Driven by a post-genre sensibility, his shapeshifting musical output bends tension, texture and groove through leftfield optics, playfully weaving his Latin heritage with elements of soundsystem culture into abstract, whimsical and kaleidoscopic club music. Holding a frequent presence on underground airwaves, he has racked up appearances on Shella Radio, Radio Tempo Não Pára, Radio Radio FM, East Side Radio, Clyde Built Radio and Radio Buena Vida. On home turf, he hosts Uneven Oscillation at Refuge Worldwide, a show that knits together the narrative threads of Música Popular Brasileira from the 70s to the present, tracing tonal and sentimental parallels with adjacent sounds spanning post-bop jazz, progressive folk rock and experimental electronic music. As an independent promoter, he curates events where community takes center stage, showcasing emerging local talents alongside established names of the underground such as Appleblim, Dangermami, Chediak, DJ Plead and ophélie. Founder of Berlin based crew Femme Bass Mafia - Dangermami is a pivotal part of Berlin’s new generation of artists and crews, helping shape the rising selectors of the city's bass scene and catering to her community of femme DJs. As both a DJ and producer, she is known for her love of extensive 140-170 mixing explorations, elevating energies with her trippy sounds & rhythmic twists in every set, playfully fusing classic UK sounds to modern bass music, blending dubstep, drum and bass, or footwork. The past years have seen the bass angel go global, blessing booths across the world from Europe to Asia, freshly coming off the back of an India tour. ophélie is a French, Berlin-based DJ and producer with an affinity for low frequencies, intricate percussions and bass-heavy music in all its forms. As an early lover of dub music, UK techno, IDM, and illegal raves, their sound often finds itself at the intersection between dubstep, techno, IDM, with hints of psychedelic music and trance. They are interested in the fluid, organic, and often melancholic aspect of music, achieved through combining multiple layers of sounds, creating weird (poly)rhythms, and drawing inspiration from natural landscapes, such as the forest and ocean. As a producer, they enjoy experimenting with FX, textures, granular and generative sounds, and all different kinds of percussions. They released tracks on Pressure Dome, Bait, Early Reflex and traverse and have released their debut EP on hundert Records in February 2024. ophélie’s Refuge Worldwide residency, Therapy Dog, and event series at Kwia, allow her to experiment and explore the different genres she’s into, while often sharing the decks with friends and like-minded artists.
