at the raves in the deep valleys of Lebanon and warehouses on the outskirts of Paris. Since then she has played in multiple venues such as Tresor, Radion, Renate, C12, FVTVR and more. Rovin is a Munich-born, Berlin-based techno DJ, producer, and promoter. His passion for fast, driving kick drums was sparked about ten years ago in iconic clubs like “Rote Sonne” and “MMA.” Rovin has now been in Berlin for nearly a decade, where he has refined and evolved his unique DJ style. For Rovin, DJing is a meditative state in which he invites the crowd to transcend time and reality with him. His sets aim to illustrate his personal view of techno, which at its core, is always minimalistic, percussive, and influenced by 90s and 00s styles. Rovin is dedicated to achieving the highest quality in all aspects of his artistry, whether it’s his DJ sets, productions, or other creative projects. With countless hours spent in his studio, he gives equal focus to jamming, sound design, and mixing. Driven by his passion, he launched his event series (Inline) in September 2023, where he organizes shows, curates a monthly mix series, and offers a platform for like-minded artists. In his words, Inline is more than just an electronic music party; it’s a testament to his dedication to equality in the electronic music scene, emphasizing a gender-balanced selection of artists and challenging the sexism still present today. After studying at 343 Labs and being part of their team, he now enters the next chapter of his creative journey.
