Maque is a multidisciplinary artist who believes in the transformative power of pleasure. Her music and DJ sets are a ride for pleasure and perreo, for dancing pegadito and transforming rage into sweat, joy and sexiness. Born and raised in Bolivia, she started blending cumbia, reggaeton and traditional bolivian music sounds into her choreographic performances, to then start rapping, DJ-ing and producing music. Weaving different genres with a strong bass and dembow, her sound is a hypnotizing pelvic/culo summoning. She played at platforms such as Hoe_mies x Keephush, Listen to Berlin Awards, Metarave, Refuge Worldwide, Kiosk Radio, a.o. Her videoclip C4R4COL, which she directed, was part of the Berlin Video Music Awards 2024. In 2023, Maque co-founded CHOKA together with auto_timer. CHOKA is a party and a platform that aims to amplify sounds from the global south. They received support from Music Board Berlin through their Residency program in Hellerau and recently dropped the party itself. Her EP “Baba” produced with auto_timer and Lisa Kida, is expected to be dropped in January 2025.Their RA profile lists Lustpoderosa.Last at ÆDEN in Aug · often with auto_timer, DJ LOUI FROM JUPITER4, Gadutra, none of them here that night

His two EPs, 2015’s Aequs Nyama (Salviatek) and 2018’s Testigo (NAAFI), garnered support from Pitchfork, The Guardian, Resident Advisor, FACT Magazine , Björk, Kode 9 and more. Since then, Zafiro has collaborated with Matmos and Linn da Quebrada, and has remixed for artists on SVBKVLT and TraTraTrax. He has extensively explored in the area of field recording and sound design, working for Splice, Mubert and artist Catarina Miranda to create sample packs and soundtracks based on his own recordings of objects, animals and natural soundscapes. Zafiro is a skillful DJ with a playful disregard for genre consistency. He’s made mixes for platforms like NTS, Mutek, i-D and Noisey, has toured as a DJ throughout Asia, Europe, South and North America and has played in festivals like Sonar, Unsound, Primavera Sound. Lechuga is currently hosting a radio show in NTS 1 focused on Latin American dance music and field recording experiments. His upcoming album Desde los oídos de un sapo (TraTraTrax) has already received positive reviews from specialized press. “It’s sorta the club music equivalent of poetry, a music that focuses on suggestion and detail, rather than overall narrative” Colin Joyce “Uruguay’s Lechuga Zafiro has become a relentless force for South American music in recent years. He has taken regional sounds of the continent to the global stage.” Tayyab Amin,The Guardian Text by Nina PosnerTheir RA profile lists Naafi and TraTraTrax.Last at Berghain in Aug · often with upsammy, Gavsborg, livwutang, none of them here that night
