their own biography
the whole biography
Kwartz is the stage name of Mario Campos, born in Madrid in 1989 and now based in Berlin. In late 2011 and after publishing several EP’s in different international labels, Kwartz's productions began to draw the attention of the leading names in the international scene, so in 2013 Exium released a split EP with him called Fenomen, which was his first release on vinyl. In late 2013 Kwartz joined PoleGroup and became part of the booking roster of the label commanded by Oscar Mulero, where he began to release his works regularly. In addition to PoleGroup, his tracks have appeared in several of the most important international labels, such as 47 (Tommy Four Seven’s label), Mord Records, Semantica, Horo or Warm Up Recordings. 2016 brings the launch of his own label: Order&Devotion, where he will release those of his works which move between dark atmospheres and deep and visceral sounds, all surrounded by rhythms designed for the dance floor. His sets could be described with three words: raw, mental and groovy, in which he pushes the dancefloor to a constantly state of tension.Their RA profile lists Semantica Records, Nheoma, PoleGroup Recordings, Warm Up and 6 more.Recently at Berghain, Else · often with Abajour, Zombies In Miami, Aöcram, none of them here that night
“Leaning into the hypnotic, the tension-building, and the euphoric release—Lolsnake (she/they) does not simply play to a room, she creates it.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Leaning into the hypnotic, the tension-building, and the euphoric release—Lolsnake (she/they) does not simply play to a room, she creates it. With a fluid, genre-defiant approach, her sets move between the reduced and the raw, the dramatic and the unpredictable, stirring up heady atmospheres and hypnotic moods on the dancefloor. Driving rhythms and intricate sound design sit alongside moments of startling emotional depth — a sonic signature that is at once intense and deeply feeling, cerebral and magnetically unpredictable. A regular at Berghain, Lolsnake is also the founder of Weeeirdos, a queer platform that champions subversive joy, curiosity, and community. As a DJ and visual artist, her multifaceted background fuels a perspective that is both boundary-pushing and deeply rooted in connection — her sets a constant balance between classic dancefloor accessibility and a desire to push at the edges of genre convention. In 2025, Lolsnake took her sound global, performing at Bassiani (Tbilisi), Basement NYC, WHOLE Festival, and returned to Berghain for several celebrated sets that reflected her evolving sonic palette. Her genre-crossing energy has also been showcased in guest mixes for Mixmag, DJ Mag, The Lot Radio, and Crack Magazine. Weeeirdos, which began in 2017 as a hybrid event combining live music, performance and visual art, has since become one of Berlin's most vital queer dance platforms. In 2023, it moved from OHM to a residency at Säule (Berghain). That same year, Boiler Room invited Lolsnake to curate a Weeeirdos live stream from Berlin's dungeon-like Nåpoleon Komplex. Lolsnake has since been asked to curate key events on the Berghain Mainfloor, The Ground (Space) Miami, Radion Amsterdam, and more. Born in California to Iraqi parents and raised in Oakland, Lolsnake's musical roots trace back to classical training in clarinet, saxophone, and bass clarinet. Her teenage years were shaped by a love of Depeche Mode, Underworld, The Knife, and the Arabic tapes of Oum Kalthoum and Fairouz. A move to Manchester in 2010 to study neuroscience immersed her in the UK's DIY rave scene. Berlin followed in 2014, where she found a deep sense of belonging in the city's queer nightlife. After a decade in Berlin, Lolsnake's sets have matured into shimmering constellations of rhythm — reduced and raw one moment, warm and euphoric the next, with mischievous curveballs at just the right moment. With plans to launch the Weeeirdos label and take the project on a global tour, she remains a powerful force in contemporary club culture: driven by feeling, rooted in community, and guided by no rules but her own.Last at Berghain in Dec 2025 · often with Soundstream, VINVAR, Elle Dee, none of them here that night

“Phara spins an intricate, contemporary take on techno while never losing touch with the genre's essence.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Phara spins an intricate, contemporary take on techno while never losing touch with the genre's essence. Influenced by the pioneering sounds of Detroit, Berlin and the UK, as well as post-punk, wave, EBM and electro, he makes compelling, highly personal tracks that ooze energy. Having emerged on the international scene with the "Next Of Kin" album on Black Sun Records, further experimentation with a slew of classic hardware synthesizers and outboard effects led to an analog-oriented practice and a selection of EPs that found a home at other blue chip imprints such as Soma,SK Eleven, Stockholm LTD and Planet Rhythm. Eventually his urge to move rapidly spurred the set-up of "Phaaar", the gimmick-free record label that serves as an additional output for his own music. It is clear Phara's production method is informed by the club and vice versa: the groove and power present on his records move and intertwine in the same fluid motion that he taps into as a DJ. He plays vinyl-only sets that navigate an intersection of fast rhythms, industrial atmospheres and dubbed-out pulses, backed by a collection of stone-cold classics. His venturesome spirit, understanding of dancefloor dynamics and pin-accurate mixing skills landed him a well-traveled booking schedule and a resident spot at Fuse, his hometown Brussels' legendary techno venue. In 2022, he ventured into new territory and debuted his live show, taking the Korg EMX-1 - a machine he knows inside and out - from the studio to the main stage. Showing a whole lot can be done with little, these performances adequately represent Phara's approach. The fusion of propulsive drum sequences, detuned chords and rumbling bass he fires from what is arguably his favorite piece of gear indeed both recounts and re-imagines the power of classic techno.Their RA profile lists Soma Records, Stockholm LTD, Sonntag Morgen, Planet Rhythm Records and 5 more.Last at Berghain in Oct 2025 · often with Fadi Mohem, Setaoc Mass, Violetta (DE), none of them here that night

“As a music producer and DJ, Temudo is part of a new generation of artists whose work relies on the contemporary approach to Techno.”
their own biography
the whole biography
As a music producer and DJ, Temudo is part of a new generation of artists whose work relies on the contemporary approach to Techno. His music allies the soul of the genre with a modern methodology, and has the seal of genre defining labels like Klockworks, Soma, Modularz, Mord or Clergy. He’s one of the minds behind Hayes and runs his own Mastering Studio: Tema Mastering. The Portuguese João Rodrigues started his alias Temudo in 2014, after a period into the Drum and Bass scene. The Drum and Bass influence can be heard not only on the detailed sound design and low end focus of his music, but also on the energetic and eclectic 3 deck sets he has to offer. Over the last years he saw some of his music being widely played, such as “Tough To Say” or “The Beholder” from the EPs “Unnecessary” and “Not The End But a Change”, both released on Soma, or “Jack and Verge” from the collaborative EP with Nørbak “I Will Guide Thy Hand”, released on Modularz. João describes himself as a nerd for audio processing, composing techniques and solving puzzles in the pursuit of the perfect mix. His background in Jazz, a Degree in Sound and a Master Degree in Music and Technology gave him the tools for the unorthodox experiments he takes in the studio. It is fair to say that Temudo is one the Portuguese Techno main characters.Their RA profile lists Soma Records, Synewave, Impact Mechanics, Suara and 6 more.often with Ignez, Justine Perry, Paula Koski, none of them here that night

André Galluzzi has been a vinyl DJ for 25 years. With residencies at TRESOR, OSTGUT and BERGHAIN and releases on labels like CADENZA; COCOON, OSTGUT TON and HIGHGADE, the co-founder of TAKSI Rec. and label head of ARAS can look back at quite a history. Born in 1973 in Frankfurt, Germany, André becomes dedicated to the fascinating world of rhythm early on. Working as a bartender in a club he gets the chance to fill in for the DJ at sweet 14 - an experience that changes the course of his life. Excelling behind the decks, he is a regular in a variety of clubs by the beginning of the 90`s. In 1994 he starts working for the renowned record distributor Neuton, where he meets PAUL BRTSCHITSCH. One year later André and Paul found the label TAKSI. Becoming a resident at Berlin’s famous TRESOR in 1996, André moves to the German capital. With the opening of OSTGUT, the parent club of well-known BERGHAIN, he lands his second residency. After the OSTGUT closing in 2001 André releases the legendary Mix Compilation ANDRÉ GALLUZZI: IM GARTEN and creates a new event series called SUBMERGE, running for two years. Famed for his intoxicating 10-hour sets and playing regularly at AMNESIA, IBIZA, André finds his place at the newly opened BERGHAIN. In 2005 he takes up a studio cooperation with GUIDO SCHNEIDER resulting in various releases on CADENZA, COCOON or HIGHGRADE, including their favored track ALBERTINO in 2007. Looking for a new playground, André establishes the label ARAS in 2011; a platform for him and up-coming talents to broadcast innovative and unconventional sounds. The same year André releases his third mix compilation STADT STRAND FLUSS, followed by joint productions with DANA RUH on OSTGUT-TON and COCOON. One year later André launches the party event WE PLAY VINYL, a statement of dedication and support for vinyl records. Taking inspiration from his second home base London, he creates several productions for CADENZA, COCOON and BAR 25 in 2013. In January 2015 he released his debut solo album ALCTRAZ on ARAS. “Where words fail, music speaks.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Where words fail, music speaks. Reserved and solitary, Léa found refuge in music since her childhood. Jazz, soul music or French chansons, family moments usually came and still come hand in hand with music and sharing the joint, somewhat meditative listening experience. An ardent curiosity for Electronic Music started rising in her highschool days, pushing her towards broadening the musical horizon and consequently DJing in parallel to her fashion and design studies. After a few years of exploring parties in Germany and Paris, she co-founded Spectrum Waves in 2017 - a parisian LGBTQ+ collective with tolerance, diversity, freedom, parity and respect at its core. The collective hosts events at Station Gare des Mines, a rehabilitated industrial wasteland and former railway station, to provide a safer space for minority communities, where freedom of expression is lived in all thinkable forms. Through its lineups and podcasts channel, Spectrum highlights emerging French and international DJs and producers. Léa is also at the forefront of promoting women in the Parisian electronic scene. Further commitments go as far as donating parts of the Spectrum earnings to different associations close to her heart such as aid to migrants and refugees, LGBTQIA+ associations or the fight against HIV. Through her collective, she has managed to create a perfect balance between her own desires, ambitions and her fundamental values. Name the unnameable, communicate the unknowable. Spectrum Waves also vastly helped shaping Léa’s musical comprehension and appreciation of Techno as an outlet, which is able to create the same meditative listening experience and togetherness she feels when listening to music with her family. Her sets stand out for their sharp selection and absolute coherence. A mental, groovy Techno fueled by organic, tribal elements – widely reverberating in its uniqueness and class. The creation of an intimate atmosphere and cohesion in each of her sets makes them stand out, equally so does the implementation of feelings and emotions while at the same time following a rather minimalistic approach in the music itself. A real digger at heart, she has a very wide range of styles and tempos, from techno to micro house, minimal, deep, or ambient - she knows how to adapt and read energies, giving what's needed at the right moment. Pornceptual, Eerste Cie, Power Dance Club or Meat free… Playing for collectives that match her values and commitments is crucial. She performs in renowned clubs and festivals such as Berghain, Tresor, Club Raum, De School, Bassiani, Basement NYC, Fold, Le Sucre, ∄ Kyiv, Awakenings, Dekmantel, Fusion, Whole Festival to name a few. Rooted in the golden lineage of NYC’s queer nightlife, Tom Peters carries forward the legacy of legends. Veras timeless music selection, a subtle mixing style and her authentic, elegant appearance behind the decks impressed clubbers and promoters all around the globe. Constantly evolving and picking up impulses, she follows her intuition rather then trends and she keeps surprising with unexpected sets. Veras media are her vinyls, that she’s choosing from an extended record collection. For her it’s all about the story a DJ is telling and the ambience being created, not about genres or playing one big tune after the other. Each gig she prepares passionately, imagining and selecting the right music for each place she's visiting. Her roots reach back to the golden age of techno and house- the early 90’s. Two decades of experience behind the decks turned her into a routined DJ, that is booked in numerous places all over the world. Since 2004 she has been a resident DJ at the Robert Johnson Club in Offenbach. As a producer Vera released music on respected labels like Perlon, Oslo, Hello? Repeat - solo works as well as collaborations with Ricardo Villalobos, Federico Molinari and with Maayan Nidam, under the moniker Mara Trax. “Bell Towers is no stranger to the night.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Bell Towers is no stranger to the night. Moving curiously through dance music as a DJ and producer since 2009, BT has had four years of fun with cult Melbourne party Bamboo Musik (RIP); a successful relocation to the Northern Hemisphere (finally landing in Berlin) and gigs all over the world; a long-standing NTS residency and dibs on the name ‘Dance Music Show’; an ever-evolving discography; and credits for show music at New York, Paris, London and Shanghai Fashion Weeks that has further shaped his musical sensibility. BT’s DJ sets flirt with 4/4 basement house, flimsy synthetic pop, cheap and chic funk, and emotional sunrise burnouts. He connects the dots and gives the floor his own idiosyncratic interpretation of ‘dance music history’. You might’ve heard the tracks the first time around, but the point here is that you haven’t heard them played like this. In his eight years as an artist/producer — an output he self-describes as “file under 12”, intentionally laconic — BT has wriggled on various shades of house, 80s influenced pop and sample disco, released across respected labels like Public Possession, Internasjonal and Cocktail D’amore – the latter also being an infamous party series now serving his DJ skills as a regular new home. No two of his eleven singles sound the same, but there’s a long-play LP on the way that’ll make these styles stick like an entry stamp to your wrist on a Monday morning.Their RA profile lists Permanent Vacation, Internasjonal, Cocktail D'Amore, Unknown to the Unknown and 2 more.often with Desirée Falessi, Mr Sian, Felix Dickinson, none of them here that night

the whole biography
Budino is an Italian DJ and producer who has been based in Berlin since 2012. Every free moment is devoted to digging for new music and exploring fresh ways to weave her discoveries together. Her sets unfold like psychedelic tapestries, blending industrial beats, tribal percussion, and rich sonic textures. Over the years, Budino has refined her craft through unique edits and reworks that bring new life and versatility to the rare gems she tirelessly unearths. After a decade playing Berlin’s most iconic queer dance floors, her deep connection with New York City led her to being part of the Gloria Danger parties. “Michel Amato's contribution to electronic music can barely be overstated.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Michel Amato's contribution to electronic music can barely be overstated. As The Hacker, and under different aliases, he has inspired generations of dance music fans and artists. He continues to perform at the very top of his game, constantly evolving and challenging himself with boundary-pushing projects. Coming from the French city of Grenoble, Amato spent his younger years absorbing futuristic Techno sounds from Detroit, bands like Depeche Mode, New Order, Kraftwerk and Front 242, as well as Italo Disco and Acid House. Given the breadth of his influences, it’s no surprise Amato's own discography defies simple definition, covering a wide range of styles in the years since his first release in 1996. Traversing zeitgeists, Amato had a Techno phase, dipped into EBM, sci-fi tinged Electro and New Wave, but is perhaps most famous as a founding father of Electroclash. Peaking at the turn of the millennium, Electroclash fused technoid rhythms with humorous punk and synth-pop sensibilities. Amato met a kindred spirit in Miss Kittin and together they became of one the most iconic duos in electronic music. Her vocals proved the perfect match for his productions, lending them a certain accessibility and new found audience. Kittin's deadpan delivery brought flair to Electroclash hits such as ‘Champagne’ (1998) and ‘Frank Sinatra’ (2000); DJ Hell released the tracks, as well as numerous other Hacker & Kittin productions, on his seminal International Deejay Gigolo imprint. Managing to incorporate elements of popular music without ever sacrificing their authenticity, Amato and Miss Kittin sold hundreds of thousands of records and gained worldwide recognition. In 2004, Amato released his most well-recieved album to date, ‘Rêves Mécaniques’. Largely a solo record, it was a return to the more eerie and edgy, instrumental sound he had pursued in his early years. The album showed that, in the right hands, even this ice-cold, ravy, Acid sound was fit for the charts. The years since wtinessed Amato put out a wide array of his own club mutations, whilst working on remixes, a DVD containing interviews and live footage, mix CDs and his label GoodLife. Today, he is as in-demand as ever. A highly-acclaimed LP, ‘Le Théâtre Des Opérations’, on Dark Entries in 2017 recalled the tough sound of his early works but with more modern production and fresh ideas. The currently thriving, young Electro and EBM underground consider Amato as a master of his craft and many of his older tracks are becoming classics. He has drawn the attention from tastemakers like Helena Hauff, Erol Alkan and Veronica Vasicka for contributions to their labels, released a new collaboration with Miss Kittin and been commissioned to remix both Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode and DJ Hell. In the live and DJ environment, Amato is as revered as he is on record. His set up has taken many forms over the years, largely centred around classic hardware such as the Korg MS 20, the Roland TR 808 and SH 101. His new live project (called ‘Amato’) is a 100% analog, return to his roots that has been presented at venues and festivals such as Dekmantel, Berghain, Nuits Sonores and Off Sonar. It’s a testament to the consistently high quality of Amato’s work and his visionary nature that he remains such a well-respected pillar of electronic music, with his timeless musical innovations continuing to rock dance floors worldwide.Their RA profile lists International DeeJay Gigolo Records, Turbo Recordings, Mental Groove, Different and 6 more.often with 20h OHM, EXTRA, 23h Tresor, none of them here that night
