Who they are
“With a scientific approach and an artistic perspective, electronic music has become a mission in his life.”
their own biography
the whole biography
With a scientific approach and an artistic perspective, electronic music has become a mission in his life. While DJing since nearly two decades, he is now based in Berlin and established his own imprint ‚as usual.music’ since 2017 with a bunch of forward-thinking artists in Techhouse and Minimal. With releases on labels like Innocent Music, Sagmen, Golden Gate Club Rec., Datagroove Rec., Antura, Hardcutz Rec., Tonkind, Lazerslut, Sibil.la Music, eMBi Music, japanese-based vinyl label Transit Rec., Questo Music or on the ADE sampler of Pure Enjoyment Recording. Easily he breaks the borders between House, Techno and Minimal and created a distinctive and innovative way of melting these. Groove is essential in his tracks as well as in his sets, which he performs regularly in many of Berlin’s underground clubs, festivals and appearances in countries above. Growing up in the southwest Germany near Switzerland and France, raves in the woods and fields are the roots before his first club in the year 2000. Quickly an exceptional standing as DJ behind the turntables has evolved and made him play nearly each club and venue in the electronic music scene in this area. As resident of the infamous Exodus Parkhaus, he warmed up for lots of heavy weights like Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebling, Marco Carola and many more. Another chapter began with the move to Berlin in 2009. Always operating in the underground scene, he co-organized diverse event series in the following years. After the weekly thursday slot called „Foreplay“ in +4Bar at the legendary Tresor Club, he came through „Hummmpday“ (Arena Club, Wilde Renate) to the birth of „as usual.“ in 2013, which is his own music label up to now. Since 2017, the „as usual.music“ concentrates on releasing a deeply groovin’ cutting-edge sound in various facets, delivered by some fabulous artists of the labels surrounding, as well as several other renowned acts with a contemporary sense for underground club music. Influenced by multiform ranges in Techno and House music, the label unites his long-standing experiences of clubbing, performing and diggin’ music for years, as well as his far-reaching networks. After earlier releases/remixes on labels like Neverending Rec. and Heatflow Rec., 2015 had been an intense studio year and boosted up the studio skills. Besides doing remixes for the Swiss vinyl-only label Questo?! Music, he started new collaborations with producers like Miro Pajic and Jacob Phono on friends’ labels like Tonkind Rec., Klangwild Rec., Schallbox Rec., Compute Music or Zoned-Recordings. On Transit Records Kyoto he was signed for the „Transition EP“ together with his japanese friend Ryoma Sasaki, which was released on vinyl in 2016. Subtly developing a unique style of sound, he landed on labels like Datagroove, Ben Teufel’s Antura Rec., Aney F.’s „Innocent Music“, eMBi Music, Pure Enjoyment Rec. and Golden Gate Club Rec., where he performs reguarly. Moreover he played gigs at festivals like Fusion or Wilde Möhre, as well as in clubs in London, Moscow, Vienna, Zürich, Ljubljana or Stockholm, and in countries like Japan, Mexico, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Morocco.Their RA profile lists Heatflow Records, Lazerslut, Schallbox Records, Neverending Records and 6 more.Recently at AVA Club, Kater, Golden Gate · often with AVA RESIDENTS, nixmoon, UniKhatu, none of them here that night

Coco got his infusion in the nineties. Result: heavily techno addicted. Since then he's a dj and appears as Coco or Coco Berlin. For more than two decades he is celebrating and organising (in cooperation with Empro) his infamous 36-hour party "Betriebsfeier" at Hoppetosse (by CDV) in Berlin, which is known for its unique freedom, true spirit, excellent music and heavy partying. Coco regularly plays Berlin clubs like Sisyphos, Salon zur Wilden Renate, Kater Blau, Goldengate, Watergate and many more. Nowadays he also infects the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Denmark, UK, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia with his charismatic and surprising mental influenced mix of darker Minimal, House, Techno and a touch of Wave and Retro. “Empro grew up in Thuringia in East Germany during the late 80s.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Empro grew up in Thuringia in East Germany during the late 80s. His interest on the variety of electronic music awakes in the mid-90s. Following the move to Berlin in 2000 and an intense journey through different styles of the new music movement, he quickly dipped into the scene and became an active part of it. Until today techno music has not lost anything of its charm to him. Empro has the pleasure to play his music in clubs and on festivals all over the world. In 2012 he became a resident DJ at the world-famous club Sisyphos in Berlin. Empros first DJ gig was in 2003 at Underground Berlin below Alexanderplatz. Numerous gigs followed and within a short time he played in Berlins most popular clubs like Panoramabar, Watergate, Tresor, Bar25, Maria, WMF and Polar TV. You can describe Empros music as trippy, twisted, dynamic, organic, daisy and always forwards. He is well-known for his energetic enduring TechHouse Sets, alongside he invites everyone to listen, feel and enjoy the music and makes everybody dance like nobody is watching, also himself. Taken by the desire to create something unique he founded together with Ruede Hagelstein the booking agency Mind The Crap in 2004. Afterwards he decided to set up his own and still ongoing business project „free agency“. In 2011 he had his own Techno Club called Levee. Besides he is the initiator of varied party series in and around Berlin like HomeSweetHome (in co-op with Marcus Meinhardt) and Betriebsfeier (founded in 2003 together with Coco Berlin). Moreover he supported the Melt!Festival with organizing the Sleepless Floor for many years and was involved in festivals like SonneMondSterne, Fusion and Sonar OFF. Apart from being a DJ all over, he released since 2006 his own productions and remixes on several labels like BAR25, Heinz Music, Upon. You Records and Freizeitglauben. Empro is currently back in his studio and you should watch out for his next releases.Their RA profile lists BAR25, aromamusic, Freizeitglauben Berlin and Heinz Music.Recently at Cassiopeia, Renate, Hoppetosse · often with Miss Supershit, Tudse, BODYSHIFT, none of them here that night

In 2012 she became a member of the Schiffbruch event crew whose ethos is great music and harmonic energy. Josephine soon became a regular on Berlin’s club and underground scene, frequently playing her trippy style of music at some of the most influential locations including Mensch Meier, Rummels Bucht & Sisyphos. Her talent for constructing story-like sets & special taste in music has taken her to many amazing gatherings & events around the world including Fusion (GER), Plötzlich am Meer (PL), Doof Festival & Klika of Happiness (ISR), Lost Theory & Mo:Dem Festival (HR). After 10 years spinning as Josephine Wedekind she started Ayjo as a platform to express a more downtempo, psychedelic & experimental sound. This freestyle approach became an inspiration for xXƎTEXx & so in October 2015, in collaboration with Golan aka Bayawaka & Lilian Stark, the 1st xXƎTEXx event took place in Berlin. The idea being that ‘Music is without borders, unlimited by genre, it’s simply a representation of taste’.Last at Void Club in Nov · often with FRY VISUALS, DANIEL HAASNOOT, FIFS LIVE, none of them here that night

Ruede Hagelstein initially wanted to become a rock star. Fortunately everything came differently. And it’s his home that’s to blame: Berlin. This boundless city, where he juggles with beats and melodies, moods and genres. As a producer, singer-songwriter and DJ, he lends the local dance, techno and electronic scene its international splendour. Thank God he did not become a rock star.Their RA profile lists Bedrock Records, Souvenir Music, Flying Circus, Upon. You and 5 more.Recently at Colosseum Filmtheater, Else · often with Slurm McKenzie, Tomislav, Nadine Hennig, none of them here that night
