There are those people who are naturally destined to change things, to question things, to push things forward. Dirty (Velten) Doering is such a person. He has a certain. A natural visionary with an uncanny knack for knowing what makes people tick, he’s not just a DJ; he’s an icon, an entrepreneur, and a cornerstone of Berlin’s legendary electronic music scene. Say “Bar 25” or “Katermukke” anywhere in the world, and you’ll summon a knowing smile from ravers who’ve danced their nights away to his unmistakable beats. Born in Leipzig and raised in Baden-Baden, Velten spun his first records at just years old. By 21, he had moved to Berlin, where his journey as Dirty Doering truly began. Starting out at Sternradio and hosting after-hours that became the stuff of legend, his reputation grew rapidly, eventually crossing national borders with the release of his hit track I Would in 2010. But it was his role at the iconic Bar 25 that solidified his place as the beating heart of Berlin’s underground scene. From trac like Casino Aquatique to Cape of Good Hope and Emma Wong, Dirty Doering carried the pulse of the Spree river to the farthest reaches of the techno world. In 2011, alongside Sascha Cawa, he launched Katermukke, a label that quickly became a global sensation. Festivals, clubs, and showcases across every continent followed. Everyone wanted a piece of Katermukke, and everyone wanted Dirty Doering. Katermukke is more than just another imprint; it is a sonic journey, an ever-evolving story that unfolds with every release, and a testament to the restless spirit of musical innovation. Within its embrace, Katermukke amalgamates a broad gamut of electronic genres, from the narcotic allure of melodic house to the pounding heartbeats of techno, from the ethereal landscapes of electronica to the infectious rhythms of indie dance, and beyond. OX OX OX Since 2012, he’s made it a tradition to escape Berlin’s icy winters for a few months in sunny Cape Town. But true to form, he doesn’t just vacation. He plugs himself into the local scene, playing at the hottest festivals and raves while effortlessly bringing together also south african artists and creators for collaborative projects that amplify their talent. Dirty Doering is a character artist by the book. His sound is as succinct as the loud laughter and as surprising as the knee-high white energy socks that he likes to wear behind the booth. He is undoubtedly a sommelier of electronic music and, depending on the setting and set, sounds so deep, so driving, so groovy, and like 80s synths - but always extremely enchanting and when Dirty plays, it seems as if the dancers leave space and time and are Lost in music. His music catalog is as bold and varied as his DJ sets. From deep, immersive grooves to tracks that are weirdly enchanting or razor-sharp, Dirty and Katermukke refuse to be pigeonholed. Their mission is clear: keep moving forward, shatter the mundane, and chase the euphoric feeling where the beat reigns supreme and the worries of tomorrow are left behind. In 2018, his album Euch die Uhren, uns die Zeit captured that ethos perfectly, pulling listeners into its gravitational pull. Now, his latest project, Last Exit Space, released in March 2023 with longtime collaborator Niconé, promises to take the journey even further into the cosmos Now, 2025 promises to be a landmark year for Dirty Doering. Together with Niconé, he’s set to release their first single with XTZ – an exciting teaser for their upcomi album, slated for early 2025. The list of Katermukke releases is longer and top-class than ever. And besides the album, the world will hear a lot from the label boss himself. Good! We celebrate this man and his music from the first bar to the last beat. We celebrate dirty - WE LIKE DIRTY! Daniel Neuland, born in 1988, is a German music producer and DJ from Berlin. He has been releasing music since 2004 and has been performing on stages big and small around the world ever since. First it was the stages of the local and national hip hop scene, then for a whole decade the international dubstep stages. In 2019, Daniel Neuland fell for Berlin's techno hype and has been producing and performing under his own name ever since. His sound can be located somewhere between indie dance and tech house, whereby he always incorporates his musical roots from hip hop and dubstep into his productions. This mixture has enabled him to prove himself as an innovative creative mind within the techno scene. As co-founder of his own label, 44 Hertz, "Neuli" has been releasing his songs by himself since 2023. In the same year, the event series of the same name found its home in the infamous Kater Blau and has radiated far beyond the capital. At the end of 2024, the single "Alle Warten" is released together with Sahra Bass on Tipping Point. The song reaches number 2 in the Beatport Indie Dance Charts and does not leave the Top 100 for another 4 months. This catapults Daniel Neuland into the Top 50 Indie Dance annual artist charts on Beatport. "Neuli" can be heard regularly in Berlin clubs such as Kater Blau, Sisyphos, KitKat and Ritter Butzke, but he is also a regular guest outside the city and beyond the country's borders. He has released on other well-known labels such as Heinz Music, Hollystone Records and SNOE and is celebrated for his playful productions and dedicated performances. Neuland is known for his passion for music and his ability to combine different styles of electronic music and create something new on the dancefloor.Their RA profile lists Cinematique, Jean Yann Records, SNOE, Heinz Music and 2 more.often with Martin Ka, vom Feisten, Naicet, none of them here that night
