Ponygirl’s approach to writing music and DJing blends detailed rhythm work with a refined sense of storytelling. Moving body and mind through ever-evolving soundscapes. Driven by connecting audiences through sound, Ponygirl pulls inspiration from a wide range of musical influences to create their own sound. Their combination of refined drum rhythms with intricate percussive elements and alien-like ambiances allows tension and release to flow organically. This sensitivity to dynamic range fosters a powerful exchange between artist and audience, where each performance becomes a shared, collective experience. Ponygirl's productions and sets unfold like narratives, shifting effortlessly between deep, earthy grooves and surreal, abstract textures, inviting listeners into an introspective, almost dreamlike state. By embracing unconventional structures and textures, Ponygirl challenges the boundaries of form while remaining anchored in the physicality of the dance floor.Recently at Fitzroy, ://about blank, Tresor / Globus · often with Mental Limit, Gloria Rose, JKS, none of them here that night
