Who they are

the whole biography
(This biographical text was updated in November 2019.) Daniel Wang - the DJ for people who love to dance - and for everyone who loves music for music's sake. Daniel was born in Oakland, California, but spent 8 years of his childhood in Taipei; went to university near New York, and was deeply moved by the house music and the "disco classics" which he heard in the early 1990s at parties with DJs like Tee Scott, Francois Kevorkian, and Danny Krivit. He ended up living in downtown Manhattan from 1994 to 2003 and worked for 5 years at a synthesizer shop there, a job which became a sort of apprenticeship in all things related to the music which he loves. After releasing about ten vinyl 12"s on his own Balihu label, he put to use his newfound knowledge and produced 3 solid EPs for the Environ label of his dear friend Morgan Geist (aka Metro Area & Storm Queen). From that point on, in year 2001, Daniel began to travel and perform much more in Europe and in Japan. He moved to Berlin in 2003, which offered him new chances to learn and to perform for diverse audiences, from the welcoming queer crowds at Horse Meat Disco to festivals in London and Paris, at intimate venues from Tokyo to Helsinki, from Dublin to São Paulo. His DJ sets are well-known for their energetic blend of disco, soul, and old and new house tracks - but most of all for their sheer sense of joy and musicality, and their negation of all that is monotonous and mechanical in the so-called Electronic Dance Music scene of today. Around 2015, Daniel released two personal mix CDs in Japan featuring the back catalogs of New York's definitive disco labels, West End and Salsoul Records. He installed new software and monitor speakers in 2017, completed 2 remixes for the artists Wolfgang Tillmans and Cerrone, and just put out a new 12" under the moniker "S.D.A.P (Some Drums And Pianos)" in late summer of 2019. But most of all, Daniel remains enchanted by the people, the streets, and the nightclubs of Berlin. He can be heard regularly at Schwuz, Wilde Renate, and at his monthly residence at the Paloma Bar in Kreuzberg. Stay tuned to see what comes out of his studio after this long period of nesting and soul-searching in the ultra-hip, ultra-banal, mythical capital city of Germania :-)Their RA profile lists Playhouse, Environ Records, Ghostly International, Balihu and 2 more.Recently at Tausend, Paloma, Bulbul Berlin · often with Disco Gessner, Clark Kent, Paul Older, none of them here that night

Delfonic started his professional DJ career in 2004 and has meanwhile played every single club, shack and party in Berlin, and quite a bit in Germany and Europe too. He is holding two residencies, one weekly at Gretchen (the infamous follow up to the Icon Club) and a monthly one called “deep riot” at Farbfernseher. His residency at Icon/Gretchen led him to play very successful sets alongside internationally acclaimed DJ's as Kaytranada, Coldcut, Amon Tobin, Bonobo, FaltyDL, Jazzanova, Flying Lotus and many more. Markus is also vital in providing (Berlin's) Djs with music via his record store OYE in Prenzlauer Berg and organizing the incredible Berlin record store day once a year (in November). Also he is Label Manager of Box aus Holz, Torben & Money $ex Records, which are related to OYE Records. In addition to that produces music for advertising (with his friend Boris...) but we just got the promise from him, that he will work more on club music from now on too. It´s all about the Groove . . .Their RA profile lists Sonar Kollektiv, BBE, Box aus Holz Records, Razor-N-Tape and 5 more.Recently at Renate, OXI · often with Rollover Djs, Moretz, Anna Schreit, none of them here that night

Hailing from Athens, Hara Katsiki brings a sophisticated sonic palette and perceptive ear to dance floors. Effortlessly sweeping you into the astral, Katsiki entwines her compelling cosmic selections with Italo, Cosmic Disco, Indie-Dance, New Beat, Techno, Synth-Wave and infatuating rarities. She is a member of the Berlin-based label Wrong Era Records, a sub-label from Slow Motion Records and a dependable force within Berlin’s revered scene, which she now calls home. With regular slots at the formidable likes of Panorama bar, Renate, About Blank and KitKat Club, she is a strong figure within the nocturnal city and parties across the globe. Hara is carrying – besides her extrasensory abilities – a Universal understanding about music and like a modern shaman, she is weaving a thread between sound and space-time creating a metagalactic cosmos, bringing a sophisticated sonic palette and perceptive ear to dancefloors. With an impressive, multi-disciplinary past within the creative industries, the former model, stylist and art director channels her abundant passion into intuitive, sensational mixes. It is no mystery that aside from DJing, she is a Quantum Healer. It is clear that Hara delicately weaves this approach into her selections, presenting an enticing and alluring journey mindful of its surroundings. Carefully chosen, warming gems fill her sets which lie within the realms of Balearic, Cosmic and Italo Disco. Katsiki explores the darker side of these genres but is not limited to them, driving you into an encapsulating ethereal experience. As one quarter of Berlin's Automaticamore crew, her heart probably beats fastest for Italo Disco that whisks you back to the Rimini of 1983. She forms the vivid duo Liquid Sky alongside Hara Katsiki, embarking on a journey that explores all spheres of the synth galaxy, pushing the boundaries of sound and creativity. “Niklas Wandt is a percussionist, producer, DJ and radio host .”
their own biography
the whole biography
Niklas Wandt is a percussionist, producer, DJ and radio host . He lives in Berlin, where his eclectic approach is heard most regularly basement club Sameheads - a lush sonic palette with a hypnotic, heavily percussive drive, from tripped out downtempo and afrofunky cosmic sound (think Rimini 1995) to driving progressive and tribal house, trance, warped techno and warming tech house – high energy in smooth, long blends. The impeccable rhythmic feel is a reflection of Niklas’ musical roots in the world of drums - he has cut his teeth playing in hiphop, psychedelic rock and free jazz projects and has been part of a number of projects centered around Salon des Amateurs in Düsseldorf. A wide, open minded range of practices that still feed into his music today - at Salon he forged his musical bond to producer Jan Schulte aka Wolf Müller aka Bufiman. The pair released the acclaimed double LP "Instrumentalmusik von der Mitte der World" in 2018 via Growing Bin Records, whose blissful neo-Balearic sound still makes an impact today. Niklas can be also heard as part of the band Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge (with records on the labels Themes for Great Cities, Bureau B and Lustpoderosa that became underground favorites) and in a duo with veteran producer Sascha Funke (two discs on Multi Culti, a third one on R.A.N.D. Muzik), plus on a string of releases for imprints such as Bureau B, Permanent Vacation, Animals Dancing, Neubau, Warning and Edizioni Mondo/Running Back. His various projects have taken him all across Europe (appearing at festivals like Nuits Sonores, Fusion, Garbicz, Unsound, Dancity), to China, Israel & Palestine, the US, Chile, Peru and Mexico. February 2025 will see the release of “Mineral House Vol. 1”, Niklas’ first collaborative EP with Amsterdam-based producer Retromigration, via the revered Berlin imprint Love on the Rocks. A music journalist, critic and presenter by day, his features, portraits and reviews mostly on jazz and its many branches can be heard regularly on German public radio stations WDR 3, Deutschlandfunk and SWR Kultur.Their RA profile lists Italic, Permanent Vacation, Running Back, Multi Culti and 6 more.Recently at Sameheads, arkaoda Berlin, Kater · often with Marco Ohboy, Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge, BLACK, none of them here that night
