Listening to Alexandra is an unforgettable experience. The love, the euphoria and the energy will imprint in your soul and memories. She’s a brave selector, completely in love with vinyl and driven to unexpected by freedom, emotions and boundless curiosity. That is the accurate description for her radio show, Ears Wide Open at Black Rhino Radio, Bucharest. Alongside the German artist Vera, Alexandra is the co-owner of the Berlin-based electronic music label Melliflow. Together with her husband, DJ Slim Fit she produces music and plays back2back under the project The Apricots, exploring both the ambient, experimental and slower beats realm and the dancefloor-oriented rhythms. Driven by his perpetual curiosity, he boldly navigates through styles and tempos in his creations. His hyper-active nature translates into the energy and vibrations of his DJ mixes. His predilection for breakbeat rhythms, often heard in his tunes, comes from the early bassline driven UK sound of the ‘90s and the rave air of the same intense decade. His songs also cruise into a realm of dreamy and emotional melodies, born out of his reflective journeys into the depths of his soul and his life experiences. As his “poison” is spending every morning making music, he developed great acoustic skills, ruling with confidence the acoustic space in the process of creation of an electronic music track. DJ Slim Fit loves to make any frontiers disappear into an exciting and euphoric cross-genre expedition in both production and the curation of the music to play for the dancefloor. His performances have taken him to events and venues such as Platforma Wolff Bucharest, Control Club Bucharest, Fusion Festival, Waha Festival, Electric Castle Festival, Renate Berlin, Club der Visionaere Berlin, Hoppetosse Berlin, Melliflow Berlin, Ojoo Music Gent, Wildt Praga, Hotel Butterfly Roma, Contact Amsterdam and even Cactus Festival in Egypt. He started very early as a party promoter which he's still doing today with Freebase-Tours in Europe and many other events at Robert Johnson or his "See Us There“ Festival in Offenbach. Meat's career as a producer began, like Einzelkind and Reboot, on the well known labels like Get Physical, Klang, Kindisch, murmur & La Peña. In 2009 Meat & Chris Wood started their collaboration - they are now best friends, studio partners and rave brothers! Together they have released on labels like Desolat, Moon Harbour, Pressure Traxx, Upon You and Tiefschwarz’s Souvenir Label 2017 Chris Wood and Meat moved to the studio of Christian Burkhardt. This new partnership has resulted in the first release for the trio on Jamie Jones's label "Hot Trax" called "Closer 2 U". Chris Wood & Meat still continue to be a well known DJ team playing in clubs around the world along side the big players in the DJ business. Metaverde, also known as Marie Midori, is a Swedish-Japanese artist born and based in Berlin, Germany. Influenced by their multicultural background, metaverde has explored a wide range of creative scenes throughout their life. From producing radio mixtapes in their childhood bedroom at the age of six, to busking around odd corners of the globe as a teenage scout leader, to dropping out of university to become a DJ in their early twenties—music has always been the strongest creative constant amid their ever-shifting interests. Fascinated by sound, the natural world, and the whimsical tales of Japanese anime, Marie enjoys digging between genres in search of pieces that defy easy categorization. The name metaverde—“between green”—directly references their given name Midori, which means “green” in Japanese.
