Erika Andrea Murcia Ruiz, known artistically as RUIZ OSC1, is a Colombian DJ and producer from Bogotá, celebrated for her refined vinyl technique and genre-defying sound. Her performances have graced some of the world’s most respected venues, including Bassiani, VENT Tokyo, Basement New York, Tresor, FOLD, and RSO, alongside appearances at Intercell, Vault Sessions, and showcases for Mutual Rytm and Technics, where she currently serves as an ambassador. Rooted in a lifelong passion for music, RUIZ OSC1 draws inspiration from her mother — a singer and music reseller — who introduced her to salsa, merengue, and Colombian folklore during her upbringing in the late ’80s and early ’90s. After relocating to Europe in 2010, she began blending these rhythmic traditions with contemporary electronic elements, creating her distinctive sound, which she defines as “folkloric techno.” RUIZ OSC1 made her debut on KAOS with contributions to Ritualistic Discoteca and the release of her solo EP Grooveroots. She has since collaborated with acclaimed labels such as Emerald and Molekül, further expanding her sonic identity and global presence. Carmen Electro is a project by a Finnish artist whose DJ sets and productions move fluidly through edges of house, techno, and driving club music. Rooted in a love for vinyl and shaped by years spent immersed in underground dance floors, her sets balance precision with intuition, drawing dancers into a primalistic journey that is both emotionally charged and rhythmically compelling. Known for weaving together driving grooves, atmospheric textures, and unexpected moments of tension and release, Carmen approaches DJing as a form of storytelling. Rather than chasing trends, she focuses on creating a sense of connection: between records, between bodies on the dance floor, and between the listener and herself. Her selections reflect a fascination with the transformative power of nightlife and the ways in which music can blur the boundaries between introspection and collective experience. Carmen’s work of exploring club culture as a space for ritual, self-discovery, and belonging extends outside the DJ booth. Through ongoing field research, productions, event organizing and her KUJE Records label initiatives, she is committed to nurturing communities that celebrate curiosity, authenticity, and the freedom to explore identity through sound.
