AgainstMe is a greek Berlin-based DJ, Producer and core member of USM Reccordings. The project “AgainstMe” came to life two years later after his first Rave / Techno parties in Lesvos, Greece. For him at that point, techno music was something completely new, uniting and revolutionary which was going against everything that he had experienced before. The distorted textures and the heavy drum patterns along with the ritualistic vibe of these parties made him immediately fall in love with everything around this sound and what it stands for. Since then, his music got released on different record labels around the world like Key Vinyl, Tar Hallow, Token Records, HAYES to name a few. He already enjoyed support from artists like Ben Klock, Dax J, DVS1, Rodhad, K-Hand, Mikael Delta, Richie Hawtin, Kanding Ray and many more. For him, the absolute goal of a DJ is to connect with the crowd and build a unique moment together. So his sound could be characterized as multidimensional, energetic and storytelling. He holds a residency at SMUT Athens and Closer Milano and some of the venues he performed at are Fuse Brussels, Saule, Tresor Berlin, RSO, FOLD to name a few. There is no filler story to his background. Hard digging for the best music, endless amount of hours honing and perfecting his technical ability. When on stage, Josh delivers the perfect blend of music to give the dance floor exactly what they need. Having spent the last 10 years building his music library in vinyl and digital formats. Constantly fine tuning his sound and broadening the palette from which he can work from for his DJ sets. Having built himself up primarily in Dublin, working with his own collective and playing regular raves and in iconic clubs such as The Twisted Pepper, The Grand Social and The Button Factory, then travelling further afield with various residencies and performances in different clubs and cities from Berlin to Auckland Josh delivers exactly what he promises without fail and constantly shows us that his work and research is always developing and evolving.
