“All started with a innate love for rhythms and a cautious way of observing things as a child.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
All started with a innate love for rhythms and a cautious way of observing things as a child. Being heavily influenced by his mother, who listened to a lot of black music, he started to dig his way through different genres. Such as Hip-Hop, Rap, Reggae, RnB, Funk, Soul, Jazz - especially bossa nova, psychedelic rock, indie and all kinds of electronic strains... Where he still is hooked till today and refurbishes his aesthetics of sonic formula. At the age of 20 he moved to Berlin and began to dance through the nights at Sisyphos, Tresor, the old Griessmühle, Säule and countless underground venues. Being a child of the night, time passed by and the daylight soon came into touch with his path and started to alter his views on the sound as a body and the raver itself. By assuming to understand pieces of the hidden language of electronic dance frequencies, his love began to grow even deeper and made him produce for himself. The years went by. Connections grew and later on he became part of the collective Concrete Berlin. They began to build a fanbase of pretty intense party-guests, who love relentless and diverse sound. Starting to mix on two technics and a '92 in January 2020, Vinyl became his go-to medium. Blending mostly old school vinyl gems with contemporaries in a rough but deep manner, he enchants the crowd into a harmonic dance trip. Short breaks, strong grooves and colorful elements create a captivating atmosphere, an immersive sonic experience. Proper Vinylism expected.
Their RA profile lists Concrete Berlin.

Yang’s artistic practice across sound, installations, A/V and hybrid live performances, experimental and dance floor DJ sets, sound design for exhibitions and artists films, within contexts ranging from galleries and institutions to club culture, festivals and alternative, independent spaces. DJ&Producer Working as a DJ and producer within club culture is a beloved and important direction in Yang’s artistic world. Nanzhen Yang’s club DJ practice focuses on techno music mainly in two fields - techno for danceflooors and darker, more ritualistic techno. Driving, immersive techno with unique cinematic textures and emotional impact defines Nanzhen’s dancefloor sound. During her eight years in London, she became a regular name at influential East London venue FOLD began a residency with Boudica and remained active within London’s creative communities. Since relocating to Berlin in 2025, Nanzhen has performed at Berghain/Panorama Bar (Säule), RSO, and toured internationally across Asia and Europe. In the same year, she released a single on the London-based label Inferno. Under Nanzhen’s darker, more ritualistic techno path, her sound is known for its dense yet balanced blending of noise, drone, EBM, spoken word, techno, and beyond. She has presented this side of her practice at Volnost in Seoul and with the London label Kaos, both of which strongly align with this sonic field. Experimental Soundscapes Nanzhen’s experimental practice includes experimental DJ sets, live sound performances and more. In her experimental DJ sets, her mixing style continuously explores the use of multiple players—not simply mixing tracks, but deconstructing songs into elements and layers to create narrative-led, cinematic sonic journeys with a strong sense of space and atmosphere. She has presented sound works and performances at leading UK institutions, galleries, and museums, including Tate Britain (2024), Whitechapel Gallery (2024), ICA (2023), Somerset House (2022), and more. “After more than 25 years of spinning and producing under pseudonyms Stephanie, D’Stephanie, and later on D’Steph, with releases on renowned labels such as Sonar Kollektiv, Chez, Jalapeno, Hed Kandi, PUMA… a change was necessary to break down old habits and reinvent oneself.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
After more than 25 years of spinning and producing under pseudonyms Stephanie, D’Stephanie, and later on D’Steph, with releases on renowned labels such as Sonar Kollektiv, Chez, Jalapeno, Hed Kandi, PUMA… a change was necessary to break down old habits and reinvent oneself. This resulted in a short move to London in the summer of 2015 and a more consistent one to Berlin 2 months later. It's In Berlin where she revived her passion for real underground house music in its most honest way and resuscitated her inner nineties kid that just discovered house by bringing back the essence of house music without genre limitations… The kind of house music that was about your mind, your body, and your soul. The ultimate seduction for rebels, artists, anarchists, people of all nations, colors, genders, sexualities, and most of all an open-minded, non-commercialized or marketed community. To put this feeling into action, a new pseudonym was inevitable and Sherø was born. Eversince Sherø became a regular at Berlin´s best party scene with a residency at Brenn. and sets at Hor, Buttons, Gegen, Cocktail d’Amore, RSO, Horse meat disco, Watergate, About Blank, KAKE, Renate, Golosa, Whole festival, the Garbicz festival… Around 2018 an old childhood dream resurfaced and resulted in a a few years of brainstorming and preparations to start her own record label. In 2020, right at the start of the pandemic she launched her own imprint KlubKid Records, a queer record label with a cute small roster of quality artists from the electronic music scene: Karma She, Electrosexual, Sherø, Joy Wellboy, Kirill Shapovalov, with his Haute Dance project, Pepper Levain, and Dornika. What has she been up to in the past? It's been quite a ride for Stephanie. Starting at the tender age of 15 years old at Radio Centraal, a local radio station frequented by some of the early stars of fashion and art students, Stephanie moved on quickly to the playgrounds of some of the best clubs in Belgium. From 1993 thru 2005, Stephanie held various well-respected club residencies, serving a mix of house, deep house, Techno, tech house, and other new electronic music genres. 1993 - 1998: At the renowned Café d’Anvers she spun at the groundbreaking Gap Club, Positive Educations, and Nu Skool Friday nights. Meanwhile, Antwerp crowds also witnessed her do her thing at Excursions in Dance on Saturday Nights while on Thursdays she rocked Brussels' very hi-tech Cyber Theatre. Meanwhile, she was a frequent guest DJ at various clubs and Festivals like I love techno, 10 days off festival, Fuse club, and many more. Come 1999, Stephanie was one of the quintessential factors that made Fill Collins club the hippest in Antwerp and beyond. Two years later, she maintained her momentum when she moved to Club Geluk for another 3-year residency at Antwerp’s newest hotspot. In this period she got signed at Holland’s Barkers bookings agency, and scored a 3 monthly residency at Chemistry in Amsterdam, while frequently playing Now & Wow in Rotterdam and Decadence in Ghent. On top of all that, for 4 years, she blessed one of the biggest male lifestyle magazines Ché with often controversial record reviews. After 2005 the club scene in Belgium changed into a more pop up party orientated nightlife so she decided to break free from club residencies and focus on one-off gigs and touring with vocalists who featured on her own productions on labels such as Sonar Kollektiv (Berlin), Jalapeno Records (London), Chez (New York), Hed Kandi (UK), Puma (USA), Black Vinyl (London), Broadcite (London), Wally’s groove world (Antwerp) and many more. Throughout 2011 Stephanie featured vocalists from around the globe: Wunmi (New York/London), Angelique Brown (Detroit), JNM (Amsterdam), Philippo & Melissa (Antwerp). From 2012 until the present day, Stephanie went back to basics and started playing solo again as an underground house dj. their own biography

    the whole biography
Irish-born and New York-based, STE-VÍ has carved out a distinct space within the city’s underground through a disciplined, vinyl-led approach to techno. His selections span the spectrum of the genre, moving from deep, hypnotic layers to driving, emotive peaks and rhythmic grooves, all anchored by a room-led approach. By prioritizing timing and flow, he allows the specific energy of the night to dictate the trajectory of the set. Committed to vinyl culture, his selections prioritize modern pressings while drawing from earlier records for both inspiration and functionality. This approach allows different eras of techno to sit naturally within a forward-looking sound, a perspective recently highlighted by his Berlin debut at Renate for the QS1 showcase in March 2026. Active within New York’s underground circuit since his debut at Basement NY in 2025, he continues to build momentum through consistent appearances at the city's most respected booths. As the founder of Solace NY, he further champions this vinyl-first ethos by curating a platform for emerging talent from the US and Europe. The event series fosters a deliberate exchange between the two landscapes, emphasizing thoughtful programming and a commitment to the fundamental craft of the selector. Whether navigating major club systems or steering an intimate floor, STE-VÍ remains focused on the enduring culture of the wax-only booth.
