    their own biography

    the whole biography
DJ Plant Texture, born Donato Basile in Bari, Southern Italy, is an electronic music producer, DJ, and former record store owner whose work blends raw rhythmic intensity with deep emotional resonance. Active since the early 2000s under various aliases including Dona, A662, and DJ PT, he is best known for his genre-defying productions that fuse techno, breakbeat, jungle, acid, footwork, and ambient into a singular, highly percussive sonic identity. Growing up in Bari, Dona developed a passion for rhythm and electronic hardware early on. As a drummer in his youth, his deep connection with rhythm became a defining characteristic of his work. He began experimenting with music production using an MPC in the early 2000s—a tool that remains central to his workflow today. His approach to music-making is instinctive and highly physical, often rooted in live jamming sessions and real-time manipulation of hardware, rather than meticulous programming. Basile’s entry into the underground techno and experimental scenes was marked by a series of releases on respected labels such as Crème Organization, Ilian Tape, and Tresor Records. His breakout came with a string of EPs that caught the attention of techno connoisseurs for their fearless blending of styles and lo-fi grit. Over the years, he has cultivated a raw but melodic sound that balances chaos and control, drawing equally from the legacy of 90s rave culture and the textural experimentation of IDM. In April 2025, DJ Plant Texture released his debut EP on the legendary Berlin - based label Tresor, titled Life. This release marked a significant moment in his career, not only for its prestigious platform but for its deeply personal thematic content. The EP explores themes of self-awareness, anxiety, and the emotional weight of transitioning into adulthood. Beyond the studio, Basile also played a central role in his local scene by founding and running EXP Records (R.I.P.), a record store in Bari that became a meeting point for local producers and DJs. This space not only connected people through vinyl but also helped foster a community and exchange of ideas in Southern Italy's underground music culture. The store has had a lasting impact on his artistic perspective, informing both the nostalgic and forward- looking elements of his work. Whether behind the decks or behind his machines, DJ Plant Texture continues to challenge expectations and defy easy categorization. His work is marked by a deep respect for the history of electronic music, filtered through a very personal lens—one shaped by inner struggles, local roots, community, and a constant desire to push forward. As of 2026, he remains a vital force in the European electronic underground, with a growing international following and a reputation for delivering sets and releases that are both cerebral and dancefloor-ready.
Their RA profile lists Tresor, Crème Organization, Ilian Tape, Mistress Recordings and 4 more.

    their own biography

    the whole biography
His career, spanning over 25+ years, has seen Steve grow from his early beginnings as a young promoter and resident DJ to one of the UK’s most established, accomplished and respected techno artists credited by many as a true pioneer. After earning his stripes with residencies at some of the UK’s most influential events such as Energy (Orbital raves), ID Magazine’s 1990 World Tour, The Wag Club, Solaris, The Brain, and The Zap Steve would go onto launch his own night LOST alongside Sheree Rashit. Since its induction to the present day LOST has stood as one of the UK’s most innovative and scene-defining events marking the debut performances from some of dance music’s most uncompromising and inventive creators. Aside from his huge success as a promoter Steve also produced under the name LOST between the years 1990-1992. He would then launch his own label Cosmic Records, also co-run with Rashit, and a new musical direction was found. From the first label three more imprints followed; LOST Recordings that focused solely on the sounds of LOST’s dancefloor, Clubtracks, specialising in more Chicago house-sounding productions, and ID(entity) created to release hidden aliases’ of well-established artists affiliated with the Cosmic label and LOST nights. When it comes to Steve Bicknell’s productions it’s no doubt he embodies the true essence of straight to the point, no-nonsense techno characteristics he fluidly translates into his DJ sets. Reflecting on Steve’s earliest work it is clear after stepping back from producing in the mid 2000’s he was still able to maintain the same relentless energy and curiosity yet honing and evolving it into something fresh and current upon his return in 2013. Equipped with neoteric ideas, in 2016 Steve launched his latest imprint 6dimensions. The label has played host to both his own and other influential artists productions. He describes the imprint as being “an exploration into balance and imbalance of the human mind’s natural make-up of love, fear, joy, hatred, boredom and sexuality”. Furthermore, in 2017 the techno supergroup LSD was formed alongside friends Luke Slater and David Sumner. Their debut release, “Process”, landed on Ostgut Ton which they described in their own words as ‘lysergic machine music’. Since then the trio has performed regularly with notable shows at the likes of ADE, Berghain and Dekmantel Festival to name a few. 2019 sees the trio returning with new releases and even more shows. With a compelling selection of new music coming out over the course of 2019 and his return to the road, Steve seems to be more relevant than ever before. With his second to none experience in promoting events, performing as a DJ to producing in the studio alone or with friends on top of his mission to continue to create, explore and experiment its looking like Steve Bicknell is unstoppable.
Their RA profile lists Soma Records, novamute, Ostgut Ton, Tresor and 6 more.

    the whole biography
Born from a Dutch classical singer/pianist player and a Congolese percussionist drummer, it comes as no surprise that the art of playing music literally runs through her veins. Her mostly vinyl sets are 90's UK/US/DE inspired, supported by strong percussion, rhythms and a spiritual touch. Always aiming to engage in a conversation with her crowd, dancing to her sets will release that inner gangster gut feeling in you. Body focused, voluptuous house and techno at its best. Doudou MD strongly believes music has the power to heal and serve as a medicine, which is one of the main reasons music has always been at the core of her life. Following her ears and heart when digging for new records, her bag is constantly being re-filled with a rich variety of music. Although the rhythms and genre of her selection may vary, the constant factor is her unmistakable love for every track she lays on the record player. After spending her early (club)years in Utrecht and Amsterdam, surrounded by her forever cherished Slapfunk and VBX brothers, she spent 5 years in Berlin. Here clubs like Berghain, Hoppetosse and Ohm played a big influence on her musical and personal developments. She takes much of her inspiration from artist like Zip, Roman Flügel, Paul Johnson, as well as Steve O’Sullivan and Mr. G. Back in Amsterdam today, never taking the experience of the dance floor lightly, she fine-tuned her view of the ultimate club experience all over the world. Perfecting this craft is a never ending process, making her upcoming gigs all the more interesting for both crowd and artist.

Telephones is renowned as a DJ for his freespirited curveball-mix ranging from balearic tutti- frutti, proto-house and percussion-workouts to cosmic techno, discokraut-gymnastics and outerworldly explorations. Starting with primitive PC-software and DJing in the late 90s, he has since equally focused on production and DJing, now with more than 20 years experience behind decks and knobs. A firm believer in quality over quantity, Telephones has released a sparse, but highly sought after discography on acclaimed underground-lables like Running Back, Sex Tags UFO, Acido, Love On The Rocks and Klasse Wrecks, as well as production work and remixes for legends like José Padilla, Joan Bibiloni and Vangelis Katsoulis to mention some. In 2016 he released his debut album, "Vibe Telemetry" on Running Back, taking his eclecticism and sound one step further, expanding the palette with influences from early Norwegian club-roots, Ambient House, NY House and Disco, 90s UK Balearic, Italo House, Underground Resistance and Detroit Techno. The album received praise and reviews from publications such as XLR8R, Mixmag, iDJ, Future Music, Resident Advisor, DJ Mag and Testpressing. 2019 saw the birth of his new label, European Carryall, kicking off with the archival-series "From The Vaults 1998-2018 Vol 1 & 2", all 12"s selling out within days, and getting both one and two represses. Since then he has followed up with a string of sold out releases ranging from banging house, downtempo hip-hop and breaks-inspired excursions and balearic techno. The recent years has taken Telephones across the globe with frequent tours in Asia, Australia and the Americas, playing in over 35 different countries and as diverse locations as Sao Paulo, Taipei, New York, Mexico City, Hanoi, Tokyo and Melbourne, as well as frequently laying it down on his Berlin/EU home-turf at some of the best underground clubs, such as Berghain/Panorama Bar, Bassiani, Corsica Studios, Griessmuehle, Jaeger and festivals like Love International, Dimensions, Pitch Music and Arts, The Garden and Bahidora.
