their own biography
the whole biography
Alexander Kowalski is a Berlin-based electronic music artist, producer and live performer whose work connects the physical force of techno with depth, atmosphere and a distinct sense of musical authorship. Emerging from Berlin’s 1990s club culture, he built his reputation through hardware-driven production, a hands-on studio approach and a sound that bridges direct club impact with emotional detail. Kowalski’s first live performances took place in the late 1990s, including an early appearance at Tresor in 1997. Under the alias DisX3, he released his first records on Tresor Records before establishing himself under his own name with a series of influential releases on Heiko Laux’s Kanzleramt label. His debut album Echoes appeared in 2001, followed by Progress in 2002 and Response in 2003 - records that helped define his reputation for driving, detailed and atmospheric techno. Built around hardware instruments, live jams and a strong performance identity, Kowalski’s music has always carried a physical and immediate quality. Tracks such as “Speaker Attack”, “Belo Horizonte” and collaborations including “All I Got To Know” & “Hot Spot” with Raz Ohara became key moments in his catalogue, combining the directness of club music with a more personal, melodic and emotional language. I n 2006, Kowalski released Changes on PIAS, expanding his sound beyond the framework of his earlier Kanzleramt period. In 2009, he founded Damage Music Berlin, an artist-run label for carefully selected releases and a further expression of his independence, curatorial focus and commitment to artistic control. His 2018 album Cycles on MORD marked another important chapter and introduced an idea that now continues in a new form with the launch of his label of the same name. With the launch of his new label Cycles Music, Kowalski opens a focused contemporary phase of his work: rooted in techno, shaped by the club, but looking beyond function alone. The label brings together new productions, carefully curated reissues and a broader artistic vision dedicated to timeless electronic music - physical, atmospheric and unmistakably his own.Their RA profile lists PIAS, Cocoon Recordings, Factor City Records, Tresor and 6 more.Recently at OXI, ://about blank · often with HEDDA, VEL, Procombo, none of them here that night

“Dutch-born, Berlin-based DJ Laure Croft lives by the mantra ‘keep it sexy’.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Dutch-born, Berlin-based DJ Laure Croft lives by the mantra ‘keep it sexy’. When behind the decks she takes approach for the moment of release in the most powerful dancefloor experiences, when clothes come off and the energy reaches fever pitch. This sensual attitude manifests in the way she plays – a constant rush of high-intensity techno with little respite as she rips through a collection which spans the mid 90s to the mid 00s. She’s no vinyl elitist, but in touching a pair of Technics she found an internal excitement which was lacking from CDJs, where the tension around the mix and the story embedded in the grooves of a record feed into the energy of the party. She glides through her record bag after ceaseless hours of digging and selecting with an instinctive code which defines her unique sound. As her identity as a DJ takes an upwards curve, Laure views her path as a quest to continually find the tracks which fit her particular creative vision, pulling together the pieces of the puzzle from decades of techno culture carved into a near-infinite pool of uptempo, forward-facing machine music. As a woman in a male-dominated scene, she also pushes for a more inclusive climate on all regards, and considers her ever-increasing visibility an opportunity to inspire and enact positive change. With her husky Roxy (named after one of the first queer underground music clubs in Amsterdam) by her side, she holds true to techno’s inherent futurism by creating something new and ever-evolving from the already existing music she discovers and blends. The end result is a sound which celebrates honesty and integrity in the face of modern life’s rampant, paper-thin perfectionism.Recently at Tresor / Globus, RSO.BERLIN, KitKatClub · often with SUMME, HAMY, ENNIO, none of them here that night

Immersed in club culture from a young age, he developed a deep connection to the raw energy of techno, particularly drawing inspiration from scenes emerging in the UK and Spain. In 2012, he relocated to Berlin, and one year later founded his own label, Falling Ethics Records. What began as a platform for his own productions has since evolved into a respected outlet showcasing a diverse range of artists, contributing meaningfully to the global techno landscape. The label is also recognised for its distinctive visual identity and commitment to authenticity, establishing itself as a reference point within the independent scene. As a performer, P.E.A.R.L. brings a considered and intentional approach to the DJ booth. Less focused on spectacle, his sets are deeply personal, shaped by a careful balance of tension and release and an eclectic sense of flow. This unpretentious yet deliberate artistry has earned him quiet respect within the international techno community — not as someone chasing trends, but as an artist with a deep understanding of our culture.Their RA profile lists PoleGroup Recordings, Warm Up, Mord, Falling Ethics and 6 more.Recently at RSO.BERLIN, Else · often with SUMME, Oscar Mulero, Henning Baer, none of them here that night

Since his earliest days in the scene, Amsterdam’s electronic music pioneer Steve Rachmad has created a legion of monikers to cover the variety and broadness of his compositions. Black Scorpion, Tons of Tones, Rachmad Project, Scorp, Parallel 9, Ignacio, Dreg, Sterac Electronics; they all represent a different facet of Rachmad’s music. One of the main creatures living on Planet Rachmad has always been STERAC, a side of Steve’s musical personality that’s not easily described. Let’s say that where other aliases are used for excursions to more dub-, disco-, or house- oriented records, STERAC’s focus has always been on the no-nonsense, darker, and deeper side of techno. The STERAC discography consists of signature cuts, spread out over genre-defining labels such as M-Plant, Tresor, Klockworks, Afterlife, Mote Evolver, Indigo Aera and Delsin. Over the years it’s been reinterpreted, remixed, and reworked by peers such as Ricardo Villalobos, Vince Watson and Marc Romboy. The work rarely fits current trends or pushes through to the absolute top of subjective charts. Rather it simmers, always ready to spark the rise of new generations, parties, and artists’ careers within the musical biotope we all love. His effort and independent attitude have made STERAC a regular on many a stage. From his hometown’s Awakenings, to Berghain in Berlin, Movement festival in Detroit, Fabric London, Loft Barcelona, D-Edge in Sao Paulo, and more 🦂Their RA profile lists Delsin, Klockworks, Kanzleramt, Token and 6 more.Last at Berghain in Dec 2025 · often with S'aint Panic, 1morning, Juana, none of them here that night
