Denise Rabe´s experience in the Berlin techno scene as a booker, radio host, promoter and dj since she relocated to German capital drawn by the possibility of a life in music, is reflected in the pragmatic, grounded artist she became and the unique, original voice she's developed as a producer. Her approach and work ethic can be seen expressed on every release she's done under her label, Rabe, where her music is matched with an equal amount of care, thought and work, in the vessels that contain it, within a coherent aesthetic and vision that informs music, artwork and presentation equally. This has allowed her to recruit the artist who´s work resonates with her sensibility and can be heard in the remixes Rrose, Shxcxchcxsh, Headless Horseman, among others, have done for her releases on her and other labels. Imprints such as Mutewax, who released her first 12" in 2015, ARTS where she quickly became one of the label´s staples and Stroboscopic Artifacts where she published "Manifesto" in 2019, are clear reference points that describe her career and its development. Rabe’s particular inclination to sparse industrial soundscapes, gothic aesthetics, driven grooves under hooks that hypnotize as much as they distinguish, have propelled her 10 year career across stages all over the US, Asia and Europe, as well as the clubs that represent the apex of techno world wide such as Berghain and Tresor.Their RA profile lists Soma Records, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Illegal Alien Records, Diffuse Reality and 6 more.Recently at Berghain, KREUZWERK, RSO.BERLIN · often with Berghain, Ignez, Franziska Berns, none of them here that night

Kangding Ray’s complex sound aesthetic tests boundaries, evolving tirelessly in its exploration of texture, rhythm, and sound design. KR has remixed artists such as Martin Gore and Ben Frost on Mute, Battles on Warp, Oscar Mulero on Polegroup or Inigo Kennedy on Token. Letellier’s foundations in rock and musique concrete give his music a vitality and uniqueness that has won fans the world over, from discerning avant-garde–electronica listeners, all the way to devoted clubbers. Those who have been following Letellier since his debut album, 2006’s Stabil, will recognize not only his meticulous and constantly developing approach to sound design, but also the conceptual gravity behind his releases. Through a string of recent EP’s and albums, culminating with the critically acclaimed “Solens Arc”, KR showed his ability to keep his artistic approach while delivering direct and powerful club-leaning tracks and darkly cinematic soundscapes. On 2015’s “Cory Arcane”, he pushed the limits of his sound even further. Relinquishing standard rhythmic structures and conventional tonal models, he delivered what is perhaps his most sophisticated release yet; a raw and visceral universe, allowing a more fluid dialogue between soul and machines. 2017’s “HYPER OPAL MANTIS” released on Stroboscopic Artefacts heralds a new era for Kangding Ray, where he explores the tension between the natural and artificial, the body and mind, which are central themes in electronic music in general, and Techno in particular. The means of creation, focused around technology and interactions with machines, contrast with the emotional response to sound, the mystical ritual of collective dancing, and the ethos of liberation and tolerance embedded in the culture it has produced. As he describes it himself in a recent interview : “I’ve been evolving since a couple of years at the outer fringes of the club culture, where it overlaps with different experimental and avant-garde genres. While i intend to continue to explore that zone as a free maverick, i also wanted to give something back to the scene, something strong, beautiful and functional at the same time, while retaining enough personality to be exciting.” ( Adapted from words by Vincent Morris)Their RA profile lists Mute Records, Warp Records, Raster-Noton, Token and 6 more.Recently at RSO.BERLIN, Berghain, Dark Matter Berlin · often with Ne/Re/A, Berghain, Decoder, none of them here that night

“Mareena's deep connection with electronic music began in her early teenage years in East Germany, where she experienced the quaking rise of techno.”

Mareena's deep connection with electronic music began in her early teenage years in East Germany, where she experienced the quaking rise of techno. Growing up amidst youth club culture and underground parties in abandoned buildings, she was shaped by the no-nonsense, freedom-oriented spirit of the post-communist era. But it was when she moved to Berlin in 2004, that she started DJing, and the city and its vigorous nightlife contributed immensely to her understanding as an artist. Musically spoken, her roots branch deep into the spirit and sound of dub techno and pre and early 2000s techno productions. Adding to this foundation, Mareena has developed a statement sound characterized by rhythmic, lively, and non-linear beats that create an unrelenting flow of energy on the dancefloor. This foundation has earned a long-standing residency (since 2012) in the techno institution Tresor, which stands for a similar ethos. Authentic, but always evolving. Her ability to include hard and elegant elements into her vinyl-oriented sets has led her to play at renowned clubs across the globe - Berghain, De School, Faust Seoul or for the Bunker New York events. Mareena brings that club spirit also to life at the festivals she played, ranging from the cutting edge Up To Date Festival to ravier happenings like the Third Room and not to forget her ambient appearances like at Mostra Barcelona. As opposites are necessary to create balance and harmony, another facet of Mareena’s DJing is the subtle and evocative touches of her ambient sets. Mindfulness, slowing down and the art of contemplation are equally important to Mareen than the dancefloor euphoria. This has led her to found the event series, podcast and label UNRUSH in 2016. Unrush focuses on different hues of ambient music and therefore likes to be a counterpoint to today's fast-paced society. Mareena's career extends beyond DJing into production, too. Productions, that celebrate her love of synthesizers and don't stick to any of the classic genre boxes. So far, Mareena has released on labels like Muzan Editions, Tresor, and her imprint, Unrush. Her collaborative album with JakoJako, "Atlas Der Gedanken," is dedicated to different shades of ambient that make the listener reflect inwards and gaze outwards simultaneously through its organic and electronic touches. Mareena's credibility and authenticity, paired with a daring style, make her a key presence in today’s electronic music culture and carry its spirit forward.Their RA profile lists Tresor, Unrush and Muzan Editions.Recently at Berghain, Tresor / Globus, HHV.de Store · often with Berghain, Kerrie, Beatrice, none of them here that night
“Sourced from Latin American basements or snatched from Europe's most suburban warehouses, many of the records from Diamin's collection didn't yet get a proper chance to react with dancefloors.”

Sourced from Latin American basements or snatched from Europe's most suburban warehouses, many of the records from Diamin's collection didn't yet get a proper chance to react with dancefloors. She trades in unrealized, potent dreams and highly reactive substances trapped in vinyl. Her interest in biology turns this experience into something organic & communal, a sort of world-building in real time, where every record is treated with curiosity and care – & it seems to work for dancers and radio shows alike. It's akin to a springboard that Diamin uses to bounce off in different, adjustable directions. Serviervorschlag: queer-coded new wave acts, highly ambitious IDM, encyclopedic psychedelia, usually topped with acid of the deeper, unforgiving kind. Though based on friction between those ingredients, no matter what style you come from, there's room for you to dance and to grow. Diamin has played at venues like Berghain, Bassiani, Tresor, De School, Rex, C12, RSO, among others, and has been featured on platforms such as Boiler Room, NTS Radio, Dekmantel Show x Red Light Radio, Groove Mag, The Ransom Note, Crack Magazine, Inverted Audio, and more. Currently, she is a resident at Mutant Radio (Tbilisi), where she hosts a bi-monthly show. Diamin also occasionally collaborates with queer/LGBTQ+ collectives like Maricas (Barcelona), PLU (Bristol), and Lacura (La Plata). In addition to her personal project, Diamin co-directs a vinyl label called Tecnologías Elementales, which is set to release its third record this year with distribution by One Eye Witness.Recently at arkaoda Berlin, RSO.BERLIN, Sameheads · often with Sound Metaphors Djs, Paty Vapor, Vlada, none of them here that night
