Ani Phoebe has transformed the musical landscape in Hong Kong with the balearic and outsider digger musical direction of her party Bad Times Disco, and also tours regularly as a multifaceted vinyl-focused DJ. With roots in Rio de Janeiro and Hong Kong, this HK-based Chinese American DJ and promoter brings a global, modern edge to every set. She’s toured Asia, Australia, Brazil, Europe, and the US, building deep relationships and focusing on quality above quantity at community-oriented parties and festivals like Camp Cosmic, Transport, RomRom, Proto Exotica, SPASTA, and more. In 2024, she made her debut at Wonderfruit Festival and Magnetic Fields Festival, cementing herself as a key figure in Asia. Expect diverse sets from this versatile DJ. Depending on the vibe and the city, she’ll take you from high-energy Latin house and uptempo dance, to laid-back Balearic vibes, and dive deep into cosmic, dubby, wrong-speeding selections. Percussive, eclectic, and unexpected, Ani Phoebe’s taste is singular and speaks volumes for itself. Ani has forged dancefloors with important community values, running mutual aid fundraisers and solidarity campaigns, and created a strong global network of leftfield alternative parties and festivals promoting underknown music and important social messages. This DJ, promoter, and organizer is a natural born communicator, sharing important stories of music history and leftist organizing wherever she travels.often with Vio PRG, kuya, Dangerous Dave, none of them here that night
