Melvin Hein doesn’t make music that politely knocks — he kicks the door in. With HÆIN, the Berlin-based artist, songwriter, and performer unveils a debut project that feels less like an album and more like a reckoning. A love letter to the city’s nightlife and its shadows, HÆIN captures everything Hein has lived, felt, and danced through over the past year: euphoria and excess, comedowns and consequences, hookups, heartbreaks, and healing. It’s hyperpop chaos meeting Berlin techno grit. Glitter in the smoke, tears on the dancefloor, and no room for nonchalance. Originally from Saarland, Hein moved to Berlin to pursue music full-time — a journey that has shaped both the raw vulnerability and sharp intellect of his work. While completing his music studies and working at a label, he has honed a sound that blurs the lines between pop, club culture, and queer storytelling. The result is maximalist, cinematic, and emotionally brutal: music that lives at the intersection of queer desire, existential exhaustion, and glitter-soaked release.
