Renowned for their work in edit culture and contributions to Footwork and Juke, DJ Paypal is a pivotal figure in electronic music. Their portfolio includes official remixes for many artists, among hundreds of bootleg remixes of music from many different realms, and many features across their collaborators’ albums and their own records, resonating globally and finding place in DJ sets worldwide. Their creative output extends across labels such as Teklife, Hyperdub, Planet Mu, and their own label Mall Music Inc. As the leader of Mall Music Inc., the label home to peers like DJ Orange Julius and DJ Mastercard, they've outlined a new take on footwork laden with lush synthesizers and hi-definition sonics, releasing EPs, singles and bootlegs. Paypal’s proper external debut EP, "Buy Now," released on Glasgow imprint LuckyMe, explores soul and disco influences, while the “Sold Out" double-EP on Flying Lotus’ LA-based Brainfeeder label stands as a testament to DJ Paypal's versatility at 160 BPM. 'Paypal’s hyperactive footwork thrives on slicing and dicing the beating heart of disco and boogie' — MIXMAG Since 2013, Paypal has toured clubs throughout the world, from Europe to Asia to America, and played several key events and festivals such as MoMA PS1, Low End Theory, Roskilde Festival, and Dour Festival. softchaos is the pseudonym of Tere Stout, the Ecuadorian-American dj, multidisciplinary artist, and dancefloor evangelist. Both thoughtful and commanding, softchaos’ sets are watermarked by their meticulous pairing of groove-driven music along with aggressive percussive tracks in unison, experimenting with genre meticulously in acts of black reclamation. Embracing this practice, their sound embodies reverence to techno while staying locked into the new turn in electronic music, blending with finesse. Their versatility is seen in the range of their schedule, from their one-of-a-kind sets at and Primavera Sound, Sónar Festival, Amsterdam Dance Event and CTM to club nights at RSO, Tresor, Fabric London, Nitsa and Razzmatazz. softchaos is undoubtedly at the forefront of playfully avant-garde and disobedient electronic music at home and international stages alike. Harnessing their punk ethos, and referencing classic landscapes of New York City and Detroit, their selection of techno, breaks, and rebellious sounds offer a transcontinental call and response and an offering to dancefloors everywhere.Recently at Giri, Tresor / Globus, MUENZE · often with Cora, ROBUS, Coco Calypso, none of them here that night
