Since his earliest days in the scene, Amsterdam’s electronic music pioneer Steve Rachmad has created a legion of monikers to cover the variety and broadness of his compositions. Black Scorpion, Tons of Tones, Rachmad Project, Scorp, Parallel 9, Ignacio, Dreg, Sterac Electronics; they all represent a different facet of Rachmad’s music. One of the main creatures living on Planet Rachmad has always been STERAC, a side of Steve’s musical personality that’s not easily described. Let’s say that where other aliases are used for excursions to more dub-, disco-, or house- oriented records, STERAC’s focus has always been on the no-nonsense, darker, and deeper side of techno. The STERAC discography consists of signature cuts, spread out over genre-defining labels such as M-Plant, Tresor, Klockworks, Afterlife, Mote Evolver, Indigo Aera and Delsin. Over the years it’s been reinterpreted, remixed, and reworked by peers such as Ricardo Villalobos, Vince Watson and Marc Romboy. The work rarely fits current trends or pushes through to the absolute top of subjective charts. Rather it simmers, always ready to spark the rise of new generations, parties, and artists’ careers within the musical biotope we all love. His effort and independent attitude have made STERAC a regular on many a stage. From his hometown’s Awakenings, to Berghain in Berlin, Movement festival in Detroit, Fabric London, Loft Barcelona, D-Edge in Sao Paulo, and more 🦂Their RA profile lists Delsin, Klockworks, Kanzleramt, Token and 6 more.Recently at RSO.BERLIN, Berghain · often with S'aint Panic, 1morning, Juana, none of them here that night

Born and raised in Morocco, Chami has been djing there before moving to Lyon, France where he discovered his passion for techno. Now based in Berlin, where he has definitely become fully integrated in the Berlin local underground scene. Chami is one of those artists that truly reflects the spirit of techno, no superficial exterior surface of these days but only focusing on the pure art form itself. He is also part of the face 2 face project with OPH where they played facing each other using 2 mixers and 4 vinyl turntables which lead them to play multiple times in Berghain. He is also part of the Minijob French crew which organizes illegal raves in abandoned locations in the outskirts of Berlin, welcoming everyone regardless of genre, origin and sexuality with a wide variety of music from house disco and techno. These events are organized without public promotion and managed to gather a solid regular audience base that supports their values and trusts what they do. With his strong and determined vinyl only sets Chami is able to showcase his talent on the decks and demonstrate his deep knowledge for this very technical art. When listening to him, you can lock in for clean, rhythmic and mental hours of no bullshit techno.Recently at Berghain, Studio1111, Latitude Record Store · often with Yamour, Don Williams, Tijana T, none of them here that night

“Setaoc Mass is an essential voice in techno and electronic music today.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Setaoc Mass is an essential voice in techno and electronic music today. As a DJ, producer and label curator, his vision is bold and clear, rooted as much in techno as it is in IDM and experimental music. His sound—sleek, hypnotic, ultra-refined—is instantly recognizable, the result of tastes and techniques honed over 15 years of monklike dedication to his craft. Setaoc Mass records are routinely gobbled up by DJs lauded by shops like Hard Wax. His labels, SK_Eleven (a platform for his own music) and SK_X (an outlet for music from like-minded artists are among the best in techno. As a DJ, he is a regular on the world's most hallowed dance floors, from Berghain to Bassiani. Setaoc Mass is Sam Coates, an artist born in Manchester, long-since based in Berlin and now in Kyiv, Ukraine. He started DJing and making music after a simple experience that changed everything: a friend's older brother showing him a series of seminal music videos from artists like LFO, Aphex Twin and Autechre. Soon Coates was soaking up CLR podcasts and marathon techno sets in Berlin. The foundation for the sound of Setaoc Mass—driving, atmospheric and meticulously well crafted—was being set. In 2013, Coates moved from Manchester to Berlin and dedicated himself to music completely."From my morning coffee till I went to bed," he said, "I'd be in my small room with my headphones. No gigs, no cash, just exploring Ableton, Native Instruments, Reaktor, experimenting with different ideas, finding my sound, seeing what I liked and what I didn't like." The work paid off. In 2015, impressed by his sound, Spencer Parker tapped Coates for an EP on Work Them Records." Soon his records were in demand from institutions like Soma Recordings and Len Faki's label, Figure. But Coates was most interested in his own label, SK_Eleven, a "highly personal" project named after his home postal code that remains the primary home for his music. The sound of Setaoc Mass has always stemmed off in many directions, with ambient, electro and experimental scattered across his EPs. Then came 2022's Horror Vacui, a debut album that made a clear artistic statement: with Setaoc Mass, techno is just the tip of the iceberg. A devotee of his music's history with no patience for nostalgia, Coates has absorbed techno's legacy, and is dedicated to pushing it forward. Chinedum Nwosu’s relentless passion for the finer elements of electronic dance music has seen her win over hearts and minds in every aspect she has turned her attention to - from her transformative DJ performances, authoritative productions and exquisitely curated labels - Intacto and now the newly formed Music That Moves (MTM Records). Like only a handful others in the scene, her name signifies a strength of purpose and commitment to quality that is rare in the world of dance music. Based in Amsterdam and with Nigerian roots, Shinedoe has graced some of the world’s most significant DJ booths - from her countless performances in Berlin's Berghain to underground festivals and clubs all over the world. Beginning her journey as a DJ at 19 years old, Shinedoe has drawn inspiration from originators like Jeff Mills, Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson and Orlando Voorn. With her deep connection to the sounds of Detroit, Chicago and the often unsung Amsterdam scene, her DJ sets blend these influences with a warmth and style that few can hope to emulate - her mixes take dancers on a sensual, explorative trip to the beyond. Having honed her considerable skills at her own Inmotion parties in Amsterdam from 2001 (now renamed ‘Intacto Nights’), Shinedoe shared the stage with techno and house royalty, whilst making a huge impact on Amsterdam’s burgeoning scene with her forward-thinking booking policy. Shinedoe radiates a positivity that at times can seem in short supply elsewhere in electronic dance music. Dive in to her extensive back catalogue of productions and it’s clear she has established a sound that is recognisably her own - both timeless and unique. Her releases stretch back over a decade to when her debut track Dillema dropped on Dutch label 100% Pure in 2004. It was clear nothing was going to hold her back - the track was picked up by everyone from the techno elite to the bedroom DJs and ravers who couldn't get enough of its tough, funky and infectious groove. A series of killer 12s would follow, both on her own Intacto imprint and labels such as Ibadan Records, Cocoon, Bpitch Control - to name but a few. Key moments included the Fuse Presents Shinedoe mix that dropped in 2007 on Music Man, which added extra heat to her already hot reputation. Having also contributed stellar mixes for XLR8, Groove magazine, Electronic Beats, and Data Transmission, Shinedoe also delivered exceptional remixes for the likes of The Knife, Orlando Voorn, Pantha Du Prince, Terre Thaemlitz, and Booka Shade. Since its founding in 2004, Intacto has gone from strength to strength under the guidance of Shinedoe and co-head 2000 and One (Dylan Hermelijn). Now with around 100 releases to its name, the label represents a distinct approach to electronic music - rooted in respect, quality and professionalism, yet wildly courageous and adventurous in its releases. Intacto was heavily populated by Shinedoe’s productions - including three albums (Sound Travelling, No Boundaries and Illogical Directions) that won plaudits across the board. Yet in in 2018, Shinedoe founded Music That Moves, a new label exclusively focussing on her own musical vision. MTM is the home for precision techno with soul - literally music that will move you in every sense, and another reminder as to why Chinedum Nwosu is one of the most engaging and inspiring artists in electronic music. Music That Moves (MTM) Founded in 2018, Music That Moves is the latest venture by Amsterdam-based techno maven Shinedoe. Having been jointly responsible for the long running and hugely influential Intacto label with partner in crime 2000 and One, Chinedum Nwosu’s new label is a vehicle for her own special musical vision. Focussing entirely on Shinedoe productions, Music That Moves is the home for precision techno with soul - literally music that will move you in every sense.Their RA profile lists Axis Records, Size Records, Cocoon Recordings, Get Physical Music and 6 more.Last at Berghain in Dec 2025 · often with Clarisa Kimskii, Connor Wrong, Bella Boo, none of them here that night

Since the release of his debut EP Postcards in 2022, Anish Kumar has emerged as a major talent from the UK’s electronic music scene. The 25-year-old British-Indian artist has received repeated co-signs from Four Tet, Daphni, Bonobo, Danny Howard and Pete Tong, with a slew of critically acclaimed releases leading to his selection for a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and Spotify’s RADAR programme. Kumar pulls influence from multiple cultural touchstones, from Northern soul to classic Bollywood, incorporating elements into his signature tapestry of analogue warmth and rough-edged sampling. By resolutely upholding this eclectic sonic architecture in his DJ sets, he has earned bookings at formidable festivals including Glastonbury, Primavera Sound, Lost Village, Dialled In, Four Tet’s All-Dayer, and Field Day, as well as repeat appearances at revered venues such as The Warehouse Project and Printworks. After a successful debut run in North America last year, he returned to support Barry Can’t Swim in April this year. Anish kicked off this year by selling out his debut headline show at Peckham’s Carpet Shop in 30 minutes. He also teamed up with Armenian DJ Hagop Tchaparian for Kino, a two-part release engineered for the dancefloor, where dense rolling percussion meets the haunting, emotive drift of the Turkish tulum. The rest of the year will see Anish releasing a dual compendium of dancefloor-ready tracks, tried and tested through numerous appearances at clubs and festivals throughout the UK and internationally.Their RA profile lists Technicolour and AWAL Recordings.often with Extra Meesh, Marcel Dettmann, Alyssa Stowers, none of them here that night

For more than a decade, he has been one of Berlin’s most enduring presences and a key figure in the city's queer scene, playing regularly at both Panorama Bar and Berghain. His aesthetic is rooted in the origins of underground dance music, taking cues from the rawness of both US and UK cornerstones. Acid-tinged patterns, rolling toms, and full-bodied low ends combine into a groove that’s punchy and alive. As Dekmantel noted on his contribution to their mix series, “He packs plenty in, dexterously switching up the mood as he weaves through evocative and emotional sounds, always powered by crisp drums.” His longevity and quiet authority have led him to be a regular fixture at some of the most celebrated clubs and parties around – Adonis in London, BLITZ in Munich, and Savage Hanoi, as well as performances at leading festivals like Glastonbury’s Block9, Houghton, Wonderfruit, and Lost Village. This energy also fuels his project LAUNDRETTE, a collaboration with Roi Perez and David Elimelech. What began as a series of intimate gatherings has grown into one of Berlin’s most beloved parties, which also function occasionally as fundraisers for marginalised communities and humanitarian causes.Last at Berghain in Jan · often with Roi Perez, David Elimelech, Mike Servito, none of them here that night
“Raised and based in Berlin, deeply connected to its vinyl culture.”

Raised and based in Berlin, deeply connected to its vinyl culture. Sabine Hoffmann has carved out her space through a simple, dedicated approach: playing the music she loves, strictly on wax. Sabine discovered her passion for spinning vinyl around the early 2000’s, when she was first exposed to electronic music. Today, her sets reflect this broad foundation, moving naturally between Techno and House. Whether she is commanding the booth at legendary institutions like Berghain, Tresor, ://about blank or Heideglühen, her selections are driven by an intuitive understanding of the dancefloor and a profound respect for the roots of electronic music. As a longtime face of Berlin’s renowned OYE Records, she sits at the source of crate digging culture. She is taking care of all OYE club events and In Stores happening at one of the record shops. Since January 2023 she is hosting the OYE Podcast series. For Sabine, music has always been about more than just the individual performance. With her "Frauengedeck" initiative, she has spent years creating space for FLINTA* artists, prioritizing community and talent over hype. Her newest project is "Dub Nation". An event series brought to life by good old colleagues and friends Sabine Hoffmann and Kenneth Christiansen. Both share the unconditional love for the deeper and more dubby side of Techno and House. She doesn’t aim for the spotlight, she aims for the right track at the right moment.
