Niklas Wandt is a percussionist, producer, DJ and radio host . He lives in Berlin, where his eclectic approach is heard most regularly basement club Sameheads - a lush sonic palette with a hypnotic, heavily percussive drive, from tripped out downtempo and afrofunky cosmic sound (think Rimini 1995) to driving progressive and tribal house, trance, warped techno and warming tech house – high energy in smooth, long blends. The impeccable rhythmic feel is a reflection of Niklas’ musical roots in the world of drums - he has cut his teeth playing in hiphop, psychedelic rock and free jazz projects and has been part of a number of projects centered around Salon des Amateurs in Düsseldorf. A wide, open minded range of practices that still feed into his music today - at Salon he forged his musical bond to producer Jan Schulte aka Wolf Müller aka Bufiman. The pair released the acclaimed double LP "Instrumentalmusik von der Mitte der World" in 2018 via Growing Bin Records, whose blissful neo-Balearic sound still makes an impact today. Niklas can be also heard as part of the band Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge (with records on the labels Themes for Great Cities, Bureau B and Lustpoderosa that became underground favorites) and in a duo with veteran producer Sascha Funke (two discs on Multi Culti, a third one on R.A.N.D. Muzik), plus on a string of releases for imprints such as Bureau B, Permanent Vacation, Animals Dancing, Neubau, Warning and Edizioni Mondo/Running Back. His various projects have taken him all across Europe (appearing at festivals like Nuits Sonores, Fusion, Garbicz, Unsound, Dancity), to China, Israel & Palestine, the US, Chile, Peru and Mexico. February 2025 will see the release of “Mineral House Vol. 1”, Niklas’ first collaborative EP with Amsterdam-based producer Retromigration, via the revered Berlin imprint Love on the Rocks. Djing since his teens in the late 80s, Benji was introduced to the Berlin Club circuit in the early 90s, with residencies at Tresor in the mid 90s, Bunker´s Red Hot Chill Out Club, Turbine and many others. Bored by the upcoming Minimal/Techhouse scene in Berlin, he was one of the first DJs to incorporate Italo and other odd Discostuff into his sets from 1999 onwards. Born Wellington New Zealand. Started mixing around 1980 after being influenced by the (Italo)disco scene in The Hague. Professional DJ career started in 1990 with squat and club parties in The Hague. Got an installment in LA D.S. club in The Hague in 1992 until 1996 to DJ weekly House, Garage & Disco on Sunday nights. Appeared inbetween on several local parties and clubs. Ever since 1994 weekly guest DJ for regional pirate radio stations together with I-f and crew. (Trend FM, Radical Radio) Since 1999 till now active as DJ in the European clubcircuit (Panorama Bar Berlin, Barcelona, Paard Den Haag , Melkweg Amsterdam , Moscow, Dublin, Glasgow, Madrid, Geneva, Munich etc.) First record produced in 1994 as Silverstream for Top Secret records (TS-004) Started The Parallax Corporation together with I-F in 1998 and produced the clubhit 'Lift Off (Viewlexx V12/5) followed up by the Cocadisco series (Viewlexx V12/10, V12/11, V12/12 & V12/16) The Cocadisco Album (2-LP/CD) later appeared on Disko B. Involved in The Parallax Corporation remix for Jolly Music's-Radio Jolly (Sony) Adult.'s-Hand to Phone (Clone), Ganymed's-Music Takes Me Higher (Sabotage) and Japanese Telecom remix on Detroit's Intuit Solar Records. Last vinyl production as The Conservatives (2003) together with I-F. Since the first days a regular mixer on The Cybernetic Broadcasting System (2002 till now).
