  • Rafael Anton Irisarri

New York City, United States of America · 6 bookings since May 2026

“Rafael Anton Irisarri’s compositions present modern ambient overtones and oceanic symphonies, intricately layered with distortion and bleached-out textures.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Rafael Anton Irisarri’s compositions present modern ambient overtones and oceanic symphonies, intricately layered with distortion and bleached-out textures. Blending influences from metal, shoegaze, and minimalist electronic music, his albums explore a rich spectrum of sonic textures: tape loops, bowed electric guitar, cello, synths, and expansive washes of noise, melody, and harmony. Often exploring themes of introspection, nostalgia, and the emotional interplay between place, sound, and silence. As an international touring artist, Irisarri is esteemed for his captivating performances, frequently presenting his work in unconventional spaces such as churches, synagogues, and museums around the world. These non-traditional spaces amplify the atmospheric qualities of his music, transforming each performance into an otherworldly experience where sound and architecture converge to reframe the audience’s relationship with the environment. Through immersive performances featuring a dynamic interplay of sound and space, Irisarri decontextualizes the audience’s relationship to the venue, providing the perfect setting for his music to resonate with the audience. Highlights include concerts at Sónar (ES), MUTEK (CA/MX/ES), Unsound (PL), Dark Mofo (AU), Donaufestival (AT), Todaysart (NL), and Mito Settembremusica (IT). Irisarri’s meticulous attention to detail is evident in both his solo output and his engineering work, with credits spanning critically acclaimed artists such as Terry Riley, William Basinski, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Grouper, MONO, Devendra Banhart, Eluvium, and many others.
Their RA profile lists Ghostly International, Affin, Umor Rex, A Strangely Isolated Place and 3 more.

  • Martina Bertoni

“Martina Bertoni is an experimental cellist and composer whose work bridges the emotional and physical realms of sound, inviting listeners to explore the liminal spaces where perception, sound, and emotion intersect.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Martina Bertoni is an experimental cellist and composer whose work bridges the emotional and physical realms of sound, inviting listeners to explore the liminal spaces where perception, sound, and emotion intersect. Classically trained, Martina has developed a distinctive practice centered on electronic music, drones, synthesis, modern composition, and generative systems. Her compositions and performances expand and challenge perceptual relationships with control, spatiality, and emotional resonance. Martina’s creative process employs temporal and spatial proximities, utilising timelessness as a central compositional strategy. Through the articulation of sound-generated structures, her work investigates the relational and immersive potential of sound, fostering introspection and transformation. By crafting evocative emotional landscapes, she challenges normative listening paradigms and reimagines the experiential dimensions of space and sound. Following two self-released EPs in 2018 and 2019, Martina debuted her first full-length album, All the Ghosts are Gone (FALK, 2020). Her sophomore album, Music for Empty Flats (Karlrecords, 2021), received critical acclaim and was named one of A Closer Listen’s Top 10 Ambient Drone Albums of 2021. In 2023, she released Hypnagogia (Karlrecords), which garnered widespread praise for its immersive compositions. Her forthcoming album, Electroacoustic Works for Halldorophone, scheduled for release in February 2025 (Karlrecords), builds on her research into tuning systems and generative practices for the Halldorophone, developed during her residency at EMS Elektron Musik Studio in Stockholm. Beyond her artistic practice, Martina’s cello and original works have been featured in numerous soundtracks for films, series, and documentaries. She is also a Lecturer in Composition and Sound Design at the Catalyst Institute for Creative Arts and Technology in Berlin.
Their RA profile lists FALK Records and Affine Dark Science.

“His practices of space making and music are intertwined, aligning to create moments for community and catharsis.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
His practices of space making and music are intertwined, aligning to create moments for community and catharsis. Among his tools are turntables, his voice and records that create either vast, detailed scenes in the mind, the deep urge to move the body, or both. In his early teens, Justin started playing guitar and spending his nights at underground shows at makeshift venues in his small town in the southwest of Virginia. Arriving in NYC in the late 90s, he started performing at and organizing events in the early Brooklyn DIY scene, starting to DJ in 2003. He soon became a resident DJ, booking person and the label manager at Nublu and the Music Director and a resident DJ at APT, two of the last bastions of underground dance music in the wake of 9/11 and the 90s culture wars. Between 2009 and 2011, Justin and fellow DJ Eamon Harkin started Mister Saturday Night and Mister Sunday, parties that happened mostly in friends’ loft spaces and back yards. In 2015, spurred by a need for more permanent space for their own parties as well as a desire to create space for the larger nightlife community, they opened Nowadays. Justin runs and regularly performs at a series called Planetarium, an event where people bring pillows, blankets and sleeping bags, lie in silence and listen deeply to music. He also co-owns Mister Saturday Night Records, a label that's released music and mixes by Suso Saiz, Esteban Adame, CCL, Anthony Naples, Musclecars, Avalon Emerson, Rena Anakwe and Floating Points. As a musician, Justin has released an album of solo material called "The Leaves Fall" (2017) as well as collaborative EPs with The Twilite Tone and Move D. He also performed in the Chorus of Poets conducted by the late downtown experimental jazz musician Butch Morris.
