Currently a resident at Refuge Worldwide, he focuses on covering music from different genres and the social and cultural themes they evoke. fisk is a genre-fluid DJ, promoter, sound engineer and artist navigating club, experimental and bass music for almost a decade. Working with self-recorded samples, she chops, processes and re-samples her material into textured, low-end-driven constructions. Since making music for self indulgence, it has restored pleasure and weirdness to her work. fisk’s practice moves between exhibition and stage, merging activism and artistic expression, rooted in the DIY. As a DJ she plays a variety or music styes, weaving them into her distinctive approach to club and bass music. fisk has also been curating concerts and club nights in Berlin, championing eclectic and forward-thinking sounds, while battling the ever growing commercialisation of underground and organically grown culture and communities. - perfection is fake - rhythm is life - Part of AL.Berlin crew, a collective showcasing interdisciplinary events with live music, DJs and artists, with focus on contemporary music of West Asia & North Africa. Co-founder and former resident of Green Room Berlin (2022-2025). Intimate parties for darker, more percussive side of electronic music with a distinct UK Influence. Founder and curator of concert series and deep listening sessions Mixed Signals/Keine Zeit (2022 - 2024). The event series will pick up again in the future. “Maque is a multidisciplinary artist who believes in the transformative power of pleasure.”

the whole biography
Maque is a multidisciplinary artist who believes in the transformative power of pleasure. Her music and DJ sets are a ride for pleasure and perreo, for dancing pegadito and transforming rage into sweat, joy and sexiness. Born and raised in Bolivia, she started blending cumbia, reggaeton and traditional bolivian music sounds into her choreographic performances, to then start rapping, DJ-ing and producing music. Weaving different genres with a strong bass and dembow, her sound is a hypnotizing pelvic/culo summoning. She played at platforms such as Hoe_mies x Keephush, Listen to Berlin Awards, Metarave, Refuge Worldwide, Kiosk Radio, a.o. Her videoclip C4R4COL, which she directed, was part of the Berlin Video Music Awards 2024. In 2023, Maque co-founded CHOKA together with auto_timer. CHOKA is a party and a platform that aims to amplify sounds from the global south. They received support from Music Board Berlin through their Residency program in Hellerau and recently dropped the party itself. Her EP “Baba” produced with auto_timer and Lisa Kida, is expected to be dropped in January 2025.Their RA profile lists Lustpoderosa.Recently at Badehaus Berlin, Panke, ÆDEN · often with auto_timer, DJ LOUI FROM JUPITER4, Gadutra, none of them here that night
