Born in East Germany to a renowned photographer and a classical musician, she began DJing in 1996 and quickly rose to prominence as part of the growing underground techno scene around Leipzig and Halle/Saale. Her dedication to her craft and natural talent swiftly paid off, leading her to substantially shape the electronic music scene of Eastern Germany from that point on. In 2006, Mira moved to Berlin, Europe’s capital of electronic music, where she found her musical home at the legendary Bar25 and, later, Kater Blau. It was here that Mira rose to fame throughout Europe and the world, becoming a defining representative of a distinctive sound that was going global. Deep and soulful while always maintaining a continuous, sensual groove, Mira’s sprawling, hypnotic sets became the soundtrack for many an endless night. The centerpiece of Mira’s residencies at these clubs has been her yearly birthday event, ‘Katzen Tanzen auf’m Tisch,’ which runs for three days straight every December in Berlin. Curated by Mira from a selection of old friends and new faces, the series has hosted a multitude of then-unknown artists who have since gone on to tour the globe. Alongside these legendary parties, she also hosts the regular ‘Mira invites’ events, where she invites a refined selection of artists to provide the soundtrack to those long Berlin nights. Recently, Mira has been using her careful ear for talent as label curator for the Kiosk I.D. imprint, a relatively new project that perfectly complements her already-established reputation as a vital progenitor of the scene. Sifting through hundreds of demos by new and unknown artists every month, the label has become a central part of her creative practice in recent years as she seeks to push and encourage the upcoming generation of producers. In the studio, Mira often collaborates with her partner-in-crime Christopher Schwarzwälder, and the two have released a host of chart-topping singles. This partnership has since carried over to dancefloors globally, where their legendary back-to-back sets create a perfect musical dialogue between two artists who share a deep understanding and love of sound. Mira has been at the height of her game for the past twenty years, continuously shaping the sounds around her and never ceasing to push and inspire new artists. As happy playing in a small underground club in East Germany in the ’90s as she is playing to thousands of festival-goers at some of today’s biggest festivals, Mira is truly one of those artists who can be said to do it for the love of the music. The Berlin-based Mona Moore is already since the year 2000 passionate lover of electronic music, so it had to come sooner or, as in your case, a little later that she also ventures behind the mixer. Her debut was in "her living room", as she calls the Kater Club in Berlin. Also outside of Berlin Mona Moore is on the road to present her kind of deep groovy and melodic techno to the audience. Meanwhile she is also one of the resident DJ´s of the famous Berlin Club "Kater Blau", curator of her own mix series for Proton (Out of Space and Time) and organizer of the event series "Enorm in Form" . During Pandemic she started producing music and the first track was released in June 2021 together with Stan Starry. This was followed by releases on the labels "Rebellion der Träumer" and "Grey Bar Hotel". Her philosophy when DJing: "Sharing the love for music and forgetting space and time for a few hours through it". Die in Berlin lebende Mona Moore ist schon seit dem Jahr 2000 passionierte Liebhaberin der Elektronischen Musik, so musste es früher oder wie in Ihrem Fall etwas später dazu kommen das sie sich auch mal hinter den Mixer wagt. Coco got his infusion in the nineties. Result: heavily techno addicted. Since then he's a dj and appears as Coco or Coco Berlin. For more than two decades he is celebrating and organising (in cooperation with Empro) his infamous 36-hour party "Betriebsfeier" at Hoppetosse (by CDV) in Berlin, which is known for its unique freedom, true spirit, excellent music and heavy partying. Coco regularly plays Berlin clubs like Sisyphos, Salon zur Wilden Renate, Kater Blau, Goldengate, Watergate and many more. Nowadays he also infects the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Denmark, UK, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia with his charismatic and surprising mental influenced mix of darker Minimal, House, Techno and a touch of Wave and Retro.
