Ruling dancefloors for about ten years now under their conjunctional moniker Format: B and amazing crowds with their trademark MotorFunk-style Franziskus Sell & Jakob Hildenbrand have come a long way musicwise, even before they started to awe punters and DJs alike with their first releases put on the circuit via labels like Highgrade Recordings, Stil Vor Talent or Opossum Recordings. Both originally coming from a non-electronic background with Jakob starting out playing bass guitar both in Hardcore as well as Jazz and Funk bands whilst Franziskus mastering classical piano lessons soon they were infested by the seductive virus named electronic music in the early and mid 90s. This newly found fascination for a completely different musical environment led the Berlin-based Jacob into his first production efforts with an Atari ST40 + synthesizer set-up whilst Franziskus stepped into the DJ-booth of several clubs of his former East German hometown of Erfurt. Backed by a history like this their paths finally crossed at Berlin's school of audio engineering (SAE), where both of them studied to become sound engineers. Soon their shared love of all things electronic music related was unveiled and after immersing themselves in the cities praised, flourishing nightlife as well as some shared studio time things started to fall into place for them, resulting in a project now known as Format: B which has become one of Germany's most successful electronic acts of the past few years due to a steady string of releases, unique musical vision and an impressive level of consistency provided in the ongoing evolution and progression of their signature MotorFunk sound. From their early works on Highgrade Recordings, Stil Vor Talent or Opossum Recordings including the massive hit „Vivian Wheeler“ via remix works for acclaimed artists like Sébastien Léger, Paul Kalkbrenner, Oliver Koletzki, DJ Madskillz to their groundbreaking 2008 album debut „Steam Circuit“ once again featuring a massive dancefloor smash named „Edding 500“ the Format: B trademark was all over the place and the pair of producers soon found themselves touring the globe, playing Australia, Asia, the US and South America and – of course – Europe where the Berlin-based Watergate Club turned out to be a firm homebase for Format: B throughout the years. Inspired by their skyrocketing success 2009 saw the next logical step in the history of Format: B when the duo teamed up with label manager Hawks Grunert to install their own imprint Formatik Records which has been the exclusive home to all Format: B releases ever since, for their critically acclaimed, forward-thinking sophomore album „Restless“ followed by a triplet of remix singles as well as a string of successful EP's. Taking on the challenge of running a label has not only greatly helped to shape and define the Format: B identity and brand on a global scale but also enabled them to prove A&R abilities beyond production skills with a series of signings from their ever expanding network including fellow Berliners Daniel Steinberg and Pan-Pot, Amsterdam's Sebastien Leger and DJ Madskillz, Italy's Uto Karem and Hugo or the new talent Tobi Kramer who has been making some waves with his label debut lately. This impressive artist roster combined with a strong visual identity and Format: B's impellent MotorFunk-sound usually being on the more technoid side of TechHouse and sporting heavy basslines alongside a supersolid foundation of bassdrums has turned Formatik Records into one of the scenes leading electronic imprints of this time, spearheaded by one of the most successful electronic duos of today that has still a lot more in store for its global fanbase.Their RA profile lists Craft Music, Stil vor Talent, Highgrade Records, Material and 6 more.Last at Ritter Butzke in Dec 2025 · often with Niconé, Dominik Eulberg, Super Flu, none of them here that night

An exciting adventure, a project where two German friends –Christian and Fabio- began by holding a party in Hamburg (Baumhaus at famous Reeperbahn) and now it has become an unbounded creativity and scope duo with the purposed to make us spinning with their particular ‘Techno With Drama’ doctrine. The duo represent a generation of DJ/Producers who don’t need to attend to any musical rules, just carve in their main passion and provide a fresh listening to the techno circuit audience. Heady, inspired and hypnotic sounds to techno’s always vibrant culture. Demanding people, no doubt! The Boys recently joined Adam Beyer’s „DRUMCODE“ and released one of the biggest Techno Tracks of the Year: „Dark Clouds“. Earning the #1 on Beatport and huge support from the whole scene, this track is truly the summer anthem of 2023. Although they have released first-class music on top-notch labels such as Filth On Acid or Terminal M, their current real aim is to continue conquering the worldwide clubbing field with their own imprint TRAGEDIE. They are ready -and more than ever before by having full creative control- to explore, elevate and display their fine-tuned signature sound to the next level. “Excellence is never an accident… choice, not chance, determines your destiny.” Aristotle, Greek, philosopher)Their RA profile lists Drumcode, Stil vor Talent, Terminal M, Suara and 5 more.Recently at Kulturkosmos Müritz e.V., Ritter Butzke · often with Nakadia, Dr. Motte, Tommahawk, none of them here that night

With over 100 releases and remixes on acclaimed labels such as MoBlack, Dessous, Poker Flat, Crosstown Rebels, Stil vor Talent, Systematic, Bunny Tiger, Katermukke, Bar 25 Music, and Ritter Butzke, his prolific output cements his status as a house music innovator. Phonique's career catapulted to fame in 2004 with the iconic club anthems “The Red Dress” and “For the Time Being”. However, it was his timeless hit “Feel What You Want” from his 2010 album – amassing over 50 million views on YouTube – that solidified his global reputation. His four critically acclaimed albums showcase his evolving sound, diverse influences, and profound intuition for igniting dance floors worldwide. In July 2022, Phonique launched his label Zatar Music, debuting with a Korolova remix of “Feel What You Want.” The label highlights his melodic and Afro-Arabic house inspirations, drawing from his travels to countries like Jordan, Ukraine, and Armenia. With releases from artists such as Fairplay, Roo, Nilu, and Gui Boratto, Zatar Music embodies Phonique’s adventurous sonic vision. Remixes by Hyenah, Korolova, Gorje Hewek, and others have earned Zatar tracks spots in Black Coffee’s Spotify playlist and Adriatique’s iconic Cercle set. 2022 also marked Phonique’s residency at Berlin’s renowned club Ritter Butzke, following his debut release on their label. Playing alongside international stars like Korolova and Franky Wah, Phonique continues to inspire with his electrifying performances. As “Identification”, his debut album, approached its 20th anniversary, Phonique is planning a special release featuring acoustic reinterpretations and fresh remixes of classics like “For the Time Being feat. Erlend Oye” and “Café Monte Carlo feat. Dixon”. This milestone reaffirms his ability to revisit and reinvent his own legacy. An unexpected highlight in 2024 was the resurgence of “Feel What You Want” in its slowed version, trending on Shazam charts in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan, and peaking at #15 on the global Shazam charts. This momentum inspired an upcoming “All Mixes” release on Zatar Music, featuring remixes from Korolova, Vintage Culture, Bruno Be, Tom Novy, Aka Aka, and a highly anticipated new version by Ukrainian duo Artbat. From his trailblazing productions to his residencies and label endeavors, Phonique remains a driving force in house music, pushing boundaries while staying true to the genre’s essence.Their RA profile lists Poker Flat Recordings, Buzzin Fly, Dessous Recordings, Moodmusic and 6 more.Recently at Weekend, Renate, Ritter Butzke · often with The Michelins, Misha Svirid, Romanova, none of them here that night

“Mehr is Mehr We wish everyone would have more trust in themselves.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Mehr is Mehr We wish everyone would have more trust in themselves. More courage to leave their comfort zones. Fewer doubts and sorrows. More moments when our inner child takes over, more carefreeness, more tears of joy. But most of all: Mehr is Mehr! This may sound cheesy, but when Vera and Rosalie first met in 2013, it felt like destiny from the get go. They clicked, became partners in crime and went on a two-year journey to discover Berlin's Techno scene - always on the lookout for the next rave, and always front row with the beat in their hearts and their eyes locked on the DJ console. They didn’t even bother resisting Techno's allure and soon bought a cheap old controller to learn the alchemy that is djaying. After a while they began performing at birthday parties among their cirle of friends. One night the old controller crashed, so, with sweaty palms and shiny eyes, they scraped together their savings and purchased a brand new unit. In hindsight that was the point in time when Mehr is Mehr came to be. Just a few months later they had their first Berlin club gig. Soon after Nicorus started his Techno/Psy event series „Les enfants d’la cave“ and invited them to become part of his crew. The following years were a crazy ride. Mehr is Mehr got booked by clubs like Watergate, Kater Blau, Moloch and many many more. Also their biggest dream: spinning the wheels at Hammahalle of the notorious Sisyphos club came true! Fun fact: Hammahalle was the place, where Mehr is Mehr coined their name during the early days. But they weren't just playing at clubs - plenty of festivals such as Château Perché, Bucht der Träumer and Wilde Möhre began filling their summers. Since 2017 Mehr is Mehr is part of the Wuza crew, which organizes parties all over Europe. In May 2018 the booking agency Soupherb took them on. There’s still no end in sight, as you may suspect: Mehr is Mehr. https://www.facebook.com/mehrismehr/ https://soundcloud.com/mehrismehrberlin https://www.instagram.com/mehrismehr/ gigs.gigatools.com/u/mehrismehrRecently at Hoppetosse, Ritter Butzke, Kater · often with JUSTICE (DE), Ele Luz, ZweiE, none of them here that night

Whether playing in clubs around the world such as Berghain/Panorama Bar and Watergate or Sisyphos and Ritter Butzke in Berlin, Hive Club Zurich, Baum in Bogotá and Glow Bangkok or producing his own tracks for respected labels like Upon. You Records, Smiley Fingers, Voltage Musique and Ballroom Records, Stiller’s technique is deep in character, an outward-reaching combination of techno and techhouse with his trademark funk-tinged basslines. Born in the sunny seaside town of Rostock, Germany, Gunnar Stiller found a change of scenery when his family moved to Berlin in the early 80s. Moving to such a beautifully chaotic, adventurous city was a key factor in shaping his musical perspective, and with the purchase of his well loved (and now worn out) turntables in the late 90s, he took his first step into a professional artistic career as DJ and producer. In 2003 while working as manager for Berlin-based event agency No Ufos, Gunnar found himself in the heart of a perfect playground to gain insight and develop his own style, which at the time was focused on deep house, breaks and electro. Inspired by those around him such as Steve Bug, Matthias Tanzmann and Martin Landsky, Stiller quickly began to carve out his own sound that impressed not just the dancers filling the floor but also any promoter and organizer who was paying attention. Pushing himself toward further success, he founded the artist alliance Edelmut in 2004 along with a few of his friends, an endeavor which quickly gained them notoriety as they played in the city’s top clubs like Watergate, Bar25 and later the infamous KaterHolzig , the latter of which invited Gunnar to become a resident DJ, a position he gladly accepted. On top of this, he became a regular player at the legendary HomeSweetHome sessions. His frequent and often lengthy sets (sometimes in excess of 10 hours) allowed him to explore the boundaries between (and beyond) techno and techhouse, creating a dramatic musical landscape that sets him apart from countless other DJs. By 2009 Stiller had formed a solid intuition for exactly what moved listeners’ bodies (and spirits) and began his foray into production. His debut release, the Heideberg EP, and its followup the Manaus Madness EP – both on Voltage Musique – landed directly within the Top 5 German club charts, and Marek Hemmann’s remix of “Manaus Madness” was voted the #10 best remix by dance music authority Groove Magazine’s 2010 readers’ poll. It was around this time that Gunnar joined Upon. You Records as part of their label and booking roster, releasing a lot more EPs and contributing to the acclaimed label compilation Upon. You Diary, which was compiled by himself in 2014. These where followed by collaborations and remix projects with artists like Solomun, AndHim, Layo & Bushwacka!, Alex Niggemann, Danny Serrano, Ray Okpara, Nikola Gala, Larry Cadge, Odd People, Samuel Dan, Nakadia, Dj Le Roi or Loko and more released tracks on labels like Clap Your Hands, Smiley Fingers and Time Has Changed. Meanwhile, Gunnar Stiller’s DJ career picked up exponentially as he established a name for himself outside his native Berlin borders. In the last few years, he has been booked to play at top festivals such as Sonar Festival, Amsterdam Dance Event, Melt! Festival, Fusion Festival and Sonnemondsterne, in clubs throughout Eastern and Western Europe as well as South America, Asia, Australia and Africa, sharing the booth with the likes of Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Craig, Laurent Garnier and Luciano.
