Barbara Preisinger first began dj-ing in 1996 in her hometown of Munich and was playing regularly at the the green flokati room of the "ultraschall" club. in the Summer of 1998 Barbara left Munich for Berlin, where she started working as a freelance press and radio promoter for electronic music. In the years that followed she represented various labels and acts from the experimental music scene, ranging from straight clubsounds to electronic pop and indie-electronia. 1999 saw her co-found the label ˜scape, together with Stefan Betke aka Pole, creating an open platform for the productions of Kit Clayton, Jan Jelinek, Deadbeat, Pole amongst many others. Before long she was a resident dj at regular scape nights in berlin and other locations within europe, japan and also further afield in north america. Over the years her musical preferences as dj have changed and developed continuously to House and Techno. Her passion is to play for the dancefloor, mixing kicking house and deep techno, all the while remaining open towards interesting and outstanding tunes that makes you move. And she has been doing exactly that at many a prestigious location around the globe including festivals as Sonar, Benicassim, DEMF, Club Transmediale Berlin, Mutek, Unsound Festival .....to mention but a few. Autumn 2009 Barbara Preisinger founded the 12inch vinyl label SLICES OF LIFE which is focused on organic sounding and diverse club music, with releases by Betke, Mike Huckaby, Baaz, John Tejada, The Mole, Dana Ruh, Losoul, Alexander Skancke,... The label´s founding year also marked the beginning of the event series DEEP IN THE BOX with regular parties at Berlin´s Club der Visionäre, Wilde Renate, Ipse among other places. Labelled by Resident Advisor as “one of the classiest and grooviest house DJs out there,'' Dana Ruh is a musician who lives and breathes music like few others. Thoroughly obsessed by the complexities of sound, she’s as renowned for his wizardry behind the decks as she is her label, Brouqade — as well as her role at fledgling Berlin music space, KMA60. A native of Gera, Ruh has been firmly settled in Berlin for over a decade now, with Germany’s capital continuing to play a profound effect on her unique way of working. An impressively multifaceted musician, Ruh’s early sound was often characterised by its subtle, minimal tropes, although these days she’s equally as likely to champion classy, up-tempo house as she is a tougher, more peak-time techno vibe. It’s a way of working that means she’s equally comfortable throwing it down in Romania as she Ibiza or at her summer residency at Berlin’s Club der Visionare. A master of the subtle groove, Ruh’s work continues to draw praise from electronic music’s most respected names, with her highly-regarded debut LP, Naturally, released via Jus Ed’s Underground Quality. Added to this, further celebrated releases have arrived recently via equally discerning outposts such as Slices of Life, Cave Records and Autoreply. Closer to home, Ruh continues to rep her Brouqade imprint with distinction. Conceived in 2007, the label is now firmly established one that’s equally likely to push forward-thinking up-and-coming artists and established names alike. Never one to sit still, Ruh’s most recent endeavour is KMA60, a collaborative affair alongside Jamie Fry. Located in Berlin’s Neukölln, KMA60 encompasses a record shop, a studio space, as well an in-house label, KMA60 Rezpektiva. Born in Madrid, Ana Z immersed herself in the electronic music scene by frequenting the city’s most iconic DJ booths. However, it was in Berlin, the cradle of Techno, where she truly consolidated her career after moving there in 2012. Absorbing the city's rebellious and creative energy, she refined her sound and established herself within its underground scene. As a resident at Tresor, Dinamite has become a key figure in the club’s legacy. For years, she has curated the New Faces series, a platform dedicated to emerging talents from around the world, reinforcing the ever-evolving Techno community. Her dynamic and intense sets, fueled by sustained energy and a deep sense of exploration, have led her to perform in many of Europe’s most influential underground clubs. In the studio, she crafts unique sonic landscapes, blending dark, immersive, powerful, and organic sounds with saturated textures.
