  Son of Lee is Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Sam Levison. A musical omnivore with a love for all things deep, cosmic and deep in the cosmos, he started DJing as a teenager and has been active in Brooklyn's dance music underground for almost ten years. Currently, he is a resident DJ at hi-fi listening bar Outer Heaven. Previously, he's held residencies at Bossa Nova Civic Club, Wild Birds, Public Records and Jupiter Disco, among others. Sam has also played renowned nightclubs including Output, Elsewhere, Berlin's KitKat Club, Departamento CDMX and Golden Pudel in Hamburg on bills alongside Soul Clap, Terrence Parker, Analog Soul, Lawrence (Dial) and many others. However, he feels most at home spinning genre-spanning sets at the bars and small venues that are the lifeblood of his hometown music scene. As a producer, he’s released disco and house records on labels including Dailysession NY, Toucan Sounds and Berlin's Disco Bizarre. Most recently he had a featured remix on Tyler Pope's solo debut, Nur Weill Ich Kann (Interference Pattern, 2020) and a dubbed out cosmic disco edit on Rocksteady Disco's ABC Versions EP alongside tracks from Blair French and Peter Croce. No matter where he DJs, Son of Lee is committed to a single goal best articulated by his idol George Clinton: the preservation of the motion of hips.

  (This biographical text was updated in November 2019.) Daniel Wang - the DJ for people who love to dance - and for everyone who loves music for music's sake. Daniel was born in Oakland, California, but spent 8 years of his childhood in Taipei; went to university near New York, and was deeply moved by the house music and the "disco classics" which he heard in the early 1990s at parties with DJs like Tee Scott, Francois Kevorkian, and Danny Krivit. He ended up living in downtown Manhattan from 1994 to 2003 and worked for 5 years at a synthesizer shop there, a job which became a sort of apprenticeship in all things related to the music which he loves. After releasing about ten vinyl 12"s on his own Balihu label, he put to use his newfound knowledge and produced 3 solid EPs for the Environ label of his dear friend Morgan Geist (aka Metro Area & Storm Queen). From that point on, in year 2001, Daniel began to travel and perform much more in Europe and in Japan. He moved to Berlin in 2003, which offered him new chances to learn and to perform for diverse audiences, from the welcoming queer crowds at Horse Meat Disco to festivals in London and Paris, at intimate venues from Tokyo to Helsinki, from Dublin to São Paulo. His DJ sets are well-known for their energetic blend of disco, soul, and old and new house tracks - but most of all for their sheer sense of joy and musicality, and their negation of all that is monotonous and mechanical in the so-called Electronic Dance Music scene of today. Around 2015, Daniel released two personal mix CDs in Japan featuring the back catalogs of New York's definitive disco labels, West End and Salsoul Records. He installed new software and monitor speakers in 2017, completed 2 remixes for the artists Wolfgang Tillmans and Cerrone, and just put out a new 12" under the moniker "S.D.A.P (Some Drums And Pianos)" in late summer of 2019. But most of all, Daniel remains enchanted by the people, the streets, and the nightclubs of Berlin. He can be heard regularly at Schwuz, Wilde Renate, and at his monthly residence at the Paloma Bar in Kreuzberg. Stay tuned to see what comes out of his studio after this long period of nesting and soul-searching in the ultra-hip, ultra-banal, mythical capital city of Germania :-)
