“You need to make it more stupid” is the advice, given by label boss Untold, that set Randomer on his path. You wouldn’t know it from his productions, which foreground his instantly-recognizable sound signature and are built on a foundation of esoteric and surprising techniques. Over the last ten years, his works have become some of the most indispensable in modern dance music. Tricky earworms and a blighty dancefloor sensibility and are woven through with jarring sound design and an infectious sense of play. As a DJ, these qualities shine through: slick and supple builds give way to monstrous moments, with an unwavering command of the crowd.

“Lena Willikens doesn’t play the hits.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Lena Willikens doesn’t play the hits. When she’s behind the decks, even her biggest fans often have no idea exactly what she’s playing, and that’s part of the magic. Like all DJs, Willikens of course has a passion for records and is always on the hunt for elusive bits of music, but as an artist, her work doesn’t hinge on any one track, or even a handful of tracks. She’s after something bigger, something that’s truly transportive for those on the dancefloor, and the tracks she plays – whether they’re bizarre slices of synth exploration, some ominously churning proto-industrial stomp or something else that simply defies classification – are all parts of a larger, more psychically satisfying whole. Born and raised in Germany, Willikens first honed her unique approach during a long residency at Düsseldorf’s Salon des Amateurs, a much-loved nightspot that has proven to be a hotbed of free-thinking DJ talent. Outside of the club, she also found a platform on Radio Cómeme, where her Sentimental Flashback radio show allowed Willikens to dive deep into all sorts of unusual musical wormholes. (The Cómeme label was also home to her first EP, 2015's Phantom Delia.) These days, however, Willikens' radio adventures happen on NTS, where she pilots the monthly Lightning Conductor program. Now based in Amsterdam, her curatory prowess prompted an invite from Dekmantel to put together the fifth installment of their acclaimed Selectors compilation series, and she also contributed a track to the label’s run of all-star 10th anniversary EPs. As a remixer, she's been tapped in recent years to rework the likes of Lena Platonos, rRoxymore, S U R V I V E, Simian Mobile Disco and Ana Helder, amongst others. And amidst all this activity, she's also been busy with Phantom Kino Ballett, a collaboration with artist Sarah Szczesny that lands somewhere between immersive audio-visual experience and performance art, allowing Willikens to indulge her transportive impulses in a completely new way. Nevertheless, it’s in the DJ booth where Willikens continues to make the biggest impact. As of late, she’s forged a particularly potent partnership with fellow sonic explorer and Salon des Amateurs alum Vladimir Ivkovic, the two engaging in a sort of mind meld that brings together their shared love of electronic music’s darkest and most bizarre corners. Regardless of whether she’s playing alone or in tandem with someone else, Willikens isn’t the kind of artist who adheres to straight lines. Expect different temperatures, different moods and a dollop of chaos, just to keep things interesting. Circuitous paths take precedence over direct routes, and although not even Willikens herself always knows the final destination, when she’s at the helm, the journey is bound to be thrilling. Known as a techno producer who has her own unique and innovative sounds, Julia has most recently been featured on Bandcamp Daily as the best electronic music producer and in a glowing review in The New Yorker that called her talent "beguiling" and "rare" and that her music "fills the mind."  She is the founder and curator of the music record label JUJUKA, partner at Bar Laika by e-flux and Public Records resident. "She established a style that feels half Rome school, half Japanese hypnotic techno, but fully Julia Govor." Julia is enthusiastic and energetic with a charismatic fatal charm. Govor knows how to move, make others feel and engage. . She also is a consummate cat wrangler, experienced squirrel whisperer and can rock the hell out of a vintage ski suit.

Rosati is an Italian DJ and techno producer based in Amsterdam, known for a sound deeply rooted in early techno traditions and reshaped through a contemporary lens. “With an unparalleled presence, style, and demeanor in the underground, DJ, producer and label head Xiorro is renowned for igniting revelry.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
With an unparalleled presence, style, and demeanor in the underground, DJ, producer and label head Xiorro is renowned for igniting revelry. Having begun his artistry in 2017 in Brooklyn’s then-vibrant underground, Xiorro’s current status as a Berlin-based DJ is illuminated by his impactful run in Brooklyn with ALKHEMY & the beloved warehouse and off-site rave series, The Black Hole, which he both co-founded. Now a fixture in Berlin’s fervent club scene, Xiorro has transitioned seamlessly into a resident role at RSO where he frequents regularly, picking up where he left off at with his residency when the club was known as Griessmuehle and located in Neukölln. Fueled by a relentless and unyielding dedication to the craft, Xiorro has forged a style which blends endurance with mixing prowess and a meticulous selection. For a secret that almost feels like a clandestine, the dance floor needs not to worry when in the hands of Xiorro, as he has solidified himself as a trusted armament of RSO where he’s recognized for his extended sets during the club’s renown club night weekenders. His ability to play long sets and adapt to the style of the night elevates him to a league of his own. Whether guiding the audience through an intimate, incorporeal experience or powering the dance floor with moving fervency, Xiorro’s versatility and adaptability shines through as an exquisite fusion of artistic finesse together with his Puerto Rican heritage. Moreover, what distinguishes Xiorro apart from others is not only his self-taught musical ear for composing otherworldly vibrations but also his innate sense of drive and groove. The way that Xiorro understands how groovy rhythms succumb to the drive and revel in the intensity of the increased tempo, makes him a luminary leaving an indelible mark in the hearts of listeners. The inception of Xiorro’s Whirlwind Trax label in 2019 stands as an attestation to his commitment to interpreting techno through his own lenses. With releases that showcase both Xiorro’s own work as well as the work of label affiliates, Whirlwind Trax holds a catalogue of tracks that are sure to set a soundsystem ablaze. In tandem with a mixture of a desire to create a memorable experience with an affinity for the sheer excitement of techno, Xiorro now works on the continuance of The Black Hole now evolving into the ULTRANOVA club night series at RSO in 2024. Creating a community for the outcast of the outcasts, Xiorro is now focused on cultivating his own community within the Berlin ecosystem through his newly inaugurated night.
Their RA profile lists Whirlwind Trax.
