    their own biography

    the whole biography
His long-standing relationship with the notorious Techno institution has formed the backdrop to his success, providing an invaluable platform that has allowed him to become one of the most in-demand DJ-producers of the current generation. Those who have witnessed him perform will note not only the diversity in his track selection, but also his ability to create a room rather than just play to it. Though intense and powerful, his DJ output reflects a certain kind of fervour, capturing an artistry and emotion that can often appear absent from the Techno genre. He also possesses a wonderful understanding of how to adapt his music to the circumstances, a competence that means he can be found at both large-scale festivals and small intimate club settings around the world. Much of his early career was marked by marathon sets – a signature that played a considerable role in nurturing his skills and reputation – but even the more compressed sets he shares today evidence an intricate narrative and sense of flow that defines him as a DJ. It was these inherent abilities that led him to compile the fabric 66 compilation in 2012, before winning the BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix of the Year award in 2015. Over recent years his focus has been on touring – but his early works, most of which were released via Ostgut Ton, have become landmarks in the imprint’s history. 2009’s “Dawning”, the first of his collaborations with Marcel Dettmann, kickstarted the label itself and remains a stand-out track in its discography. Other releases of particular note include “Subzero”, taken from his Before One EP, and the Compression Session EP (2010). For many, however, it is his album One (2009) that best captures Klock’s talents as a producer. Still today, this seminal record forms a reference point for all Techno long-players. His skills as a remixer have also seen him rework tracks by a wide variety of artists, including Kerri Chandler, Depeche Mode, Robert Hood and Kenny Larkin. Additionally, Klock also runs Klockworks, a label he founded in 2006 as a home for his more raw and minimal productions. The focus, however, has shifted over recent years, with the label becoming a medium for him to present his more diverse personal tastes and support developing talents. Trevino, DVS1 and Etapp Kyle have all released on the imprint during the earlier stages of their careers. The growth of the label has been aided by a series of showcases at various international locations, including London’s Village Underground, New York, Barcelona, Detroit and Berlin, with more on the horizon.
Their RA profile lists BPitch, Ostgut Ton, Rekids, Memo and 6 more.

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Dasha Rush is a Russian-born, French national, based in Berlin, who is an artist that spends her time traveling around the globe while working on a wide variety of electronic music and art projects. She has released music on labels such as Sonic Groove and Raster Noton, and has also collaborated with others. Additionally, some of her work has been released on her own labels, Fullpanda Records (2005) and the experimental sub-label Hunger to Create (2004) She began her musical career at a young age in Moscow, where she was one of the first female DJs/producers in Eastern Europe. After moving to France in 1996, she gained international recognition in the early 2000s and developed as an electronic music composer, producer, and DJ, experimenting with various forms of art by collaborating with dancers and painters. Rush views genres as starting points rather than destinations and explores rare electronic experimentation that draws from the roots of underground music from the early 20th century. Her album on Raster-Noton (2015), could be a metaphor for her musical work: "These 16 pieces are transmissions from that state between sleep and wakefulness," said Tony Naylor, a reflection of the in- between zones her music often inhabits. Dubby but intense, brutal but tender, foggy yet clear—Sleepstep was a wonderful mass of contradictions. Not being one thing or the other is vitally important to Rush, which goes hand-in-hand with her strong independent streak. She pushes the boundaries of contemporary music to the limit and encourages experimentation with various musical and non-musical forms, creating thoughtful compositions in multidisciplinary projects. Her audiovisual work, inspired by scientific subjects, includes projects like "Antarctic Takt" (2014), "Aurora Cerebralis" (2019), and "Dark Hearts of Space" (2015). In her multidisciplinary show "Les Territoires Ephemeres" (2018), she combines different artistic disciplines such as Japanese butoh, theatre, poetry, and digital music and visuals. In conclusion, Dasha Rush is a live performer, electronic music composer, sound artist, and techno DJ whose work extends beyond the dance floor and sometimes beyond music itself. In her strange and twisted world, the machines are the protagonists of a neo-romanticism, weaved with human dreams. www.dashrush.org www.fullpanda.com Selected performance: -Antarctic Takt ( Audio Visual) 2014 -Dark Hearts Of Space ( Audio Visual) 2015 -Les Territoires Ephemers 2018/ Multidisciplinary) - Aurora Cerebralis 2019 ( Audio Visual) -Dasha Rush and Schloss Mirabel( Cello) (New classic experimental electronica Live show - Hypothetically Personal ( Audio Visual) 2024 Dasha Rush & UY studio collaboration -Zone ( Contemporary Dance / Ballet) -CODESS - choreographed by Candela Captain

Emerging as Phase Fatale in 2014, Berlin-based DJ, producer and label owner, Hayden Payne is rewriting the discourse of Techno with his cross-pollination of gnarly basslines, sensual narratives and mind-control mechanics. Demonstrating his vision through an authentic, highly curated sonic-lens of techno, the New York native’s rhythmic excursions draw on his roots in the underground scenes of his respective cities as well as his reputable experience performing to dancefloors globally. Exemplified by long-standing tenures as a resident for esteemed institutions such as Berlin’s Berghain, KHIDI in Georgia's capital Tbilisi, and queer New York collective Merge, Payne demonstrates a resolute understanding of harnessing club synergy across his productions and DJ sets. With three full length albums under his belt, including the 2020 sophomore release ‘Scanning Backwards’ on Berghain’s imprint Ostgut Ton, Payne’s sonic signature pushes the boundaries of techno sensibilities and reflects the zeitgeist whilst staying true to his own vision. Wasting no time since his solo project’s inception to showcase his expert sonic ability, Payne has toured throughout Europe performing at renowned clubs and festivals worldwide, releasing numerous records on labels including Jealous God, Ostgut Ton, and his own label BITE. Hailing from post-punk roots, Payne draws on his depth of musical knowledge and multitude of influences. their own biography

    the whole biography
A Frankfurt native Andreas Baumecker aka nd_baumecker began his DJ career in 1991 in a bar called Romantica, located near the city’s main train station. The venue was run by legendary nightlife impresario Hans Romanov, who also operated Intimbar, where Baumecker would eventually move on to a short time later. It’s there that Ata and Heiko M/S/O from Playhouse took notice, inviting Baumecker to work as a buyer for their record store Delirium and offering him a residency at their seminal WildPitchClub night at the Club Nachtleben. Soon, Baumecker was regularly playing Frankfurt’s numerous electronic music venues (Box, XS, Music Hall, Dorian Grey), before moving on to Heidelberg, where he promoted the club night HD800 together with Dirk Mantei aka D-Man. After a short stop in Mannheim, regular guest DJ sets at Berghain / Panorama Bar predecessor club OstGut in Berlin, and establishing his own label Freundinnen Audio, nd_baumecker moved to the German capital in 2004. There he not only picked up a residency at Panorama Bar inside the newly opened Berghain but also started a job as the club’s in-house booker. Stylistically, Baumecker covers a truly broad spectrum of dance music, refusing to be limited by genre: "A well known choreographer once said: 'Surprise is important.’ I think this approach describes my DJ style best. I’m constantly oscillating between disco, house, techno, electro, broken beats and pop. Ultimately, I’m open to anything – from brute force to tender. I see the dance floor an experimental field: If you manage to really capture the crowd, you can do almost anything with them." Of course, the flow of tracks and resolving musical differences plays a key role in achieving just that, and few DJs are as adept at uniting fundamentally disparate sounds, different keys, different rhythms and different atmospheres. „If something sounds truly new to me they give me a jolt. Also, dance music should have a good portion of funk and, in a way, it needs to sound like disco, whatever the style. I like vocals a lot. In my opinion they are the most important and significant bits you’re taking home after a good night out; they’re the most memorable." Since 2010 nd also produces with Sam Barker as Barker & Baumecker. The duo have released four 12”s and two albums on Ostgut Ton, operating musically between dancefloor and spiraling left field electronics. Finally, November 2018 sees release of nd_baumecker’s Panorama Bar 07 DJ mix.

    their own biography

    the whole biography
With an unmistakably frisky approach to the craft, Roi Perez’s extensive DJ-sets anchor dance floors and locks the room into a shared frequency, creating an atmosphere of togetherness, where loose sweaty bodies tune in and resolve into a single collective experience. Focusing all of his artistic energy solely on DJing, the Berlin-based DJ crafts long, percussive narratives that swing between sweat and sweetness. With an ever expanding record collection, his sets span groove-led house, tribal-leaning techno, and the teasing, flirtatious heartbeat of a good ballroom. His Panorama Bar residency, lasting over a decade, has shaped his sound signature. In Berghain’s most playful room, Perez has refined a way of mixing that feels expansive without losing intimacy. The same spirit follows him to Dekmantel, Glastonbury Festival and other stages worldwide, and he is equally at home in the steamy basements we all love so much. In short: Roi Perez is a key figure wherever long sets, instinct and mischief shape the night. Perez’s own party LAUNDRETTE traces dance music back to its queer roots through time-stretching sets and a deep attunement to the room’s collective resonance. The project also directs funds to marginalised communities and humanitarian initiatives.
