Not your typical techno/house act, Branko and Niklas, alias Hidden Empire, have established a sound signature at once abstract and alluringly dynamic over the years, gathering momentum through a handful of quality releases for an array of international labels. Since the drop of their first records back in 2015, Branko and Niklas have been championing a sound both genuinely turned towards the club while allowing themselves to explore into further adventurous territories – from dreamy, cosmic excursions to a versatile arsenal of foundation-shaking EBM cuts, via exotic detours and back to the classic, floor-focused programming that flows through all of their ambitious, stadium-sized output. As a founding member of the legendary quartet Kombinat100, Molle aka Mollono.Bass is a well known face within the scene since quite some time. His deep passion for electronic music caused the foundation of Acker Records in 2006, which he leads as its mastermind, as well as the launch of 3000° Records in 2008. And that’s still not enough: The always cheerful dude from the north-eastern German state of Mecklenburg is also involved in the projects Rundfunk3000 and Eulenhaupt & Mollenhauer. Behind the turntables as well as live, Mollono.Bass presents minimal Techhouse beats which directly aim the dance floor and therefore always contain a proper portion of bounce. The efficiency of his grooves has been proved by various successful productions and remixes on Acker and Ostwind Records. Also, Molle’s talent has already been smelled beyond the herring pond, a collaboration with Los Angeles resident Absurd Records will present a series of his tracks. Like already known from his productions for Kombinat100, Mollono.Bass embeds warm, groovy and driving drum sets into a dubby, harmonic and emotional soundscape. His organic tunes with a touch of atmospheric sounds take the listener on a journey through time and space. Who does not feel like dancing when listening to this music, should probably just stay at home! Als Gründungsmitglied des legendären Quartetts Kombinat100 ist Molle aka Mollono.Bass schon seit einer ganzen Weile ein bekanntes Gesicht der Szene. Seine innige Leidenschaft für elektronische Musik führte 2006 zur Gründung des Labels Acker Records, hinter dem er als führender Kopf steht, sowie im Jahre 2008 zur Eröffnung von 3000° Records. Damit nicht genug: Auch in den Projekten Rundfunk3000 und Eulenhaupt & Mollenhauer mischt der stets gut gelaunte Mecklenburger im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes kräftig mit. Mit seinem Solo Projekt präsentiert Mollono.Bass live und an den Turntables minimale Techhouse Beatz, die für den Dancefloor konzipiert sind und somit ordentlich nach vorne gehen. Das beweisen eine Vielzahl erfolgreicher Veröffentlichungen auf Acker und Ostwind Records. Und auch jenseits des großen Teichs hat man sein Talent bereits gewittert, im Zuge einer Zusammenarbeit mit dem in Los Angeles ansässigen Absurd Records erscheint dort eine Reihe seiner Werke. Wie schon in seinen Produktionen mit Kombinat100, bettet Mollono.Bass warme, groovige und treibende Drumsets in ein dubbiges, harmonisches und emotionales Klanguniversum. Deep House, Minimal House, Tech House: Genres, die den Sound von Leeni ganz gut beschreiben. Und doch bleiben diese Bezeichnungen auf der ständig in Bewegung befindlichen Oberfläche. Darunter, also im Kern, lässt sich das, was Leeni als DJ und Produzentin macht, am besten so beschreiben: Good Vibes. Denn wenn sie im Staub eines sommerlichen Festivalnachmittags auf der Bühne steht, dann hört sich das ganz anders an, als wenn sie für das dunkelbunte Treiben einer Afterhour verantwortlich ist. Anfühlen tut es sich trotz aller Andersartigkeit aber überraschend gleich: Freundlich. Geprägt wurde Leeni sowohl auf den Partys und Festivals ihrer Heimat Mecklenburg-Vorpommern als auch in den Clubs und auf den Umsonst & Draußen Raves ihrer jetzigen Wahlheimat Berlin. So mag es sich erklären, dass ihr warmer, körperbetonter Sound großstädtisch und auf Höhe der Zeit daherkommt, aber immer auch mit einem ganz eigenen, erfrischend unerwarteten Twist. Ob Solo oder zusammen mit Danilo Kupfernagel: Mittlerweile ist Leeni als DJ über Landesgrenzen hinweg geschätzt und gefragt.
