Her distinct production style is heavily influenced by the raw, hardware-based sounds of the 90s, citing acid legends like Josh Wink, DJ Pierre, Freddy Fresh, Tim Taylor, Hardfloor & Thomas P. Heckmann as some of her biggest influences during her formative years. Fast forward to today, and it’s these exact producers she can be found regularly featuring alongside on the same vinyl releases. It’s therefore no surprise that she’s often called upon to share her knowledge and expertise around the world. Whether it’s being invited by the Goethe Institute to give production workshops in Mongolia, or being hand-picked by Roland to talk about their illustrious 303 at ADE in Amsterdam, her unique approach to music making and years of experience spent honing her craft have allowed her to constantly travel the globe for over a decade. Bloody Mary’s unique musical taste and elegant on-stage presence have seen her feature at festivals such as Movement Detroit, Piknic Electronik, CRSSD, Montreux Jazz Festival, Epizode Vietnam, Rainbow Serpent, ADE, Sonar and WMC Miami. A regular at Berghain and Tresor, as well as across international clubs and festivals, she has built a distinctive presence that bridges scenes and sensibilities. With releases on Killekill, Cultivated Electronics and Machine, alongside Discos Atónicos — the label she founded in 2017 — this trajectory continues to evolve. Raised and based in Berlin, deeply connected to its vinyl culture. Sabine Hoffmann has carved out her space through a simple, dedicated approach: playing the music she loves, strictly on wax. Sabine discovered her passion for spinning vinyl around the early 2000’s, when she was first exposed to electronic music. Today, her sets reflect this broad foundation, moving naturally between Techno and House. Whether she is commanding the booth at legendary institutions like Berghain, Tresor, ://about blank or Heideglühen, her selections are driven by an intuitive understanding of the dancefloor and a profound respect for the roots of electronic music. As a longtime face of Berlin’s renowned OYE Records, she sits at the source of crate digging culture. She is taking care of all OYE club events and In Stores happening at one of the record shops. Since January 2023 she is hosting the OYE Podcast series. For Sabine, music has always been about more than just the individual performance. With her "Frauengedeck" initiative, she has spent years creating space for FLINTA* artists, prioritizing community and talent over hype. Her newest project is "Dub Nation". An event series brought to life by good old colleagues and friends Sabine Hoffmann and Kenneth Christiansen. Both share the unconditional love for the deeper and more dubby side of Techno and House. She doesn’t aim for the spotlight, she aims for the right track at the right moment.
