ENNIO is a Berlin-based artist who operates at the edges of genre and identity. Raised in Germany with Asian and Slavic roots, he developed his sound outside fixed roles and definitions. His music comes from that in-between space where identity is shaped by experience rather than tradition. Raw, rhythmic and built to move, with a signature bounce that needs no explanation. His breakout EP »Scacotteter« (TILT) introduced him as a distinctive voice in the global club landscape. Its standout track, »Gunung Padang«, merges Indonesian influences with Slavic vocal cuts and helped the release gain wide recognition among some of the scene’s most influential selectors. His follow-up single »Don’t Stop (Gimme More)« expanded that energy even further — playful and unapologetic, built around a cheeky vocal hook and the distinctive ENNIO bounce that became a crowd favourite. 2024 saw him contribute »Blok M« to A7A Records’ Lunar New Year Compilation, a project celebrating artists from across the Asian diaspora. That same year, »Bloody Beetroots« (TILT) arrived — driving yet fluid, a gritty track built for peak-time energy. 2025 began with »Chim Lạc Dan, Garuda!«, a collaboration with close friend and TILT ally HAMY, on A7A’s Year of the Snake edition. The track channels their Vietnamese and Indonesian backgrounds into a statement of visibility for Asian voices within club culture. Around the same time, he brought his sound to Berlin Fashion Week, teaming up with Sia Arnika and Lou De Bétoly. He was recently named “Artists Exciting Us In 2025” by Mixmag Asia. Beyond the studio, he is part of TILT, and co-founded his new platform BUTO BAYANG with HAMY in late 2025. Leaning into the hypnotic, the tension-building, and the euphoric release—Lolsnake (she/they) does not simply play to a room, she creates it. With a fluid, genre-defiant approach, her sets move between the reduced and the raw, the dramatic and the unpredictable, stirring up heady atmospheres and hypnotic moods on the dancefloor. Driving rhythms and intricate sound design sit alongside moments of startling emotional depth — a sonic signature that is at once intense and deeply feeling, cerebral and magnetically unpredictable. A regular at Berghain, Lolsnake is also the founder of Weeeirdos, a queer platform that champions subversive joy, curiosity, and community. As a DJ and visual artist, her multifaceted background fuels a perspective that is both boundary-pushing and deeply rooted in connection — her sets a constant balance between classic dancefloor accessibility and a desire to push at the edges of genre convention. In 2025, Lolsnake took her sound global, performing at Bassiani (Tbilisi), Basement NYC, WHOLE Festival, and returned to Berghain for several celebrated sets that reflected her evolving sonic palette. Her genre-crossing energy has also been showcased in guest mixes for Mixmag, DJ Mag, The Lot Radio, and Crack Magazine. Weeeirdos, which began in 2017 as a hybrid event combining live music, performance and visual art, has since become one of Berlin's most vital queer dance platforms. In 2023, it moved from OHM to a residency at Säule (Berghain). That same year, Boiler Room invited Lolsnake to curate a Weeeirdos live stream from Berlin's dungeon-like Nåpoleon Komplex. Lolsnake has since been asked to curate key events on the Berghain Mainfloor, The Ground (Space) Miami, Radion Amsterdam, and more. Born in California to Iraqi parents and raised in Oakland, Lolsnake's musical roots trace back to classical training in clarinet, saxophone, and bass clarinet. Her teenage years were shaped by a love of Depeche Mode, Underworld, The Knife, and the Arabic tapes of Oum Kalthoum and Fairouz. A move to Manchester in 2010 to study neuroscience immersed her in the UK's DIY rave scene. Berlin followed in 2014, where she found a deep sense of belonging in the city's queer nightlife. After a decade in Berlin, Lolsnake's sets have matured into shimmering constellations of rhythm — reduced and raw one moment, warm and euphoric the next, with mischievous curveballs at just the right moment.
