Watching DJ BORING in action is the antithesis of his mundane pseudonym; vibrant, energising, fun and full of passion, Tristan Hallis puts his all into every set. Over the last few years he has ascended rapidly thanks to his dazzling displays, impeccable selection and high quality productions. The Australian selector takes great pride in his digging capabilities, constantly searching for lesser-known gems from years gone by, and pairing them up with more recent cuts that are equally exceptional. Since he arrived with ‘Winona’ in 2016, DJ BORING has continued to push forward and demonstrate his abilities on stage, in the clubs, at festivals and behind-the-scenes in the studio. He has an innate ability to blend seemingly disparate styles. His debut on BBC Radio 1’s legendary Essential Mix and an amazing Boiler Room appearance at Lost Sundays exemplify this DJ style, but tune in to any of his streams, recorded sets or, better still, see him in person and you’re bound to be left buzzing by his sheer dynamism. In the studio, the producer has honed in on a contemporary sound that pays homage to the roots of dance music. His productions are birthed in hardware and imbued with Hallis' energetic personality - a human touch which can often be lacking in many productions today. This trait shines through in his new live show where hardware and controllers become a natural extension of his creative self, a conduit through which he presents a fresh take on his music. DJ BORING epitomises the dance floor roots of club culture; positive energy, liberating and unifying selections and unbridled fun and self-expression, combined with respect for the music and a genuine desire to share his unwavering passion. Despite his impressive list of achievements it’s clear BORING is only just getting started, with his first live show finalised alongside plans for an album project in the not-too-distant future, the stage is set for the next phase of this soaring artist’s remarkable career.Their RA profile lists Ninja Tune, Let's Play House, Heist Recordings, Bobby Donny and 4 more.Recently at DSTRKT Club Berlin, ÆDEN, Komplex Berlin · often with Jubilee, Rose Kourts, Rimarkable, none of them here that night

The London-born, Berlin-based artist masterfully straddles a heady mix of house, techno and disco that has seen him become a regular at legendary spots like Panorama Bar/Berghain and Concrete while his output sits in the boxes of DJs like Ryan Elliott, The Black Madonna, DVS1 and Gerd Janson. With a record store background, it’s unsurprising that Parker’s instinct to dig is paired with an unapologetically high standard when it comes to track selection. As a result, he’s a DJ who draws on undiscovered classics as much as he does unreleased material during a typical set. This perfectionist stance spills into his production work too - taut, energetic and often relentless productions released through a select group of outlets including his own Work Them Records and Radio Slave’s Rekids, an imprint he very much considers a home away from home. With a constant desire to keep things fresh, Parker is no stranger to side projects though. Many Spencer Parker edits have graced record store shelves and DJ’s boxes while 2011 saw the initially uncredited itsnotover 12” series launch, becoming a bonafide cult classic before culminating in a CD album release (and critical acclaim) in 2014. 2018 sees Spencer Parker in rare form. His DJ diary continues to grow with the USA, South America and the antipodes adding to an ever evolving and enviable EU rotation. Work Them continues to grow, with Parker fostering new talent like P.Leone and Valya Kan as well as inviting established acts like Rising Sun, DJ Deep, Italojohnson and DJ Fettburger to contribute remixes to his own Different Shapes & Sizes series of 12s. Late 2018 will also see Parker drop his long awaited second LP, the follow up to 2011’s ‘A Gun For Hire’, via the imprint.Their RA profile lists SAW Recordings, Buzzin Fly, Rekids, Tsuba Records and 6 more.Recently at Kater, Tausend, Sensorium · often with HOPPER, Bambi-S, ACID BOGEN, none of them here that night
