From throwing DIY parties in abandoned shops during her university days to running her own labels, Or:la's story is organic and humble. Throughout her journey as an artist, the Derry born producer and DJ has consistently strived to escape categorisation through a preference to follow her intuition and passion for traversing tempos and moods, over any particular genre. As the boss of (former) Deep Sea Frequency and her current label, Céad, Or:la's DIY mentality continues to extend beyond the DJ booth, nurturing a community of diverse artists who share her love for drum-heavy, textured dance music.Their RA profile lists fabric Records, Hotflush Recordings, Deep Sea Frequency, Céad and 3 more.often with Justin Carter, Eamon Harkin, SUMME, none of them here that night

“Fluid, unpredictable, and wired with precision, Rhyw’s music evolves as it defies expectation.”

the whole biography
Fluid, unpredictable, and wired with precision, Rhyw’s music evolves as it defies expectation. Releasing primarily on Fever AM, the imprint he runs with Mor Elian, as well as on Voam and Modeselektor’s SSPB, Rhyw fuses strains of ultra-modern techno and broken beat: eyes-down minimal charged with modular sass, choppy kicks tangled with rolling grooves, sharp design cutting through earthy subs. His amphibious sound slips into otherworldly spaces while never leaving the dance floor. Rhyw turned heads with ‘Biggest Bully,’ leading to sets at Berghain, Berlin Atonal, Boiler Room Tokyo, and tours across Asia and the US. A Rinse FM resident with Mor Elian for the Fever AM show, he’s also contributed mixes to Dekmantel, FACT, Mixmag, and BBC6. His sets balance intricacy and impact - alien, hypnotic, and shapeshifting. In 2022, his “Honey Badger” on Voam became a breakout anthem, and since 2023 he’s brought his live show to Draaimolen, Primavera, Mutek, Positive Education, and more.Their RA profile lists Avian, Fever AM, Seilscheibenpfeiler and Voam.Recently at OHM, Bar Neun · often with Impérieux, Formella, Levente, none of them here that night
