Viiaan, producer, record collector, dj and co-founder of Voragine, label and platform under which she promotes the work of artists who work both in the field of experimental electronics, and within the club sound. Although she is unwilling to pin down a specific style to define her work, she is inclined to dark ambient and techno. Her music is a complex and evocative sonic experiment. In her mix-tapes she seamlessly integrates Classic House, Experimental Techno and Drum & Bass, and Breaks. She also draws influence from ambient, industrial and arabic music. Over the last two years her works appeared on compilations like Lowmute and Desembocadura, where she touches on subjects such as migration problems finding inspiration in film, art and literature. She launched her first EP Discromía in 2017 on Maladolescenza and her second EP Shimonoseki at the beginning of January 2020 via SNU. She is currently working on various collaborations and is about to release music on the Uk META MOTO record label, and Extasis Records.Their RA profile lists Voragine, QEONE and Causal Chain.Recently at OHM, Kwia, OXI · often with Brusco, GLOBUS, TRESOR, none of them here that night

“Maque is a multidisciplinary artist who believes in the transformative power of pleasure.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Maque is a multidisciplinary artist who believes in the transformative power of pleasure. Her music and DJ sets are a ride for pleasure and perreo, for dancing pegadito and transforming rage into sweat, joy and sexiness. Born and raised in Bolivia, she started blending cumbia, reggaeton and traditional bolivian music sounds into her choreographic performances, to then start rapping, DJ-ing and producing music. Weaving different genres with a strong bass and dembow, her sound is a hypnotizing pelvic/culo summoning. She played at platforms such as Hoe_mies x Keephush, Listen to Berlin Awards, Metarave, Refuge Worldwide, Kiosk Radio, a.o. Her videoclip C4R4COL, which she directed, was part of the Berlin Video Music Awards 2024. In 2023, Maque co-founded CHOKA together with auto_timer. CHOKA is a party and a platform that aims to amplify sounds from the global south. They received support from Music Board Berlin through their Residency program in Hellerau and recently dropped the party itself. Her EP “Baba” produced with auto_timer and Lisa Kida, is expected to be dropped in January 2025.Their RA profile lists Lustpoderosa.Recently at Badehaus Berlin, Panke, ÆDEN · often with DJ LOUI FROM JUPITER4, Gadutra, PAULAH, none of them here that night
