BLUME, rooted in South America’s electronic music scene, has found a second home in Europe. After five formative years in Amsterdam, she now resides in Berlin, drawn to its raw artistic energy. In 2019, BLUME established Format Wars, an evolving platform spanning record curation, pop-ups, listening sessions, and forward-thinking music events. As a DJ and producer, her approach is fluid and exploratory, moving between ambient, leftfield electronics, half-time rhythms, and deconstructed club music. Her tracks and sets are shaped less by genre than by texture, tension, and atmosphere, balancing weight and intensity with fragile, ghostly detail. BLUME’s music flows between eerie ambient, broken rhythms, and the freeform energy of contemporary techno. Weaving brass samples recorded by herself, polyrhythms, glitch textures, jungle influences, and non-linear percussion, she explores tempo and sonic space through an open-ended approach to composition and storytelling.
