the whole biography
Bogotá-born and Barcelona-based, Adriana Lopez has been shaping a distinctive and uncompromising approach to techno defined by restraint, precision and depth. Starting out in the late ‘90s in her native city, where she held key residencies at La Sala, BarC and Cinema and performed across clubs and cities throughout Colombia, she was part of the first wave shaping the country’s techno circuit before relocating to Barcelona in 2003, marking the beginning of her international trajectory. "Techno purist and skill icon, Adriana Lopez has been a scene-wide inspiration for over two decades, creating exceptional, atmospheric momentum with every performance.” — Stone Techno Festival. Her productions, released on respected labels such as Warm Up, Semantica, PoleGroup, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Modularz and her own Grey Report, reflect a singular focus on hypnotic structures, subtle progression and controlled intensity. As a DJ, Lopez is known for precise, long-form sets that prioritise flow while building a powerful sense of tension and impact through measured progression, drawing dancers into carefully constructed narratives rather than chasing immediacy. “Her sound is dark yet driving; its rhythm and energy offer pure escapism. It’s hard to find a more dedicated, consistent and skilful approach to DJing…” — fabric, London Across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australia, she has built a steady and far-reaching presence over the years, performing at institutions and renowned venues including Berghain, Tresor, fabric, Fuse, Rex Club, Concrete, Elysia, Grelle Forelle, Lux Fragil, Khidi, Razzmatazz, Nitsa, Fabrik, Basement, Public Records, Vent, Faust and Vurt, alongside appearances at festivals such as Awakenings, DGTL, Stone Techno, XRDS and Rainbow Serpent Festival. In both club and studio, her approach remains consistent, moving away from trends in favour of clarity, discipline and enduring functionality on the dance floor. “Starting out on vinyl and later training in sound engineering, she doesn’t just mix music—she understands what is happening at every moment. Rather than abrupt changes, she draws you in through a carefully articulated sequence where everything unfolds gradually.” — The True Throb “Pioneer of Colombia’s early techno scene and celebrated for her technical mastery and refusal to follow trends, Adriana Lopez delivers a raw, deep and driving sound that balances intensity and subtlety, earning her a reputation as one of underground techno’s most consistent and authentic artists.” — Vault SessionsTheir RA profile lists BPitch, Semantica Records, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Illegal Alien Records and 6 more.Recently at Tresor / Globus, RSO.BERLIN · often with TRESOR, GLOBUS, Function, none of them here that night
“Rather than following trends, ALI3N sculpts emotionally charged journeys designed to destabilize, reconnect, and provoke.”

Rather than following trends, ALI3N sculpts emotionally charged journeys designed to destabilize, reconnect, and provoke. The sets are precise but fluid – tools for altered states. There is a fascination with contrast: cold textures versus human warmth, repetition versus rupture, silence versus impact. ALI3N has performed at renowned venues like RSO, Tresor, Elysia and FI Cologne, always bringing a narrative that feels both distant and intimate. Beyond the booth, the project connects to broader themes – alienation, identity, and the emotional potential of electronic music in a posthuman era.Recently at RSO.BERLIN, OXI, Tresor / Globus · often with Stephanie Sykes, OLHA, Inverse Element, none of them here that night
“As the resident DJ of Grounded Theory, one of its founders, curator of its celebrated events, and a DJ of worldwide renown for ability and tastes, Henning Baer forged his enviable résumé with his own hands.”
their own biography
the whole biography
As the resident DJ of Grounded Theory, one of its founders, curator of its celebrated events, and a DJ of worldwide renown for ability and tastes, Henning Baer forged his enviable résumé with his own hands. Since its beginning in 2009, Grounded Theory has grown from a bracing new idea in Berlin techno to an institution of artistic nightlife both at its home and around the continent. Directed with acute vision and unerring judgment, its philosophy extracted from Henning’s long years at the front lines of electronic music, it remains diverse and cutting edge. Mirroring Henning Baer's DJ sets, Grounded Theory combines music from different eras and areas, remaining rooted in techno while shedding light on sounds less frequently heard on Berlin dance floors: forward UK music, experimental electronics, and underground techno names from across the globe, both new and established. Henning Baer is asserting greater independence with innovative new production styles on a recent EP for Taanstaafl Planets. The launch of his own MANHIGH imprint buttresses the foundation of his own work, to be built up alongside a select few whose productions meet the curatorial acumen of one of techno’s finest ears. After esteemed releases on Sonic Groove, K209 and elsewhere, fans worldwide have much to look forward to from a label whose standards match those of Grounded Theory. Already a respected artist, Henning’s diligence has transported him from the counter to the shelves of Hardwax and from the floor to the booth of Berghain in regular appearances. Now he is building further upon these impressive accomplishments, profoundly shaping contemporary techno from recent memory into the foreseeable future.Their RA profile lists Sonic Groove, NonPlus+, K209, Non Series and 5 more.Recently at RSO.BERLIN, Else · often with Olivia Mendez, Alarico, Akua, none of them here that night

“Nene H is an artist in constant motion.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Nene H is an artist in constant motion. Shaped by her Turkish-Azerbaijani heritage, a conservatory education in classical piano, and an enduring infatuation with the emotional complexity of sound, her music is an evolving force tethered to both instinct and precision. Whether in the club or on stage, Nene H’s output unravels, reforms, and leaves a mark that’s hard to name but impossible to forget. After a period of intense self-inquiry, 2025 signals a sharp pivot for Nene H. A chapter defined by a hyper-focussed refining of sound, while retaining her signature elasticity. Her newest work doesn’t simplify; it distills, honing the emotional and rhythmic tensions that have always driven her sound. On stage, that focus splinters into immersive, shape-shifting performances. From her monumental 8-hour live improvisation at STOOR to her choral collaborations for CTM with The National Choir of Georgia, and Dekmantel with the Dutch Opera, Nene H continues to push the limits of form, without losing sight of feeling. Rooted in Berlin for over a decade, she has become a vital presence in the city’s queer underground not only as an artist, but as a cultural amplifier, championing SWANA, Muslim, and femme perspectives in spaces where they’ve long been overlooked. As a producer, her catalog spans labels such as Standard Deviation, Intrepid Skin, Live from Earth, and Incienso, the latter releasing her starkly intimate debut album Ali علي. Her forthcoming second album, Second Skin, deepens her commitment to radical vulnerability: a sonic reckoning with identity, grief, and selfhood, written in the midst of six months of personal and emotional upheaval.Their RA profile lists Bedouin Records, Incienso, Intrepid Skin, Live From Earth and 3 more.Recently at OHM, ÆDEN, MUENZE · often with Chippy Nonstop, Lacchesi, Daria Kolosova, none of them here that night

“Volvox is a global leader in the movement for representation of female, queer, trans and nonbinary identities in the techno industry.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Volvox is a global leader in the movement for representation of female, queer, trans and nonbinary identities in the techno industry. A dominant figure of New York’s techno renaissance, across the globe the name DJ Volvox has become synonymous with surgical mixing technique and a certain square-shooting, take-no-prisoner approach towards dance floor business. Her parties are the stuff of legend, and her authenticity as a global cultural figure is undeniable. As a member of Discwoman, the all-female DJ crew that transformed electronic music culture over the last decade, she broke ground for more women to rise in the global DJ ranks and inspired countless more to begin in the craft. Having circled the globe more times than she can count, Volvox has turned her sights back on nurturing electronic music culture in her home, the United States. Ariana is now spearheading the construction of a space of inclusivity under the umbrella of a FLINTA-driven event series, simply named FLINTA NYC. Her music-driven program seeks to reinvigorate the techno scene by reviving context and nuance and blending scenes to push Brooklyn nightlife into the next chapter. Ariana is known for tough, stripped-back techno and groovy hypnotic sets that seduce the listener into a maelstrom of emotion. She has been a busy DJ and event producer since 2006 and in that time has shared the decks with many international stars including DVS1, Marcel Dettmann, Ellen Allien, The Hacker, Legowelt and Mike Servito. Raised in Buffalo, New York, her early experiences in the industrial and rave scenes of rust-belt America shaped her outlook on dance culture. An ardent supporter of the underground, she was a key figure in developing the electronic music scene in Boston, Massachusetts from 2007-2010. Breaking out internationally in 2015 she has enjoyed a busy tour schedule including noted appearances at Dekmantel and the ascendant Sustain-Release festival in upstate New York. Since then she tours extensively across Europe and makes regular appearances at Berghain/Panorama Bar in Berlin. She also tours South America and Asia yearly. Ariana is a unique character on the US scene guaranteed to bring a high energy show that lights up dance floors with an undeniable spirit.Their RA profile lists Ostgut Ton, Jack Dept and Murder Records.often with Dominga, Boris, Sissies of Mercy, none of them here that night

their own biography
the whole biography
With an unparalleled presence, style, and demeanor in the underground, DJ, producer and label head Xiorro is renowned for igniting revelry. Having begun his artistry in 2017 in Brooklyn’s then-vibrant underground, Xiorro’s current status as a Berlin-based DJ is illuminated by his impactful run in Brooklyn with ALKHEMY & the beloved warehouse and off-site rave series, The Black Hole, which he both co-founded. Now a fixture in Berlin’s fervent club scene, Xiorro has transitioned seamlessly into a resident role at RSO where he frequents regularly, picking up where he left off at with his residency when the club was known as Griessmuehle and located in Neukölln. Fueled by a relentless and unyielding dedication to the craft, Xiorro has forged a style which blends endurance with mixing prowess and a meticulous selection. For a secret that almost feels like a clandestine, the dance floor needs not to worry when in the hands of Xiorro, as he has solidified himself as a trusted armament of RSO where he’s recognized for his extended sets during the club’s renown club night weekenders. His ability to play long sets and adapt to the style of the night elevates him to a league of his own. Whether guiding the audience through an intimate, incorporeal experience or powering the dance floor with moving fervency, Xiorro’s versatility and adaptability shines through as an exquisite fusion of artistic finesse together with his Puerto Rican heritage. Moreover, what distinguishes Xiorro apart from others is not only his self-taught musical ear for composing otherworldly vibrations but also his innate sense of drive and groove. The way that Xiorro understands how groovy rhythms succumb to the drive and revel in the intensity of the increased tempo, makes him a luminary leaving an indelible mark in the hearts of listeners. The inception of Xiorro’s Whirlwind Trax label in 2019 stands as an attestation to his commitment to interpreting techno through his own lenses. With releases that showcase both Xiorro’s own work as well as the work of label affiliates, Whirlwind Trax holds a catalogue of tracks that are sure to set a soundsystem ablaze. In tandem with a mixture of a desire to create a memorable experience with an affinity for the sheer excitement of techno, Xiorro now works on the continuance of The Black Hole now evolving into the ULTRANOVA club night series at RSO in 2024. Creating a community for the outcast of the outcasts, Xiorro is now focused on cultivating his own community within the Berlin ecosystem through his newly inaugurated night.Their RA profile lists Whirlwind Trax.Recently at OXI, RSO.BERLIN, Latitude Record Store · often with Grace Dahl, Disguised, Josey Rebelle, none of them here that night

When she left her hometown of Rabat at 18 years old to study engineering in Lyon, Jennifer’s life took an unexpected turn after experiencing techno music for the first time at Le Sucre: it was love at first sight. Immersing herself into the club culture, she allowed herself to ascend, becoming Vel. Returning full-circle to, she is resident at Le Sucre in Lyon since 2022. Vel’s sound pulses with life, driven by the primal force of percussion and infused with a distinctly womanly energy. Her techno is a harmonious blend of power and grace, where thunderous drums collide with ethereal whispers, invoking both strength and sensuality. These beats, deeply rooted in the ancient rhythms of her heritage, are paired with celestial voices that seem to echo from another realm. The divine feminine radiates through every track, shaping her music into a living force that captivates the senses. During her sets, Vel fearlessly explores diverse genres, from Trance to Ambient, breaking BPM constraints and creating a dynamic interplay between the raw and the refined—an alchemist of sound and rhythm. Vel has quickly risen through the ranks of the music scene, earning respect and mentorship from industry icons like Anetha and In Aeternam Vale. Her releases trace the evolution of her blossoming artistry, with three standout EPs—Who by Fire (2020) on Unusual Records, He Took One Cliché (2021), and Era L (2022) on XX LAB—alongside numerous impactful tracks for various compilations, including her signature piece, You Taste Like Zaatar. Building on the growing strength of her live performances, Vel is about to make waves with her debut album, There is Always a Solution, on Mama Told Ya in fall 2024. 2024 has been a milestone year for Vel. She stood out with live performances at Berghain, Nuits Sonores, DGTL, and a euphoric B2B at Stone Techno alongside Anetha. Beyond France, Vel’s journey has taken her across Europe and further afield, with appearances at renowned venues like Basement (New York), RSO (Berlin), Rex Club (Paris), and E1 (London). This year also marked her first Australasian tour, where she left her rhythmic imprint in cities like Seoul, Taipei, Sydney, and Melbourne, spreading her magic across the globe. A true queen of percussion and a master of sonic subtlety, Vel’s music is a reflection of her fierce yet graceful energy. Each track she crafts, each performance she delivers is a delicate balance of raw power and refined emotion. Emotionally charged and driven by mighty high-kicks, her music is crafted with meticulous attention to sound design, channeling fresh energy into every track. Vel has firmly established herself as one of the most exciting names in the scene. “Vision, subversion, history and bliss each flow like life blood in the work of Woody92.”

the whole biography
Vision, subversion, history and bliss each flow like life blood in the work of Woody92. A DJ, aesthete, label-owner and experimentalist operating within the consistently fascinating outer-reaches of the Dutch electronic music scene, Woody92 is a multi-faceted artist whose distinct perspective manifests itself across alternate yet intertwined sensory plains. As a DJ, his expertly curated and characteristic sets deviate from the norm, exploring psychoactive strains of leftfield electronics, hypnotic techno and radiant minimalism. Woody92 previously cemented his singular and sophisticated DJ style at a number of clubs and institutions, but is equally respected for capturing the energy and curiosity of audiences in outsider spaces across his native Netherlands, as well as far beyond. His pristine yet unpredictable mixes have already left a unique musical footprint, establishing a quietly defiant reputation as a musical curator with increasingly rare depth and focus. Born in the unassuming town of Delft on the West Coast of Holland, the more radical reverberations from neighbouring city The Hague had a subconscious and eventually more explicit effect on his youthful curiosity and creativity. Woody’s dedication to collecting and reinterpreting electronic music is both parallel and complimentary to his education in art, with a particular interest in graphic design, inspired by aesthetics throughout history and culture. The sum total of these passions manifests in Omen Wapta, a new record label and multidisciplinary platform launched by Woody92 in 2021. Highlighting music and creative projects from an international but close-knit circle of friends and collaborators, Omen Wapta is inspired by communal histories in order to imagine a collaborative future, a "transitory playground for the imagination" consisting of a broad spectrum of styles, encompassing fashion lines and design as well as sonic artefacts. With the alchemy of Omen Wapta as the beating heart of his overall vision, Woody92 continues to challenge himself and others, fluidly curating a path to creative enlightenment and a patiently earned catharsis, both in the club and inspired by it.Their RA profile lists Omen Wapta.Recently at MaHalla, RSO.BERLIN · often with Laima Adelaide, Jan Loup, Xenia Reaper, none of them here that night

Carmen Electro is a project by a Finnish artist whose DJ sets and productions move fluidly through edges of house, techno, and driving club music. Rooted in a love for vinyl and shaped by years spent immersed in underground dance floors, her sets balance precision with intuition, drawing dancers into a primalistic journey that is both emotionally charged and rhythmically compelling. Known for weaving together driving grooves, atmospheric textures, and unexpected moments of tension and release, Carmen approaches DJing as a form of storytelling. Rather than chasing trends, she focuses on creating a sense of connection: between records, between bodies on the dance floor, and between the listener and herself. Her selections reflect a fascination with the transformative power of nightlife and the ways in which music can blur the boundaries between introspection and collective experience. Carmen’s work of exploring club culture as a space for ritual, self-discovery, and belonging extends outside the DJ booth. Through ongoing field research, productions, event organizing and her KUJE Records label initiatives, she is committed to nurturing communities that celebrate curiosity, authenticity, and the freedom to explore identity through sound. As one of the most iconic artists of her generation, Ellen Allien embodies the core ethos of techno: a visionary who looks to the future for inspiration, carving out her own niche and presiding over an empire that has infused techno, rave, and dance music culture with her unique DNA. Ellen Allien’s journey through the years is a blueprint for a healthy underground community and grounded career in music. Her playful mind and openness to sharing knowledge, imbues her art with an energy and inspiration that’s been highly influential to the subculture across art, design and fashion in her native Berlin. Ellen’s eternally creative mind has led to the production of ten albums, to join her extensive back catalogue of singles, EPs and remix work for seminal labels like Warp and Mute. Most recently she’s collaborated with Italian band Ash Code to bring together dark wave and techno in a seamless dancefloor marriage, remixed Lebanon Hannover and Rosa Anschütz, as well as contributing tracks to compilations from Gegen and Serendeepity. In 2023 she celebrated the 20th Anniversary of her seminal album ‘Stadtkind’, her most recent album AurAA delivered emotional techno resonating far beyond the dancefloor. A dynamic selector who prides herself on her extensive knowledge of music and dance floors, she’s travelled the globe as a DJ playing at every major club on the circuit, and commanding the big stages at festivals from Europe to South America. Ellen runs her days long ‘We Are Not Alone’ raves at RSO in her beloved hometown Berlin, bringing the party worldwide as UFO Rave, and she hosts in-store record shop gigs as Vinylism. In her role as head of BPitch, and UFO Inc., Ellen channels her ceaseless passion for digging into A&R, seeking out and nurturing new talent, alongside established artists and friends. She has signed new artists to her labels, including German trans-media artist Rosa Anschütz, Dutch electronic producer extraordinaire Dollkraut/DJ Europarking, and supports the growth of future talents like Métaraph and Shaleen through the booking agency. Steering the label to become one of the most important platforms for underground electronica. BPitch operates in a league of all its own, influencing the scene at home, but with a global reach. Ellen Allien’s constant forward focus led to the conception of a brand new record label, UFO Inc. in 2018; as an incubator for rough, ravey, raw techno – providing an additional space for Ellen to release her tougher productions, purely for the dancefloor. 2020-22 presented an extremely difficult situation for Ellen and the rest of the global electronic music community as clubs and festivals were shut down. Unable to tour, she conceived the hugely successful Balcony Streaming sessions, hosted from her home in Berlin. The livestreams allowed her to continue DJing and engaging with her fanbase, while also supporting music from a wide range of artists, new and old. During this time, she channeled her curatorial experience into an expansive three-part (expanded to six in 2023) compilation series. Named after her We Are Not Alone parties, the collection comprised tracks from artists that embody the ethos; club music with a rugged aesthetic and an unapologetic dancefloor focus. Volumes four-six were released together with a film and installation as AFTER DARK with Ellen’s longtime collaborator the director/photographer Stini Roehrs.AFTER DARK exhibition premiered at the Hamburger Bahnhof modern art museum in Berlin in July, with a new soundtrack by Ellen.Their RA profile lists fabric Records, Mute Records, Warp Records, Spectral Sound and 6 more.Recently at RSO.BERLIN, Philharmonie Berlin, Quantum Oddity Gallery · often with OLHA, Sarah Sommers, Hyperaktivist, none of them here that night

Her artistic journey is a hypnotic dance, where vinyl-only sets have become her signature groove. With relentless passion, she pushes the boundaries, fusing the nostalgia of the '90s with daring, modern soundscapes. In Shaleen's world, the pursuit of perfection is a constant beat. Her relentless quest for sonic mastery has led her to the analog realm, where she's fallen head over heels. A modular system now pulses at the core of her creative arsenal, forging the path towards electrifying live performances. Her global conquest is well underway, with iconic venues like Tresor Berlin, the enigmatic Säule at Berghain, and the pulsating E1 London bearing witness to her magnetic sets. She's graced stages from Link Bologna to Radion Amsterdam, leaving audiences electrified and craving more. As a resident of the transcendent "We Are Not Alone" events, Shaleen regularly casts her spell over Revier Südost Berlin. Her residency with Seelen. Records finds her a frequent guest at the revered Institut für Zukunft and the legendary Distillery Leipzig, solidifying her status as a techno shaman of the highest order. In 2020, she unveiled her debut EP in the heart of this techno tapestry, soon followed by releases on the trailblazing Turkish label Primus, known for its unwavering support of women's rights, and the pulsating streets of New York's Whirlwindtraxx. Shaleen's beats have even rallied for important causes, contributing tracks to Deestricted's fundraising compilation for Save Life in Ukraine and the latest "We Are Not Alone" compilation. But Shaleen's journey transcends the decks and studio. Her event series SURD stands as the vanguard of the first feminine/queer movement in West Germany's Ruhr-Area, an indomitable force since its inception in 2016 and still reverberating with defiant energy. And that's not all - Shaleen's audacious spirit knows no bounds. She's at the forefront of launching an interdisciplinary label project rooted in political activism, amplifying crucial causes and spreading awareness with every sonic wave. “Spekki Webu was born into contrast, half Afro-American, half German, raised in the Netherlands and shaped by a history of black music.”

Spekki Webu was born into contrast, half Afro-American, half German, raised in the Netherlands and shaped by a history of black music. Long before he became the artist he is today, he was already listening deeply. Exploring scenes. Observing people. Absorbing stories. What started as curiosity turned into devotion, not to genres, but to a psychedelic stream of sound that refuses to be boxed. Moving through the formative underground of hardcore and freeparty culture, Spekki embraced experimentation from an early age. Making music and playing records were never career moves, but natural extensions of his lifelong observation practice. He didn’t chase styles; he time-traveled through them. Carrying forward what mattered, leaving behind what didn’t. Music became a lifestyle. Freedom became method. Both on and off stage, Spekki is known for his explosive energy and direct presence, yet beneath it lives a profound sensitivity for community and spirituality. Through his Mirror Zone label, he welcomes talented outliers into a space where differences can exist and sound has many colors. As he often states, “Mirror Zone is a mirror of life,” reflecting the introspective vision behind his label and audiovisual projects such as Signal Transmutations. Today, Spekki operates at the forefront of the global electronic music scene while remaining grounded in the same values that shaped him decades ago: autonomy and creative freedom. “Don’t let yourself be fooled into thinking you belong in one place. Stay open-minded.” Like a reptile shedding its skin, his transformative craft is an open invitation to step into ever-evolving states of sound.Their RA profile lists Blue Hour, MIRROR ZONE, Amniote, positivesource and 4 more.Recently at Backsteinboot, Berghain, RSO.BERLIN · often with Lilian Stark, TILDA, DJOANNA, none of them here that night

ÜBERKIKZ combines driving kicks, tooly synths, tribal and folkloric elements into a hypnotic journey. With each kick, she tells stories that resonate deeply, encouraging a confrontation with one's origins. Free from thought, almost instinctively, her sets are a call to surrender to the moment and experience all these raw emotions in its purest form. At the heart of her sets lies the belief that we all share a common origin – beyond nationality, culture, gender or sexuality. Music is the universal bond that unites us, and this is the essence ÜBERKIKZ aims to express through her art: the power of rhytms to bring us together as a community and remind us of the unity of all humanity. She also publicly positions herself against sexism, discrimination and racism, as she wants the scene to become more inclusive. ÜBERKIKZ does this by actively supporting FLINTA* artists and encouraging them to make space for themselves in a male-dominated scene.Recently at RSO.BERLIN, ZENNER, DSTRKT Club Berlin · often with DJ Hyperdrive, future.666, fumi, none of them here that night
