Emerging from Berlin’s ever-evolving electronic music landscape, Surf 2 Glory marks the latest chapter in the artistic journey of Greta Carlotta Galla - previously known under her solo alias Galleur. What began as a collaborative project has now transformed into a fully independent artistic vision, following the departure of Sanaz from the duo. Today, Surf 2 Glory stands as a singular voice: emotionally charged, high-impact, and rooted in a deep understanding of club culture. Galla’s trajectory into music was never accidental. It was built from the ground up through years of immersion in the industry. With early roots in editorial work, artist club and concert booking, and cultural journalism, she developed a nuanced perspective on music long before stepping fully into the DJ booth. Her experience spans roles in booking agencies, music media, and international brand campaigns, including positions at Intro Magazin, BFOS Booking or agencies like Ogilvy and Styleheads, as well as leading booking strategy for club institutions such as Open Ground Wuppertal. This multifaceted background continues to shape her artistic identity. Rather than approaching DJing as a fixed genre exercise, Surf 2 Glory embodies constant evolution: an ethos Galla herself has emphasized in interviews, describing her sound as fluid and ever-changing, driven by curiosity and a fascination with unexpected sonic “glitches” that give tracks their edge. With a dramaturgical approach to DJ sets, Carl Bergé specializes in cross-genre selections built with exponential intensity, earning a residency at HÖR Berlin in 2025 and regular slots alongside artists such as Sally C, Marie Montexier, Sam Alfred, Kikelomo, Gabrielle Kwarteng, DJ Heartstring and Lovefoxy. While House music remains at the core of his sound, Carl’s productions blend his passion for deep, pacy and unconventional music - garnering support and recognition from icons such as Skin On Skin, DJ BORING and Job Jobse. Although he grew up in West-Germany, Carl’s passion for electronic music ignited in ever-sunny Australia, where he spent 12-hour farmwork shifts listening to early releases of Mall Grab and Ross From Friends on repeat. Further down the road, institutions like SASH, Revolver Upstairs and Naarm’s celebrated Breakfast Club shaped his taste and understanding of electronic music. After relocating to Berlin, he founded label and event series coconut concepts and quickly started playing in the esteemed club scene of the so-called “Techno Capital“.
