BioN - A Journey in Berlin's Underground Music Scene Since his debut in Berlin's underground music scene in 2006, BioN has ascended as a tireless and influential DJ. His path is intricately intertwined with the legendary Club der Visionäre and the esteemed Hoppetosse family, where he has significantly contributed to shaping Berlin's musical landscape. His distinctive and effervescent musical style has exerted a profound influence on a diverse array of artists, including iconic luminaries such as Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder, Herbie Hancock, and Pino Daniele. This deep-rooted connection with musical legends has ignited BioN's pursuit of artistic expression through music, propelling him into an unceasing exploration of soundscapes that span the spectrum from Downtempo and Deep House to Dub Techno and Micro-House. His enduring mantra remains "Feel the Rhythm." In 2014, BioN, in collaboration with Francesco Passantino, undertook the curation of an extraordinarily successful line-up for the "Tuesday Sound Department" event at Hoppetosse. Their unwavering commitment to selecting top-tier artists transformed this event into a celebrated fixture on Berlin's Tuesday nights, attracting rave reviews and playing host to revered Club der Visionäre artists and international DJs. In 2015, BioN embarked on a new production duo project with another talented Italian artist based in Berlin, Francesco Passantino. This collaboration culminated in the release of their debut EP, "VISIOPAX," under the Roundeqube Musik label. The EP garnered recognition from industry connoisseurs and featured two exceptional remixes by TOM CLARK and GABRIELE CARASCO. The year 2019 marked a period of exponential and intense growth for BioN, thanks to his recurring "GEMiNii" events. These gatherings showcased renowned artists such as Denis Kaznacheev, Anton Kubikov, Alex Celler, Oskar Szafraniec, and Katie Drover, with BioN sharing the stage with legendary figures, including A GUY CALLED GERALD, Francesco Farfa, Dana Ruh, Cesar Merveille, Sepp, VincentIulian, and many others. In 2020, BioN introduced a new project: the GEMiNii Records label. With a roster of artists closely linked to Club der Visionäre, he continued his mission to foster and shape Berlin's underground music scene. In 2023, BioN rekindled his collaboration with Francesco Passantino, co-creating the "Starlight" event. Furthermore, he graced "Perfect Sundays" at Club Der Visionaere as a DJ in Francesco Passantino & Friends' "Ambient Journeys LIVE & DJ live set." BioN wove vinyl excerpts into the live set, creating unique and immersive musical experiences. BioN remains dedicated to enchanting audiences with his fresh and engaging music, steadfastly pursuing his mission to make everyone "Feel the Rhythm." His music embodies the heart and soul of Berlin, and his contributions to the city's underground music scene will leave an indelible mark on its history.
Their RA profile lists Round Qube Musik, GEMiNii Records and Helene Records.

“Italian DJ and producer based in Berlin, Francesco Hamsa has built his identity through a deep connection to underground electronic music and vinyl culture.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Italian DJ and producer based in Berlin, Francesco Hamsa has built his identity through a deep connection to underground electronic music and vinyl culture. Originally from Riccione in Italy, his passion for music started early through the study of piano and percussion, before discovering the world of electronic music at the legendary Cocoricò club back in early 2000. That experience sparked a lifelong dedication to club culture. Hamsa vision aims to preserve and create culture within the electronic music scene at a time when the underground spirit of clubbing is increasingly disappearing, emphasizing that music and music culture go beyond commercial value and are rooted in artistic expression and community. Since relocating to Berlin in 2012, Francesco has immersed himself in the city’s underground scene, where he began producing while also performing as a resident for REEF at Griessmuehle, Utopie, and More Now parties under a different alias. Strongly focused on vinyl and his sets are carefully crafted journeys where rhythm, atmosphere, and experimentation merge on the dancefloor. His productions, shaped by 90s aesthetics and early Italian progressive sounds, are defined by a persistent rhythmic drive, intricate and evolving sound design, and a strong sense of forward motion. Arrangement plays a central role in his work, with continuously developing structures that keep tension, movement, and emotion in constant interplay. He has released music on labels including Enchanted Rhythms, Ecke Records, and Nollern. In 2023, Hamsa co-founded Musek Records alongside Italian electronic pioneer Francesco Farfa and mix engineer Denio Barani. Since then, the label has hosted regular events at Club der Visionaere during the summer and Hoppetosse in winter, alongside Italian residencies in collaboration with Wax4Breakfast and Archivio 180. The label, now at its third release selling over 3,000 vinyl copies and establishing itself as a platform for forward-thinking electronic music and artistic freedom.
Their RA profile lists Nollern Records, Ecke Records and Musek.
