A globetrotter at heart (originally from Sudan, raised in the UAE & lived in the US, Malaysia, Sweden & Germany), I've traveled the world pursuing the magical feeling only dancefloors can exude; a search that proved to me that regardless of where you are: genres don't matter. What matters is the feeling the music gives, the energy/soul you put into it & the space as a participant in the collective experience; be it as a dancer, dj or organiser. This heavily informs my taste and selections that I explore through my sets as well as the curation of the projects I organise: as a resident radio host at Berlin’s online radio station Refuge Worldwide, as a co-host of 'Endless Groove' (a non-profit Loft inspired community driven party based in Stockholm & Berlin), initiator of 'Black Is...' (gender-inclusive platform supporting BIPOC voices based in Berlin & Amsterdam) & founder of ‘Wild Combination’ (a Berlin multi collective showcase benefitting essential causes), as well as the curation of my bi-monthly VIBRATIO)))NS mix series.Last at 90mil in Aug · often with Ken Okuda, Afrodisiac, Sean Steinfeger, none of them here that night

Native to New York, musclecars is a DJ / Producer duo consisting of Brandon Weems and Craig Handfield. As musicians, they equally share an admiration for the art form. Their desire to blend genres and express their appreciation for music is focused around their community- the end goal is to bring people together. Through a regular stream of high quality mixes and multiple outstanding releases, they’re constantly turning heads in underground circles. In 2018 they launched ‘Coloring Lessons’, a party that was aimed to add value to their city’s nightlife culture. While the party and sound is not genre specific, it is heavily focused around house, disco, jazz, and soul, embracing the musical elements of their black and brown ancestors. The monthly party's intention is to bring New York City's dance music scene back to what it was during the golden era of NY nightlife. They aim to spread the music that has been influential to them, and share it with a younger generation of their peers. In 2020 the pair launched the label Coloring Lessons Records. The label, like the party, is intended on building up artists from their city and beyond, with the sound indicative of the Coloring Lessons ethos- which is sharing music created and inspired by their ancestors of color, and teaching younger generations about the roots of this music.House on 20, Deep House on 18, Broken Beat on 3 and Future Jazz on 3. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Brownswood Recordings (1), Love Injection Records (3) (1) and Luaka Bop (1); their RA profile also lists BBE and Toucan Sounds. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileoften with Toribio, Love Injection, Cameron Da Dj, none of them here that night

I started out in a bar called Drama in Kreuzberg, which has been an important hang out for the scene and one of the first bars ever to feature its own djs at the weekend. The Drama has been one of the few locations featuring house music, instead of techno dominating all the other clubs and bars at that time. I used to play a lot of soulful vocal house and quickly became a resident at Globus/Tresor, as well as at the gay Saturdays at Café Moskau. „My motivation is and has been a mixture of fun and communication. Verbally as well as non-verbally. I love to create and play with different moods and atmospheres. I’m still fascinated by the fact that music can release a huge amount of energy and how music creates fun, jollying anyone along without any reason or principle. Music and bass in particular can make people happy!“ Since 1997, when I have been a resident at Globus/Tresor, I gradually opened up stylistically and didn’t feel the need anymore to go along the lines of the techno and house division. Since 2001 I regularly played at the gay/lesbian „Dance with the Aliens“ parties at the old OstGut and consequently at the end of 2004 I became a resident at the new Panorama Bar / Berghain. In the meantime I developed a varied style ranging from new and classic House to Techno including a lot of Disco, Afrobeats..... It is fundamental to my work as a DJ that I manage to let the music, the crowd and myself run freely. I have to turn off my head and go with the flow. This always is the challenge and if it works it is big fun. The crowd and i have to get kind of cosy with each other. And if I manage to build my set up and down, to go to lots of different places, it is perfect!Their RA profile lists Rabid Records, Diamonds & Pearls, Ostgut Ton, Hotflush Recordings and 1 more.often with Berghain, Virginia, Fadi Mohem, none of them here that night
