Defined by a technically-deft skill set (Resident Advisor recently proclaimed: “Now this is how you mix techno”) Rachel Noon is a fearless and uncompromising presence both behind the decks and on the dancefloor. Despite her rising European acclaim and recent appointment as resident DJ of Pornceptual, Noon attributes her significant career strides to her hometown of NYC and to Brooklyn's inspiring underground queer scene. Active as both artist and raver there, she successfully fostered a vibrant community of friends and like-minded peers. This community gave rise to her roaming event series LARGE MARGE which has since expanded internationally, with exciting plans ahead. Now from her home-turf Berlin, Noon has co-founded the intimate queer party series mp3, which has rapidly gained popularity in just two short years. If you ask Noon, her most exciting artistic initiative is currently going down inside the studio; she and her friend Steffen Dix have teamed up to form Self Care Starter Pack (or simply, SCSP), a production and live performance duo. Together they have cultivated a process-driven practice whose work takes a nose-dive towards hardware-only experimentation and the integration of optics into performance. Their first single was already released on the mighty Mala Junta x Amniote Editions compilation, and the duo debuted their live set in the fall of 2023 in Berlin. Rachel Noon, a true dancefloor devotee, has been hailed "equal parts DJ and rave spirit."Their RA profile lists Fast Forward Productions.Recently at Renate, Berghain, RSO.BERLIN · often with Carly Zeng, Mike Servito, CRYME, none of them here that night

“Emerging from Berlin’s ever-evolving electronic music landscape, Surf 2 Glory marks the latest chapter in the artistic journey of Greta Carlotta Galla - previously known under her solo alias Galleur.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Emerging from Berlin’s ever-evolving electronic music landscape, Surf 2 Glory marks the latest chapter in the artistic journey of Greta Carlotta Galla - previously known under her solo alias Galleur. What began as a collaborative project has now transformed into a fully independent artistic vision, following the departure of Sanaz from the duo. Today, Surf 2 Glory stands as a singular voice: emotionally charged, high-impact, and rooted in a deep understanding of club culture. Galla’s trajectory into music was never accidental. It was built from the ground up through years of immersion in the industry. With early roots in editorial work, artist club and concert booking, and cultural journalism, she developed a nuanced perspective on music long before stepping fully into the DJ booth. Her experience spans roles in booking agencies, music media, and international brand campaigns, including positions at Intro Magazin, BFOS Booking or agencies like Ogilvy and Styleheads, as well as leading booking strategy for club institutions such as Open Ground Wuppertal. This multifaceted background continues to shape her artistic identity. Rather than approaching DJing as a fixed genre exercise, Surf 2 Glory embodies constant evolution: an ethos Galla herself has emphasized in interviews, describing her sound as fluid and ever-changing, driven by curiosity and a fascination with unexpected sonic “glitches” that give tracks their edge. Musically, Surf 2 Glory operates at the intersection of progressive house, trance, and high-energy club sounds, combining emotional depth with physical intensity. Where Galleur leaned into groove-driven and progressive textures, Surf 2 Glory amplifies the energy: delivering fast-paced, euphoric, and hard-hitting sets designed for peak-time dancefloors. Over the past years, she has performed across Europe, becoming a familiar name in forward-thinking club circuits and festival lineups. Appearances include respected platforms and venues such as Melt Festival, Mysteryland, Pitch Festival Australia and Fusion Festival, high profile clubs such as NITSA Barcelona, Watergate Berlin, Fuse Brussels, Robert Johnson Offenbach or Ushuaia Ibiza - but as well as various underground spaces such as former Lunchbox Candy collective Tracey or Queer Ranch Festival in Lesbos. Her sets are characterized by versatility and an instinctive ability to read the room; balancing intensity with moments of release. A key part of her network is her involvement with the Berlin-based collective Club Heart Broken, a platform known for fostering emotionally driven, genre-fluid club music and nurturing a new generation of artists. Within this context, Surf 2 Glory contributes not only as a performer but as part of a broader cultural movement centered on inclusivity, experimentation, and community. On the production side, Surf 2 Glory (and previously Galleur) has released several EPs such as Dil-Doe or FAF that reflect this duality between introspection and dancefloor energy. Her releases have found their way into curated playlists and underground circulation, steadily building a digital footprint across platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Music with in total about 500.000 Streams. While not driven by mainstream metrics, her streaming presence reflects organic growth and a dedicated listener base within the electronic music community. Despite increasing recognition, Galla maintains a grounded perspective on her career. In earlier interviews, she described her motivation simply as “having fun,” emphasizing humility and respect for the vast talent within the scene. This attitude continues to define Surf 2 Glory today: an artist driven less by commercial ambition and more by genuine passion, curiosity, and connection. From early influences in genres like French Touch, Future Garage, and New Rave to her current exploration of trance-infused club music, Surf 2 Glory represents a continuous process of reinvention. With a sharpened artistic direction and a growing presence on European lineups, this new solo chapter signals not just a rebranding - but a clear step forward into a more focused, high-impact future.Their RA profile lists Club Heart Broken.Recently at OXI, Phantom Bar Berlin, Festsaal Kreuzberg
