Emerging as Phase Fatale in 2014, Berlin-based DJ, producer and label owner, Hayden Payne is rewriting the discourse of Techno with his cross-pollination of gnarly basslines, sensual narratives and mind-control mechanics. Demonstrating his vision through an authentic, highly curated sonic-lens of techno, the New York native’s rhythmic excursions draw on his roots in the underground scenes of his respective cities as well as his reputable experience performing to dancefloors globally. Exemplified by long-standing tenures as a resident for esteemed institutions such as Berlin’s Berghain, KHIDI in Georgia's capital Tbilisi, and queer New York collective Merge, Payne demonstrates a resolute understanding of harnessing club synergy across his productions and DJ sets. With three full length albums under his belt, including the 2020 sophomore release ‘Scanning Backwards’ on Berghain’s imprint Ostgut Ton, Payne’s sonic signature pushes the boundaries of techno sensibilities and reflects the zeitgeist whilst staying true to his own vision. Wasting no time since his solo project’s inception to showcase his expert sonic ability, Payne has toured throughout Europe performing at renowned clubs and festivals worldwide, releasing numerous records on labels including Jealous God, Ostgut Ton, and his own label BITE. Hailing from post-punk roots, Payne draws on his depth of musical knowledge and multitude of influences. His merging of nuanced references and high concept narratives remain geared towards the dancefloor at its core, subtleties of his multifarious sonic palette act as the foundations for his layered wall of sound. Payne launched the BITE imprint in 2018 as a means to platform cutting-edge sound production across a diverse roster of international artists. Along with fellow Soft Crash protagonist Pablo Bozzi pioneering ‘Italo Body Music’, BITE’s seminal synthesis of curated techno solidifies the label as a tour de force taste-maker within electronic music with showcases worldwide including Berghain and their 5 year anniversary compilation ‘Shedding Skin’ in 2023.Their RA profile lists Ostgut Ton, Hospital Productions, Jealous God, Falling Ethics and 4 more.Last at Berghain in Oct · often with Ne/Re/A, Roi Perez, Auspex, none of them here that night

“Leaning into the hypnotic, the tension-building, and the euphoric release—Lolsnake (she/they) does not simply play to a room, she creates it.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Leaning into the hypnotic, the tension-building, and the euphoric release—Lolsnake (she/they) does not simply play to a room, she creates it. With a fluid, genre-defiant approach, her sets move between the reduced and the raw, the dramatic and the unpredictable, stirring up heady atmospheres and hypnotic moods on the dancefloor. Driving rhythms and intricate sound design sit alongside moments of startling emotional depth — a sonic signature that is at once intense and deeply feeling, cerebral and magnetically unpredictable. A regular at Berghain, Lolsnake is also the founder of Weeeirdos, a queer platform that champions subversive joy, curiosity, and community. As a DJ and visual artist, her multifaceted background fuels a perspective that is both boundary-pushing and deeply rooted in connection — her sets a constant balance between classic dancefloor accessibility and a desire to push at the edges of genre convention. In 2025, Lolsnake took her sound global, performing at Bassiani (Tbilisi), Basement NYC, WHOLE Festival, and returned to Berghain for several celebrated sets that reflected her evolving sonic palette. Her genre-crossing energy has also been showcased in guest mixes for Mixmag, DJ Mag, The Lot Radio, and Crack Magazine. Weeeirdos, which began in 2017 as a hybrid event combining live music, performance and visual art, has since become one of Berlin's most vital queer dance platforms. In 2023, it moved from OHM to a residency at Säule (Berghain). That same year, Boiler Room invited Lolsnake to curate a Weeeirdos live stream from Berlin's dungeon-like Nåpoleon Komplex. Lolsnake has since been asked to curate key events on the Berghain Mainfloor, The Ground (Space) Miami, Radion Amsterdam, and more. Born in California to Iraqi parents and raised in Oakland, Lolsnake's musical roots trace back to classical training in clarinet, saxophone, and bass clarinet. Her teenage years were shaped by a love of Depeche Mode, Underworld, The Knife, and the Arabic tapes of Oum Kalthoum and Fairouz. A move to Manchester in 2010 to study neuroscience immersed her in the UK's DIY rave scene. Berlin followed in 2014, where she found a deep sense of belonging in the city's queer nightlife. After a decade in Berlin, Lolsnake's sets have matured into shimmering constellations of rhythm — reduced and raw one moment, warm and euphoric the next, with mischievous curveballs at just the right moment. With plans to launch the Weeeirdos label and take the project on a global tour, she remains a powerful force in contemporary club culture: driven by feeling, rooted in community, and guided by no rules but her own.Last at Berghain in Oct · often with Soundstream, VINVAR, Curses, none of them here that night

“THE GOAL IS NOTHING.”
their own biography
the whole biography
THE GOAL IS NOTHING. THE MOVEMENT IS EVERYTHING. Born in the suburbs of Paris and now based in Berlin, Quelza has developed a body of work defined by precision and intent, free from categorisation. His path hasn’t followed scene momentum or passing waves. It unfolds according to its own internal logic — a steady refinement of sound, structure and space. Releases on Dekmantel and Ostgut Ton trace that evolution clearly. Each record carefully engineered: futuristic, grounded, detailed without excess. Tension builds patiently. Rhythms shift and reconfigure. Atmospheres stretch and contract. There is clarity in his music, but never repetition — the framework is solid, the direction always moving forward. Behind the decks, Quelza’s sets don’t rely on genre markers or obvious peaks. He works with pacing, contrast and control — moving between pressure and restraint, density and openness. Rather than chasing reaction, he shapes progression. A regular at institutions such as Berghain, Basement, Fabric and beyond - which reflects something earned over time: trust in his vision and in his ability to hold a room without shortcuts. Quelza’s approach resists short term payoff. The emphasis is on continuity, developing a trajectory that grows with intention over time.Their RA profile lists Ostgut Ton, Mord, 47, Dekmantel UFO and 1 more.Last at Berghain in Oct · often with Rene Wise, cotton, Massimiliano Pagliara, none of them here that night
“Techno has always been about imagining the future and experiencing the excitement of change and discovery.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Techno has always been about imagining the future and experiencing the excitement of change and discovery. If anyone has lived up to this aspiration in recent years it would be Stefan Goldmann. Through every release and project he has brought a new edge to the table, with several of his tracks having served as genre-shifting blueprints – from his early reductionist works for the Classic and Perlon labels to Sleepy Hollow or Lunatic Fringe. Utilising an evolutionary approach which takes nothing for granted he is continuously infusing variation into the formal core of techno – from shifting meters to designing tuning systems to re-imagining the technological base of storing music. Radical yet playful innovation has consequently also become the criterion of Macro, the label he operates with Finn Johannsen. Stefan Goldmann performs regularly throughout Europe, Asia, the Americas and Australia. In addition he has expanded his artistic reach through a wide array of extraordinary projects outside of club culture, while maintaining an approach that remains essentially techno: investigating grid rhythm, sampling, vinyl culture or digitisation down to their cores. These encounters range from an intimate solo performance at Kyoto's iconic Honen-in Temple to performing the first ever electronic concert at Philharmonie Berlin's Grand Hall, in addition to curating a two-day festival for the eminent classical music institution. Commissions include the large-scale music theatre composition 'alif', site-specific concerts at LA's LACMA museum and CCK in Buenos Aires, collaborations with Ensemble Modern, scoring the award-winning documentary 'A1' and as well as a ballet for Nationaltheater Mannheim. A special relationship has grown between Stefan Goldmann and Berlin's Berghain. DJing at the club since 2006, he also conceived the Elektroakustischer Salon nights, opening up the venue for experimental music, and writes a column for the Berghain program flyer since 2012. He has also published the book 'Presets' and has written extensively on the aesthetics of electronic music. Few other artists have expanded techno's formal range farther while simultaneously pushing the envelope of dance music.Their RA profile lists Classic, Ovum Recordings, Cocoon Recordings, Perlon and 6 more.often with Oracy, Installation, Nevin Aladağ, none of them here that night
“Growing up in Munich, the talented, energetic and dedicated artist quickly found her feet in music.”

the whole biography
Growing up in Munich, the talented, energetic and dedicated artist quickly found her feet in music. Her career kick-started in the late 90s thanks to a wave of early hit singles, and she soon began to tour as a DJ, discovering a real passion for life in front of the crowd. Inspired by the warm and analog tracks of the 80s and 90s, her DJ sets combine this sound with modern a in an exciting fusion, layered with spontaneous live vocals adding a unique third dimension. With a careful mixture of peaks and also moments of reduction, she commands attention in her hybrid DJ / Live performances. Her song-writing and production projects continued to grace the charts and hold her in great respect in the scene. Her full length album, 'Twisted Mind', was released in 2008 on Rough Trade, co-produced with Eye- Q Records' Steve B-Zet; a wonderfully musical cross-over album that found its way into Film and TV airplay. The album was a positive blend of electro-pop, a project which saw Virginia touring live on stage with a 5-piece band. Viriginia co-wrote a wealth of productions and guest appearances, alongside the likes of Steve Bug, Butch, Abe Duque and most recently with Panorama Bar resident Steffi, on her album 'Yours & Mine'. Beginning with a vocal-led collaboration, 'Reasons', on Jus Ed's acclaimed label Underground Quality in Oct 2010, they have since gone on to produce some very exciting results. Steffi's album focuses two tracks around Virginia's vocals which she feels really reflect her true musical direction - the tracks 'Yours', a rousing hit in the making, and the touching 'You Own My Mind' (both released on Berlin's Ostgut Ton in Feb 2011). Virginia's rich, colourful and vibrant voice has brought a golden touch to her widespread and highly respected release catalogue, and she continues to collaborate with some of electronic music's key players. Always developing her own production skills, she released her first solo production "Loch& Hill" on Ostgut Ton, 8th of april 2013. Another Ep for Ostgut Ton was released september 2014. And her first studio album "Fierce For The Night" was just released in may 2016.Their RA profile lists Poker Flat Recordings, Ostgut Ton, Underground Quality, Abe Duque Records and 6 more.Last at Berghain in Oct · often with Steffi, Tama Sumo, Marcel Dettmann, none of them here that night

“German producer, DJ, label and record store owner Cinthie has become one of the most sought-after artists in the contemporary electronic scene.”
their own biography
the whole biography
German producer, DJ, label and record store owner Cinthie has become one of the most sought-after artists in the contemporary electronic scene. Dubbed by many as the Berlin Queen of House, the last decade has seen her become an unstoppable force who has a touring schedule that takes her across the globe to perform at leading clubs and festivals across Europe, Asia, the Americas and beyond. Cinthie's knowledge of house music's foundations is second to none, as reflected by the vast vinyl collection she has been building since 1995. Her DJ sets cleverly join the dots between the past and the present and plot lines between the swing of New York, the rawness of Chicago and the energy of Berlin. They're stripped back and emotive, whether deep or vocal, and always married to an irresistible groove. In the studio, Cinthie has mastered the art of making maximum impact from bare musical essentials. For more than 20 years her timeless house sounds have come on labels like Heist, Aus Music and her own 803 Crystal Grooves, and in 2020 gave rise to her adventurous and accomplished debut album Skylines - City Lights. Cinthie's DJ-kicks mix in 2022 was another high-water mark. It's a revered series that had a big impact on her in the nineties, and her own entry is one of house music's best. House music isn't known for its live shows, and even less so for female live artists. But as always, Cinthie is breaking new ground and has recently taken her machines on the road to cult events like Sonar and Mutek. Her influential Elevate.Berlin store is also known for its exceptional taste: every record is handpicked by Cinthie. Such realness and authenticity have always been synonymous with proper house music, but they are also the values that stand Cinthie apart.Their RA profile lists Skint, Aus Music, Running Back, Watergate Records and 6 more.Recently at Zeiss Grossplanetarium, Berghain, Silent Green · often with Fadi Mohem, Alinka, Efdemin, none of them here that night

“Contrast.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Contrast. Objection. Antithesis. This is how you might start an attempt to describe the world. A seemingly chaos of shapes and thoughts that don't belong to each other. An overall image to be found in life and in music. But that's not how Fiedel views things. Where others make distinctions, he sees connections, where others find emptiness, he finds rooms full of opportunities. Finding those harmonies, connections and contexts marks out his musical work. The synthesis of apparently opposing music, the interaction and the mix of styles and moods, without loosing the storyline, that makes out the characteristic Fiedel sound. Born and raised in Brandenburg, he finds access to the music through various artists and styles in the mid 1980s. He was influenced by artists of the old school hip hop like Mantronix and Egyptian Lover and the early works of Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk. A very important influence was Monika Dietl’s radio show at Radio 4U in West-Berlin. Her show aroused the fascination and the longing for musical freedom and diversity, that was not possible in former Eastern Germany. Those impressions gave him a first feeling, a first vision of what should become alive later on. After the wall came down, the way was open to access a fresh scene, and with it came a whole spectrum of new and old music to discover. In the beginning of the 1990s, he started DJing in public as a regular at the Monday events at Subversiv. Shortly after he began his collaboration with his befriended Errorsmith under the name of MMM. They released several productions and play live shows. Since 2000 he is resident at OstGut and later on at Berghain. On the compilation Fünf he had his first solo release on the incorporated Ostgut Ton label, followed by contributions to the compilations Various (2013) and Ostgut Ton | Zehn (2015). In 2012 he eventually founded his own label Fiedelone, to give his own productions a more personal base. In spring 2014 he developed a live set, which he premiered at Berghain. March 2017 saw his first full Ostgut Ton release with the 12" Substance B, followed up by his contribution to the Berghain mixes series in January 2018.Their RA profile lists Ostgut Ton, Night Slugs, MMM, Key Records and 6 more.Recently at Berghain, Tresor / Globus · often with Luke Slater, Claudio PRC, Gerd Janson, none of them here that night
“Tijana T is a key part of Serbia’s music scene.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Tijana T is a key part of Serbia’s music scene. Now a full time DJ, Tijana T is overtaking on the inside fast lane to global stardom. Her mastery of an acid-dominant techno style with elements of house, electro, breakbeat and trance has turned ears all across the globe. This lethal dancefloor style has propelled her to become one of the busiest and most durable DJs on the tour circuit. Over 700 shows in 50+ countries in six continents since the start of 2016 tells its own story. Spinning coldwave at dawn in Antarctica? Surely not far off. Unlike other breakthroughs in the game, Tijana T has put in the hard hours. As this burst of recent activity shows, she was completely ready to make the leap and break out of Belgrade when the time came. Now, she does it all. Whether opening or closing, on Ibizan terraces or in smokey basements, soundtracking the sunrise for a few hundred or headlining festival stages to tens of thousands, the details are immaterial. What happens when she plays is empathy with the audience, selecting music to expand their hunger, as well as satisfy their pleasure-centre core. This is why everyone from Berghain to The Bunker NYC, and Beats In Space to Boiler Room have called upon Tijana T lately. Belgrade is where the artist born Tijana Todorovic first made her name, moving from heavy presence on local TV and radio to marathon slots across town, specifically the world-renowned Drugstore and Klub 20/44. Now the tables have turned: in the late 2010s, she is making Belgrade’s name. Tijana T has become a global ambassador for the city, tirelessly exporting its culture. As her reputation has travelled, so has she. Negative preconceptions about Serbia are falling, replaced by the squelch of a 303, a touch of class behind the booth, and more and more people admiring this fiercely determined talent.Their RA profile lists Festplatten, Items & Things, Abe Duque Records, Dystopian and 2 more.Recently at Berghain, Else · often with Yamour, Chami, Moopie, none of them here that night
“Xiaolin's elusive, dreamlike sonic world treads the delicate balance between light and dark, tension and release.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Xiaolin's elusive, dreamlike sonic world treads the delicate balance between light and dark, tension and release. Inspired by sounds from the mid 80’s-early 00’s, and driven by her love for film, anime, nature and French impressionism, Xiaolin’s atmospheric, analog synth-heavy productions range from gritty acid and hypnotic tech house with earthy percussion to tripped-out electro, shimmering techno and dubby downtempo ambience that invoke feelings of romantic adventure. Despite her ever-evolving nature, Xiaolin’s ethereal-yet-grounded sound remains a signature throughout all productions, combining soft imagination with raw power. Xiaolin is sensitive to the dance floor and curates a dynamic journey unbound by genre, digging deep in order to discover unlikely connections. Her house-to-techno DJ sets, sprinkled with progressive and organic sounds, 303 and breaks, draw energy from the four elements, while her original live set has three formats: “Sun” for sunrise settings, “Moon” for meditative settings and “Body” for nightclub settings. Releases include two EP’s on 宀 Records, a collaborative track on Klasse Wrecks, VA contributions on 20/20 Vision (Exit Planet Earth - “Helium”), Polychrome Audio (“Diffraction EP”) and Harmony Rec (upcoming), as well as three 80’s Cantonese disco tribute EP’s on Sound Metaphors’ “Bless You” imprint (A&R by Jane Fitz). Her live set recordings for QEONE’s SoundSculptors series and Rainbow Disco Club have garnered critical acclaim. Past highlights include Wonderfruit Festival, Boiler Room, Transmissions at FOLD, Nuits Sonores, Essaim Paris, Blitz Club and Panorama Bar. She made her Rainbow Disco Club live set debut with Kuniyuki Takahashi in April 2025, with standout appearances at Monument, Draaimolen and CODA by Ratherlost and Pax-Romana for ADE. Xiaolin previously hosted a bimonthly show on Baihui Radio China and has done guest mixes on The Mudd Show, The Lot Radio, NTS, Noods, Test Pressing, EYA, Trommel and Balamii amongst others.Their RA profile lists 20/20 Vision, Sound Metaphors, Klasse Wrecks, Harmony Rec. and 5 more.Last at OXI in Aug · often with Rødhåd, Barbara Preisinger, Richard Akingbehin, none of them here that night
