With a scientific approach and an artistic perspective, electronic music has become a mission in his life. While DJing since nearly two decades, he is now based in Berlin and established his own imprint ‚as usual.music’ since 2017 with a bunch of forward-thinking artists in Techhouse and Minimal. With releases on labels like Innocent Music, Sagmen, Golden Gate Club Rec., Datagroove Rec., Antura, Hardcutz Rec., Tonkind, Lazerslut, Sibil.la Music, eMBi Music, japanese-based vinyl label Transit Rec., Questo Music or on the ADE sampler of Pure Enjoyment Recording. Easily he breaks the borders between House, Techno and Minimal and created a distinctive and innovative way of melting these. Groove is essential in his tracks as well as in his sets, which he performs regularly in many of Berlin’s underground clubs, festivals and appearances in countries above. Growing up in the southwest Germany near Switzerland and France, raves in the woods and fields are the roots before his first club in the year 2000. Quickly an exceptional standing as DJ behind the turntables has evolved and made him play nearly each club and venue in the electronic music scene in this area. As resident of the infamous Exodus Parkhaus, he warmed up for lots of heavy weights like Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebling, Marco Carola and many more. Another chapter began with the move to Berlin in 2009. Always operating in the underground scene, he co-organized diverse event series in the following years. After the weekly thursday slot called „Foreplay“ in +4Bar at the legendary Tresor Club, he came through „Hummmpday“ (Arena Club, Wilde Renate) to the birth of „as usual.“ in 2013, which is his own music label up to now. Since 2017, the „as usual.music“ concentrates on releasing a deeply groovin’ cutting-edge sound in various facets, delivered by some fabulous artists of the labels surrounding, as well as several other renowned acts with a contemporary sense for underground club music. Influenced by multiform ranges in Techno and House music, the label unites his long-standing experiences of clubbing, performing and diggin’ music for years, as well as his far-reaching networks. After earlier releases/remixes on labels like Neverending Rec. and Heatflow Rec., 2015 had been an intense studio year and boosted up the studio skills. Besides doing remixes for the Swiss vinyl-only label Questo?! Music, he started new collaborations with producers like Miro Pajic and Jacob Phono on friends’ labels like Tonkind Rec., Klangwild Rec., Schallbox Rec., Compute Music or Zoned-Recordings. On Transit Records Kyoto he was signed for the „Transition EP“ together with his japanese friend Ryoma Sasaki, which was released on vinyl in 2016. Subtly developing a unique style of sound, he landed on labels like Datagroove, Ben Teufel’s Antura Rec., Aney F.’s „Innocent Music“, eMBi Music, Pure Enjoyment Rec. and Golden Gate Club Rec., where he performs reguarly. Whilst combining dreamy melodies with a driving beat, deep basslines and a touch of dark and progressive, sometimes a dash of psy; creating tension is always part of her storytelling. You could say, no matter what set she is playing, she is always taking you on a roller coaster. As diladï she moves in between slowrave and dark disco, downtempo and midtempo. However, sometimes her darker, faster side pushes through; as VALE she has an output for her love of dark melodic/peak techno and psy-techno. The Berlin-based Mona Moore is already since the year 2000 passionate lover of electronic music, so it had to come sooner or, as in your case, a little later that she also ventures behind the mixer. Her debut was in "her living room", as she calls the Kater Club in Berlin. Also outside of Berlin Mona Moore is on the road to present her kind of deep groovy and melodic techno to the audience. Meanwhile she is also one of the resident DJ´s of the famous Berlin Club "Kater Blau", curator of her own mix series for Proton (Out of Space and Time) and organizer of the event series "Enorm in Form" . During Pandemic she started producing music and the first track was released in June 2021 together with Stan Starry. This was followed by releases on the labels "Rebellion der Träumer" and "Grey Bar Hotel". Her philosophy when DJing: "Sharing the love for music and forgetting space and time for a few hours through it". Die in Berlin lebende Mona Moore ist schon seit dem Jahr 2000 passionierte Liebhaberin der Elektronischen Musik, so musste es früher oder wie in Ihrem Fall etwas später dazu kommen das sie sich auch mal hinter den Mixer wagt. Ihr Debut hatte in “ihrem Wohnzimmer”, wie Sie den Kater nennt. Auch außerhalb von Berlin ist Mona Moore unterwegs um Ihre Art des deepen groovigen und melodisch Techno dem Publikum zu präsentieren. In those very days, Stan Starry, born as Marco Kirchner in Gotha/Germany, fell into the black gold and the musical diversity of electronic music around the turn of the millennium. Sven Dohse – both legend and local hero alike. Ask anyone located in Hamburg and Northern Germany and having embraced Techno and related electronic club music around the mid-90s about this man and you will get rave reviews of underground clubs, semi- or illegal festivals and legendary sets enlightening and inspiring, spreading the message of a perfectly blended, neverending flow of 4/4 bassdrums. Ask anyone in his new hometown Berlin, the place Sven Dohse re-located himself to in the noughties, attending places like Ritter Butzke, Kater Holzig and the world-famous Bar 25, a place he played the first ever record that came through their P.A system, or event series like Bachstelzen or Klangsucht and you‘ll hear the stories written in the same key but with a different sound which is the new sound of Berlin that is not only his passion but – partly – his creation as Sven Dohse is one of the cities key figures, ever active albeit not ever in the spotlight of media attention. Dedicated to music as well politics and charity, regularly playing charity events for a good purpose, weighing in with his name and popularity for support. A name carefully chosen and perfectly convenient with the cliche of the well-busy, widely travelled and hyper-hedonistic DJ-lifestyle of today that makes „being a DJ“ not only a job option but the dream of every kid beyond the age of 7 these days that outnumbers „being in a band“ by far. Sven Dohse has been a part of the travelling rat pack for years, has wowed thousands and thousands of people with massive DJ-sets and still found the time to hit knobs and machines of his studio regularly, building a foundation for what shall be recognized as the sound of Prestige Weltweit – his own label, a place for his very personal musical visions, his homebase and his castle, being the leading artist with no borders to his overflowing creativity.
